Netanyahu says Saudi Arabia joining Abraham Accords would be „historic leap forward for peace“
„The joint American and Israeli military action against the genocidal regime in Teheran and Israel‘s crushing of Iran‘s terror axis have created the possibility to expand the circle of peace,“ Netanyahu said in the statement from his office on Thursday.

Israel must immediately release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya: UN experts
On 27 December 2024, Kamal Adwan Hospital was the last functioning hospital in North Gaza. âThe hospitalâs director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya along with other medical staff and patients were illegally detained by Israel on the basis of the abusive Unlawful Combatantsâ Lawâ, the experts said.
(…)
âIsrael and its allies have ignored the International Court of Justice and UN mechanims and experts as they continue to commit these violations of international law without any consequences,â they said.

The experts:
– Tlaleng Mofokeng, Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health
– Francesca Albanese, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967
– Morris Tidball-Binz, Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions
– Ben Saul, Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedom while countering terrorism
Save Dr. Abu Safiya
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to his attorney: âThis is the last time youâll see me⊠They brought me here to kill me.â
Recent reports raise grave concerns about Dr. Abu Safiya and the other healthcare professionals from Gaza held in Israeli detention facilities.
PHRI demands the immediate removal of Dr. Abu Safiya from the Rekafet underground security facility and an urgent assessment of his condition by an independent actor, before it is too late.
Detained Gaza doctor almost unrecognisable after injuries in Israeli jail, lawyer says
âI have visited Dr Abu Safiya several times since his detention, but the individual I encountered during this latest visit was not the same person I had previously met,â Odeh said on Sunday, calling for an immediate independent medical examination. ââHis physical and psychological state, the severe injuries visible on his body, and his personal testimony leave no room for doubt: his life is in immediate danger.â
Abu Safiya appeared frightened, distressed and reluctant to speak freely in the meeting, Odeh said, but told his lawyer that he was subjected to daily beatings in the Rakefet jail, and had lost consciousness several times as a result.
Rakefet, where prisoners never see daylight, was built in the 1980s to hold senior organised crime figures before being closed on the grounds it was inhumane. It was reopened on the orders of the far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Kidnapped Gaza Doctor Faces âLife-Threatening Conditionâ in Israeli Captivity
A famed Palestinian hospital director who Israel abducted in December 2024 is on the brink of death, his lawyer warns.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya has been in Israeli captivity for 18 months, ever since Israeli forces shut down the crucial Kamal Adwan Hospital â the second largest in northern Gaza â in the winter of 2024.
Now, Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) is relaying a warning from Abu Safiyaâs lawyer, Nasser Odeh, that the prominent Palestinian pediatrician and hospital director is in âlife-threatening conditionâ and enduring âdaily violence and beatings.â
âThe essence of childhood has been destroyedâ: Israelâs deliberate targeting of Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 7 October 2023
56. On 24 January 2024, at around 08:30, a family was preparing to evacuate from their ground-floor apartment in a seven-storey building at al-Amal, west of Khan Younis, following receipt of an evacuation order by the Israeli security forces. The father noticed quadcopters hovering over the area and presence of the Israeli security forces about 100 meters east of their house, instructing people to head west to Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis. His 15-year-old son stepped out of the house holding a white cloth, when the father, who was inside the house, heard a gunshot from the eastern side where Israeli soldiers were located. The boy was hit in the left foot, and he fell on his face. As he attempted to stand, two more gunshots were fired within seconds from the same direction. One shot hit the boy on his back and another on the left side of his neck. Seeing this, the boyâs 20-year-old brother ran towards him and was also shot on the left side of his chest. He collapsed on top of his younger brother.
57. The victimsâ mother waved her hands at the south side window to signal for an ambulance when the Israeli security forces fired bullets which hit her too, slightly injuring her in her left hand. The father tried several times to pull away the bodies of both his sons but, every time he tried to advance towards them, the Israeli security forces fired in his direction. He then left the neighbourhood with the rest of his family. In early March 2024, he learned that two days after the incident, an ambulance arrived to retrieve his sonsâ bodies. To date, the family is unaware where the bodies are buried.
58. The Commission assesses that the 15-year-old boy holding the white flag was shot by Israeli soldiers using a DAN.338 calibre bolt-action sniper rifle, commonly used by Israeli snipers, from a position located around 200 metres away. Given that sniper rifles used by the Israeli security forces normally have a precision accuracy range of more than 1,200 metres, the Israeli shooter should have been able to see that the target was a child and that he was holding a white flag. The additional two shots fired after the boy was hit were likely meant to ensure that he was dead. The additional killing of the boyâs brother points to a deliberate effort by the Israeli security forces to target the boy as well as any person that came to retrieve him. The Commission could not find any indication of a threat towards members of the Israeli security forces from the familyâs location. The Commission finds that the Israeli security forcesâ 98th Division were operating in the area at the time of the incident.
Injuring of a 10-day-old baby by quadcopter inside the tent in Nuseirat camp
59. On 12 April 2024 at 13:00, a 10 day-old-baby boy was shot by a quadcopter while being breastfed by his mother inside their tent in Nuseirat camp. The mother was alone in the tent, breastfeeding her baby, when a single bullet from a quadcopter hit the baby in the head and exited through the back of his head, hitting the pillow behind her. The baby survived but sustained brain injuries and now suffers from seizures.
60. The Commission viewed and analysed images of the bullet that hit the baby. The Commission concluded on reasonable grounds that the bullet was fired from a sniper rifle mounted on a quadcopter. Considering that the shooting occurred in broad daylight, the
Commission concludes that the quadcopter controller would have been able to see inside the tent and assesses that the target was a mother and a baby.
Injuring of a four-year-old girl in Khan Younis displacement camp

