The camp of Zionist parties opposing Netanyahu is projected to secure 52 seats, compared to 51 seats for Netanyahu‘s camp, along with the four seats that the Handel-Zelicha alliance is expected to obtain, which has yet to announce which camp it will join.
As for Arab representation, represented by the two Arab lists; the Triangular Joint List, which includes the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality, the National Democratic Assembly, and the Arab Movement for Change, and the United List, together they are projected to obtain 13 seats, with 8 for the Joint List and 5 for the United List.

At the last moment, the young man turns away from Eisenkot to embrace Mansour Abbas, the leader of the United Arab List (Ra’am). Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana has similarly said that “Eisenkot has no coalition without Abbas.” Such messages target so-called soft-right voters who might otherwise drift toward Eisenkot.
Israel’s top court backs barring Palestinian politician from election over article
Abu Shehadeh, a key figure in the Palestinian-majority Joint List, was disqualified from standing last month by the Central Elections Committee, a body controlled by the governing coalition.
His disqualification centred on an article he wrote in the immediate aftermath of the Hamas-led attack in southern Israel on 7 October.
The article, titled “The Al-Aqsa Flood: Preliminary Observations”, was published in Arabic by the Arab48 news outlet on 8 October 2023. It presented a preliminary analysis of the attack and its ramifications.

Mossad chief joined Netanyahu on secret UAE trip; talks focused on Iran
Mossad Director Roman Gofman travelled with Netanyahu to the UAE on Sunday, according to Israel Hayom. The paper said the delegation also included Shmuel Ben Ezra, who heads the National Security Council and serves as national security adviser, a senior official from the Shin Bet‘s VIP Protection Unit, and senior members of the prime minister‘s own team. The report does not say whether any of them sat in on the meeting with Mohammed bin Zayed.

Israel’s Central Elections Committee has voted to bar the country’s two main Arab-majority political lists from next month’s parliamentary election, potentially leaving Palestinian citizens of Israel without their principal representatives in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.
The committee also voted to disqualify Ofer Cassif, a Jewish politician from the Arab-Jewish Hadash party, and Sami Abu Shehadeh, the leader of the Palestinian nationalist Balad party.

‚Comprehensive closure‘: Israel to shut down all West Bank crossings, Wafa reports
Israeli forces have tightened restrictions around the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, closing roads and entrances to several towns and villages, Wafa news agency reported.
The development comes after Israeli authorities decided to impose a “comprehensive closure” on the occupied West Bank and close crossings into the territory until Saturday for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

The committee, which is made up of representatives from major political parties, including MKs, voted to exclude the entire Joint List, which is made up of the Balad, Hadash, and Ta’al parties, as well as the Ra’am party.
Google’s Gemini Hacked Three Companies in May, and It’s Only Admitting That Now

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Google has confirmed that a Gemini instance was able to leave its sandbox and attack other companies during a security test back in May. The company running the test was frontier AI security firm Irregular—which the Journal noted just so happens to have been involved in similar breakouts at OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta. The common thread between all of the incidents, according to the New York Times, is that AI models obtained unauthorized internet access during Irregular’s tests.
