Demonstrations have taken place in Berlin, Vienna, Amsterdam and Belgium, where students have set up encampments and called for a ceasefire in Gaza. Violent clashes erupted in Amsterdam and authorities said at least 125 people were detained. In Berlin, students formed a human chain to protect their camp while police detained several people. The protests are in response to Israel‘s bombardment of Gaza.
German police broke up a protest by between sixty and eighty pro-Palestinian activists who had occupied a courtyard on Freie Universität Berlin’s campus on Tuesday, May 7.
“An occupation is not acceptable on the FU Berlin campus,” university president Guenter Ziegler said.

He criticized the West’s relentless campaign of distorting international law to support their stance — an example is the right to self-defence. There is no doubt that an occupying Power does not have the right to self-defence against the people it is occupying, as those people, according to international humanitarian law, have the right to self-defence. The West’s complicity has made Gaza “not only a graveyard of children but a graveyard of international law”, he asserted. On the UNRWA accusations, he observed that Western democracies moved fast to suspend funding without waiting for evidence, only to discover later that Israel was lying.

magine if Iran, Syria, Lebanon, or Turkey – fully backed, armed and diplomatically protected by Russia and China – had the will and the wherewithal to bomb Tel Aviv for three months, day and night, murder tens of thousands of Israelis, maim countless more and make millions homeless, and turn the city into a heap of uninhabitable rubble, like Gaza today.
Just imagine it for a few seconds: Iran and its allies deliberately targeting populated parts of Tel Aviv, hospitals, synagogues, schools, universities, libraries – or indeed any populated place – to ensure maximum civilian casualties. They would tell the world they were just looking for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet.
Ask yourself what the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia and Germany in particular would do within 24 hours of the onslaught of this fictional scenario.
By the 1920s, Lemkin was formulating the concepts and laws that were articulated in his best-known book, Axis Rule in Occupied Europe (1944). His unpublished manuscripts reveal that he saw colonialism as an integral part of a world history of genocide.
Those manuscripts covered an extremely wide range of cases where European colonial powers were responsible for mass killing, from the Spanish conquest of the Americas in the sixteenth century and the slaughter of indigenous peoples in Australia and New Zealand to the German massacre of the Hereros in Namibia a few decades earlier.
In North and South America, Australia, Asia and Africa, European settler-colonialists have left behind the evidence of their psychotic genocidal practices.
The European transatlantic slave trade may have halved the population of Africa, some historians believe. The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many African colonies were all built on the systematic extermination, displacement and internment of the original inhabitants.
In the Israeli settler-colonialism now on violent display in Gaza and the rest of Palestine, European colonialism is living up to its murderous infamy and has returned to the global stage with a vengeance.
For decades, scholars of European colonialism have been working hard to document, archive and connect these episodes of the premeditated mass murder of native people around the globe.

What have we got to offer the world?” He was looking for a positive alternative to what he described as the “dread road” the world was then on, which in his view could only lead to one of two outcomes: atomic war or immiseration tied to perpetual military buildups. He described the outcome of continuing with the status quo as “not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.”

America’s allies in Europe are desperate for alternative supplies of fuel amid the Ukraine war, and U.S. producers are happy to provide what they can. So wouldn’t you know the Biden Administration now wants to limit fuel exports.
That’s the message Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm sent last week in a letter imploring seven major refiners to limit fuel exports. We obtained a copy of the letter, which the Administration didn’t release publicly.