HRC Press Conference: Commission of Inquiry (COI) on OPT, including East Jerusalem, and Israel
Press conference with the Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel, to launch their latest report.

Israel continues to commit genocide, atrocity crimes by deliberately targeting Palestinian children, UN independent commission finds
Last year, the commission concluded that âIsrael had committed genocide against the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip, found that the intense scale and systematic nature of the Israeli military operations have continued, resulting in unprecedented death, injury and trauma of Palestinian children.â
Here are some findings in the commissionâs latest report:
– Israel has killed 20,000 children and injured 44,000 more since 7 October 2023
– Severe physical and mental injuries, mass trauma, orphanhood, separation, disability, repeated displacements, starvation and the collapse of education and healthcare have erased childhood and will continue to affect children in Gaza throughout their lives
– Palestinian children have been arrested and subjected to torture and other severe forms of mistreatment in Israeli prisons and detention facilities, with no information on their whereabouts
– Israeli security forces have used sexual violence against children as part of the collective shaming and oppression, entrenched within a prolonged, ethnic, gendered and intergenerational pattern of occupation and hostilities
Pro-Palestine activists sentenced as terrorists over damage at Israeli arms factory in UK
(June 12, 2026)
A report relied on by the prosecution at Fridayâs sentencing hearing said the raid on the factory had caused ÂŁ1.2m of damage, including to 41 military assets. The report referred to ÂŁ395,056 of damage to six units in an unnamed drone system as well as damage to other unmanned aerial vehicles.
Mr Justice Johnson told the four they had participated in a âcarefully planned and highly sophisticated attackâ, adding: âThe fact that you were trying to shut down a company that you thought was acting unlawfully does not reduce the seriousness of the offence.â

