Trump’s ‘blow ‘em up’ threat to Oman means he’s now attacked or threatened 1 out of every 13 countries

He’s launched strikes in seven countries so far this term — Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen — after also attacking some of those countries in his first term. That doesn’t even count the strikes on alleged drug-trafficking boats in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean, which have targeted nearly 60 vessels and killed more than 190 people.

He has also threatened or left open the possibility of strikes against seven others this term: Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Greenland (which is part of Denmark), Mexico, Panama and now Oman. He also threatened Mexico and North Korea in his first term.

Trump still ‚very serious‘ about Greenland, Danish PM warns ahead of panel

(February 14, 2026)

Earlier today, the Danish PM was asked whether the crisis has passed now that negotiations are taking place between Copenhagen and Washington, to which she replied that she doesn‘t believe so.

„I think the desire from the US president is exactly the same. He’s very serious about this,“ she said.

She‘s also reiterated it isn‘t possible to put a price on the island and that sovereignty needs to be respected – adding that the Greenlandic people have already signalled they do not want to be American.

‘It hurts my heart’: Sen. Murkowski travels to Greenland after threats by Pres. Trump to acquire territory

While she may have been the only Republican there, Murkowski said there are many others who quietly disagree with the president.

“I will also speak to the fact that there are some members of my party who don’t want to be seen as engaging in anything that might be viewed as contrary to President Trump’s initiative or desire, and so who may not be speaking out publicly,” she said.

She also said conversations with her fellow Republicans show that “occupying, owning, controlling, taking over Greenland,” is the “red line.”

Danish troops were ‚combat ready‘ in Greenland

(January 23, 2026)

DR said a Danish military order last week said soldiers in Greenland should be equipped with live ammunition.

(…)

The deployment was officially a part of the Danish-led military exercise Arctic Endurance — which Copenhagen has said will continue „throughout large parts of the coming year.“

A few days after Trump announced that the United States would get Greenland „one way or the other“, eight European countries sent several dozen troops to Greenland, officially to prepare for the exercise.

Some have since departed, including a group of about 15 Germans
and some Swedes, while others continue to arrive.

But days after that announcement, top Greenlandic and European officials are still unclear about what Trump and Rutte agreed to in Davos. Details about the deal have not been disclosed.

Alle Optionen bleiben denkbar – 3 strategische Ziele: So agiert Dänemark gegen Trumps Grönland-Drohungen

Greenland‘s only US military base is (quietly) getting a massive upgrade

None of the base improvements, which USA TODAY reviewed via federal purchasing systems, appear to signal a significant increase in size or change in mission. The runway upgrades, for instance, include improvements to the landing and taxiway lighting systems, a critical component given the facility is in darkness for long stretches but depends heavily on resupply flights from the U.S. mainland.

But notes in the contracting materials also reference classified work that might be performed by the U.S. military or specialized contractors.

France is committed to the sovereignty and independence of nations, in Europe and elsewhere. This guides our choices. It underpins our commitment to the United Nations and to its Charter.

It is on this basis that we support, and will continue to support Ukraine and that we have built a coalition of the willing for a robust and lasting peace, to defend these principles and our security.

It is also on this basis that we decided to take part in the exercise organized by Denmark in Greenland. We fully assume this decision, because security in the Arctic and at the outer edges of our Europe is at stake.

No intimidation or threat will influence us—neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world when we are confronted with such situations.

Tariff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context. Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner should they be confirmed. We will ensure that European sovereignty is upheld.

It is in this spirit that I will engage with our European partners.