Der Amtsantritt Angela Merkels in Deutschland 2005, mit Hilfe der bereits degenerierten SPD, der in 2007 folgende Amtsantritt von Nicolas Sarkozy in Frankreich, für den Segolene Royal durch die eigene „Sozialistische Partei“ und ihren damaligen Ehemann Francois Hollande hilfreich aus dem Weg sabotiert wurde, sowie der Amtsantritt von Dmitri Medwedew in Russland 2008, markierten nicht nur das Ende eines zeitweiligen Gegengewichts gegen den us-amerikanisch-britischen Imperialismus und seiner in Europa bis heute tabuisierten Feldzüge und Eroberungskriege (irrationale Propaganda inklusive). Mit diesen Amtsantritten vollzog sich auch der brutalstmögliche Verrat an der Europäischen Idee.
Statt eines demokratischen Europas – und das heisst immer: ein Europa der souveränen Demokratien – organisierten die nun neu zusammen gesetzten Regierungsräte in Brüssel einen Putsch von oben. Nacheinander wurden alle verfassungsmäßigen Rechte alle Bürger in allen EU-Mitgliedsländern systematisch, systemisch zersetzt, gebrochen, ignoriert, umgangen oder nach Möglichkeit abgeschafft. Gleichzeitig wurde die bereits voran gegangene systematische Enteignung der Menschen im Machtbereich der „Europäischen Union“ eskaliert, insbesondere im neuen Währungsgebiet „Euro“. Der widerstandslos von allen vermeintlich linken oder sozialen Organisationen akzeptierte brutale Sozialraub durch die Hartz IV-Gesetze in Deutschland, der heute nach allgemein akzeptierter Auffassung als eine Ursache der Staatskrisen in Europa gilt, wurde Vorbild für das, was danach kam.
Allen voran in diesem Putsch marschierten sämtliche Unterparteien der „Sozialdemokratischen Partei Europas“ SPE/PES, wie die SPD in Deutschland und die SPÖ in Österreich, sowie alle Unterparteien der „Europäischen Volkspartei“ EVP, wie CDU und CSU in Deutschland und ÖVP in Österreich. Und Seit an Seit mit dabei: die „Europäische Liberale, Demokratische und Reformpartei“ ELDR, mit ihrer Unterpartei FDP, die „Europäische Grüne Partei“ mit deren Unterpartei Bündnis 90/Die Grünen und natürlich die „Europäische Linke“, mit ihrer ganz besonderen Unterunterpartei in Deutschland.
Ebenfalls eine zentrale Rolle in diesem kalten, geostrategischen Putsch spielten die Einheitsgewerkschaften, allen voran natürlich der „Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund“ DGB. Nicht umsonst ist deren Vorsitzender auch der Vorsitzende des „Internationalen Gewerkschaftsbundes“ IGB.
Ökonomisches Konzept ist hierbei die Kontrollgewinnung über möglichst viele Volkswirtschaften in Europa, die Schaffung einer Einheitszone und nachfolgend die strategische Absenkung aller Löhne und Sozialstandards auf möglichst niedriges Niveau, um von China im Zuge dessen Aufstiegs zur Tributzone des Währungszentrums USA die Rolle der Handelszone zu übernehmen. Soll heissen: niedrige Währung, niedrige Löhne, niedrige Standards, ergo niedrige Produktionskosten im weltweiten „Wettbewerb“, maximale Gewinne für die exportierenden Konzerne und Handelskammern bei Verkauf bzw Lieferung in Währungszentrum und Tributzone. Der Zusammenbruch der Binnennachfrage wird hierbei gezielt in Kauf genommen und ist Teil des Konzepts.
Diese Aufteilung der Welt in Vier Zonen der Ökonomie basiert darauf, dass das nichtstaatliche, durch keinerlei Verträge oder Gesetzgebung eingeschränkte weltweite Interbankensystem des Kapitalismus, basierend auf dem seit dem Römischen Imperium entstandenen Gewohnheitsrecht „Lex Mercatoria“, unantastbar bleibt.
Was in Griechenland passiert, ist ein seit Inkrafttreten des Lissabon-Vertrages Dezember 2009 in Zeitlupe ablaufender Staatsstreich, der reihum durch die Demokratien Europas gehen soll, wie die Pest des Mittelalters. Er soll zerstören, er soll lähmen, er soll Freiräume schaffen, rechtsfreie Räume, in denen dann das Zweite Paradoxon Feudalismus, die Herrschaft einer verschwindend kleinen reichen Minderheit über eine durch das Dritte Paradoxon Hierarchie und Stände gelähmte Mehrheit, mit den neuen Technologien der Bevölkerungskontrolle im 21. Jahrhundert perfektioniert und ein neues, dunkles Zeitalter einläuten soll.