Israel Drops Bombs on Gaza Wedding, 5 Dead
At least five civilians were killed in a wedding party in Gaza City after Israeli forces bombed tents at the location of the celebration.
Al Jazeera journalists on the scene reported that the attack occurred on Saturday, June 6 local time. Several projectiles exploded inside or near the tents that were part of the wedding party.
Israelâs Netanyahu orders army to seize 70 percent of Gaza
âAt this point, we are fully in control of 60 percent of the territory of the Gaza Strip,â Netanyahu said during a conference hosted by the pre-military Ein Prat leadership academy.
âMy directive is to get to⊠70 percent,â he added.
When audience members shouted in support of full Israeli control over Gaza, Netanyahu replied: âWeâre going in order. First 70 percent⊠weâll start with that.â
Global Sumud Flotilla Urges Probe of US Complicity in Membersâ Abduction and Torture by Israel
That vessel, the amphibious landing ship INS Nahshon, was built by Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding in Louisiana and was fully financed by the US government. GSF activists first became aware of what they now call the âtorture boatâ when it was used to detain members of the previous Gaza-bound flotilla, dozens of whom required medical attention for broken ribs, noses, and other injuries inflicted by Israeli forces.
This time, according to GSF, âdetained humanitarians, doctors, and journalists were processed one by one through a darkened shipping container. Inside, groups of three to five soldiers systematically brutalized each person who came through the door while those waiting outside listened to the screams.â
The farce of Israelâs âliberalâ investigative journalism
Two weeks ago, the investigative program HaMakor on Israelâs Channel 13 aired a 60-minute report on the December 2023 killing of three Israeli hostages â Yotam Haim, Alon Shamriz, and Samer Al-Talalka â who were shot by Israeli soldiers in Shujaâiya, eastern Gaza City, after emerging from a hiding place carrying a white flag.
Even without intimate knowledge of the details, one thing should have been clear from the outset: When soldiers fire from inside buildings at three shirtless men carrying a white flag, kill two of them, then pursue the third, call him out of hiding, and shoot him dead, the issue is not merely âmistaken identity.â The issue is that Israeli soldiers routinely shoot innocent people. One would have to be extraordinarily naĂŻve to believe that the single time this happened, the victims just happened to be Israelis.
Global Sumud Flotilla Releases Horrific, Newly Emerging Testimonies as Survivors Return Home
May 24, 2026 INTERNATIONAL â As civilian participants from the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) begin landing in their respective home countries and some continue their recovery in Istanbul, the full, devastating scale of the violence executed by the israeli Occupation Forces (iOF) is being laid bare. Following the most recent unlawful interception of the flotilla in international waters on 18 May, newly emerging and harrowing testimonies confirm a coordinated campaign of systematic torture, severe physical and psychological trauma, and targeted gender-based and sexual violence.
(The violence reported in this release covers only the second of two illegal israeli interceptions that took place during the Spring 2026 flotilla mission; the first attack took place on 29 April off the coast of Crete, which also had numerous reports of sexual violence, rape and physical injuries including 35 people requiring medical care for broken noses, ribs and injuries from rubber bullets deployed by it iOF.)
Global Sumud Flotilla Volunteers Recount Abuse on âTorture Boatâ
(May 22, 2026)
In what is believed to be the US-built-and-funded INS Nahshon, detainees were âprocessedâ one by one, and taken into darkened containers where groups of iOF commandos brutalised them one by one. Yassine Benjelloun, who had sailed on a previous flotilla mission and expected comparable treatment, described the moment of entry:
„He throws me in a container that is dark, and all of a sudden, I hear, âWelcome to israel. â And I start getting hit, like first hit on the head, second hit in the ribs, then I fall, then they kick me. And I‘m hearing people screaming, and all of a sudden people stop screaming, and I don‘t see anything, and I don‘t know what‘s going to happen. “ â Yassine Benjelloun
Adrien Berthel, France, described being singled out for targeted humiliation and beating after iOF soldiers noticed he was wearing nail polish and made assumptions about his sexuality.
Veronica Otero, participant number 22 to board, witnessed the processing of nearly all 180 detainees across three days:
„I can say that all were in many ways abused, not one single person walking with nothing. Among them there were 36 fractures, many broken ribs, torso, shoulders, and back. People were in agony. People were not breathing [due to the broken ribs]. „â Veronica Otero
At least 12 sexual assaults have been documented on that vessel alone, including anal rape and forcible penetration by a handgun. iOF soldiers tased volunteers in the face, neck and body, the strikes multiplying with each new group brought in. Multiple volunteers report being photographed during strip searches and guards laughing throughout.
Warning: distressful content!
Those genocidal maniacs RAPED humanitarian activist trying to take food and medicine to children in Gaza! And the worst is that even this they escalate to much worse forms with the 9000 Palestinians in israeli dungeons (almost 400 children)!
Global Sumud Flotilla activist Juliet Lamont describes severe abuse by Israel: âI was tied with cables, water tortured, and sexually assaulted. People had broken ribs, were tased in the face, and injected with unknown sedatives.â