Die Lektion der Krise lautet, dass eine Währungsunion eiserne Haushaltsdisziplin erfordert, um einen Boom-Bust-Zyklus von vornherein zu verhindern. Wieder kommen drei Systemalternativen für die EU in Betracht, um eine solche Disziplin herzustellen:
· Das amerikanische System. In den Vereinigten Staaten gibt es keinen Rettungsmechanismus und keine zwischenstaatlichen Kredite, um bedrängten Staaten zu helfen. Verschwenderische Staaten machen gegebenenfalls Pleite. Die Märkte unterstützen die erforderliche Schuldendisziplin rechtzeitig, indem sie höhere Zinssätze für Staatsschulden fordern, wenn es gefährlich wird. Dieses System funktioniert seit dem 19. Jahrhundert recht gut, obwohl (oder weil) es zu einer beträchtlichen Anzahl an Staatsbankrotten geführt hat. Zuletzt ist New York in den 1970ger Jahren von den Märkten mit harter Hand zur Disziplin gezwungen worden.

There is also the ongoing issue related to the situation in Donbass. The President said that Russia is conducting exercises and has amassed a large group of forces. But has Ukraine not amassed them also? They have the same 100,000 or 125,000 troops concentrated in Donbass.
To reiterate, they have tried to resolve the Donbass issue through military means twice, and they did not conceal this as they used equipment and aviation. Who will give us guarantees that this will not happen? This is also a legitimate question on our part.

Die Herrschaft über Kolonien erlangten die Machthaber Europas, indem sie Militär in die Kolonien entsendeten und Zivilverwaltungen aufbauten. Dieses Vorgehen rechtfertigten sie damit, dass sie die Bevölkerung in den kolonialen Besitzungen für minderwertig erklärten. Die sogenannten Wilden betrachteten sie als rassisch unterlegen, als unzivilisiert und unfähig, sich selbst zu verwalten. Es galt daher als legitim, sie in den Kolonien zur Arbeit zu zwingen oder als Sklaven zu exportieren.
Kolonialmächte wollten Kolonien aber nicht nur beherrschen und ausbeuten, sondern ihnen auch ihre Kulturen und Religionen aufprägen.
Das permanente Trauma, das Millionen von Zivilisten, besonders Kindern, zugefügt wurde, ist vielleicht unmöglich zu berechnen. Und es wurde von Europa und der Welt geleugnet oder ignoriert. So vergessen wie die Streubombensplitter und das abgereicherte Uran, die die „humanitäre Intervention“ der NATO hinterlassen hat.
Die ersten 30 Reisenden befinden seit dem 10. April in Quarantäne, um in der Zeit der Pandemie einen sicheren Auftakt zu ermöglichen. Anfang Mai werden, laut aktuellen Informationen, sieben Zapatistas per Segelschiff nach Europa aufbrechen. Damit soll die europäische Kolonialisierung Lateinamerikas „symbolisch konterkariert“ werden.
Europaweit sind bei Corona-Demonstrationen Tausende Menschen auf die Straße gegangen. Viele Regierungen hatten die Maßnahmen zur Eindämmung der Pandemie angesichts einer dritten Infektionswelle zuletzt noch einmal verschärft – zum Unmut vieler Bürger.

At the time of this writing [June 3, 2020], Latin America has become the new epicenter of the pandemic with growing number of reported cases of infections and deaths. Various governments in Latin America (Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil) and the Inter-American Development Bank have deployed digital technologies to control the transmission of the virus and to support testing and tracing. They have collaborated with private companies and universities in setting up mobile applications for geolocalizing and contact-tracing possibly infected people. Expectedly, these actions have raised concerns about the negative impact of massive surveillance.
However, while we recognize the legitimacy of these concerns, the problem in Latin America takes different dimensions than in Europe, North America, and East Asia. For the moment, the governments in the region have significant problems to launch and maintain massive digital surveillance apparatuses.
The top U.S. diplomat is traveling to Prague and Pilsen in the Czech Republic; Ljubljana, Slovenia; Vienna, Austria; and Warsaw, Poland, from August 11 to 15.