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you‘ll do so.
(May 11, 2026)
I‘ve spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured — they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews — but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they‘re equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here‘s a gift link to the article:
The Horror of Sexual Assault in Israeli Prisons
(transcript)
Iâm appalled by this pattern of abuse, partly because our American tax dollars subsidize the Israeli security forces. I fear that leaves us complicit. The United States has leverage, and we could use it to insist on an end to the impunity and to demand that Red Cross visits be restored for Palestinian detainees. Look, whether you consider yourself pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian, hereâs one thing we should be able to agree on: Weâre anti-rape. The horrific abuse inflicted on Israeli women on Oct. 7 now happens to Palestinians day after day after day.
The Silence That Meets the Rape of Palestinians
Itâs a simple proposition: Whatever our views of the Middle East conflict, we should be able to unite in condemning rape.
Supporters of Israel made that point after the brutal sexual assaults against Israeli women during the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Benjamin Netanyahu and many U.S. senators, including Marco Rubio, condemned that sexual violence, and Netanyahu rightly called on âall civilized leadersâ to âspeak up.â
And yet in wrenching interviews, Palestinians have recounted to me a pattern of widespread Israeli sexual violence against men, women and even children â by soldiers, settlers, interrogators in the Shin Bet internal security agency and, above all, prison guards.
Israeli PM slams âmoral bankruptcyâ of EU over settler sanctions
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the European Union on Monday after the bloc imposed sanctions on some Israeli settler organisations over violence against Palestinians.
„As Israel and the U.S. are ‚doing Europe‘s dirty work‘ by fighting for civilisation against jihadist lunatics in Iran and elsewhere, the European Union exposed its moral bankruptcy by drawing a false symmetry between Israeli citizens and Hamas terrorists,“ Netanyahu‘s office said on its official X account.
Israeli Drone Kills Man and 12-Year-Old Daughter in âBarbaricâ Double-Tap Strike
The Associated Press reported:
The ministry said that after the initial strike, the man and his daughter managed to move away from the site only to be attacked again by the drone instantly killing the man. The girl then moved about 100 meters (yards) away and was hit again by the drone after she had been already wounded.
The girl was taken to the hospital, but did not survive her injuries, according to Lebanonâs National News Agency.
âWhat does terrorism mean to you? If itâs [not] double-tap killings of paramedics, journalists, and today a 12 year old girl, then what is it?â
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (TRIGGER WARNING) Reports of Severe Physical and Sexual Violence by IOF Soldiers Against Participants Emerge Following Illegal israeli Interception of the Flotilla Last Week
MEDITERRANEAN SEA â The Global Sumud Flotilla is releasing preliminary first-hand testimonies detailing a pattern of severe physical and sexual violence and systematic degradation perpetrated against civilian participants following the interception of the flotilla in international waters. These accounts, gathered following the release of 179 participants to Greek authorities, indicate a reliance on physical violence and abuse, including sexual abuse, as tools of intimidation and control.
After Beirut strike, Netanyahu says ‚no immunity‘ for militants
(May 7, 2026)
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday there âwas no „immunity“ for Israel‘s enemies, a day after the Israeli military targeted a Hezbollah commander in its first strike on Beirut‘s southern suburbs since a âceasefire declared last month.
‚Killing like we haven‘t since 1967‘: Top Israeli general brags about shooting Palestinians in occupied West Bank
âA plasterer in [the West Bank city of] Ramallah earns 1,500 shekels ($510) a month and a plasterer in [the Israeli town of] Ramle earns 7,000 shekels a month, so of course he‘s willing to risk being shot in the knee or a week of detention, if he succeeded in crossing over and can work in a bakery,â Bluth explained.
âThere are a lot of âlimping monumentsâ in Palestinian villages, of those who tried to [cross the barrier], so there is a price being paid,â he boasted.
The Israeli general also said Palestinians throwing rocks were engaged in âterrorism,â while bragging about how many his troops had killed last year.
Israel killing Palestinians âlike we haven‘t since 1967â, top commander says
Israelâs top commander in the occupied West Bank has said the army is killing Palestinians at levels ânot seen since 1967â, according to Haaretz.
Avi Bluth, head of the Israeli armyâs Central Command, made the remarks in a closed forum, where he also defended looser rules of engagement allowing troops to fire at unarmed Palestinians.
He acknowledged a discriminatory approach whereby Jewish Israeli stone-throwers are not targeted while Palestinians carrying out similar acts are fired at.
„In three years, we have killed 1,500 terrorists,“ he said, referring to Palestinians.
„So how is there no intifada? Why arenât they taking to the streets? Why is the Palestinian public indifferent? Why are there no disturbances?“ Bluth, a settler who has been the Israeli army commander in the West Bank since 2024, added.
Israeli strike kills infant girl in south Lebanon during father‘s funeral
The strike on the Saeed family home in the village of Srifa took place on Wednesday, the first day of a U.S.-Iran ceasefire that many in Lebanon hoped would apply to their country, too. Instead, Israeli strikes killed more than 350 across Lebanon âand left the Saeed family with four more relatives to bury.
„They said it was a ceasefire. Like all these people, we went âup to the village. We went to the casket to read the prayers and walk home… suddenly we felt â like a storm was landing right on us,“ said Nasser Saeed, Aline‘s 64-year-old grandfather, who also survived.
On Sunday, he joined other relatives in the âsouthern port city of Tyre to pick up the bodies…
Hezbollah âwas counting on Iranâ to deliver Lebanon ceasefire
(today)
Now, Hezbollah can continue to fire rockets across the border, and it has been doing that. Hezbollah has also been trying to slow Israelâs ground invasion in the south. But as you can see, Israel is the one that has the upper hand. It controls the skies, it can cause death, it can cause destruction, and this is all heaping pressure on the population and on the Lebanese government.
Hezbollah was counting on Iran having the leverage to silence this front, but that has not happened yet, despite statements from Iranian officials.
Israeli attack on funeral in east Lebanon kills at least 10

The agency said rescuers and medics are still operating at the scene.
