For over a decade, Professor Johan Martens and Drs. Tom Bosserez, Jan Rongé and Christos Trompoukis have been developing a ‘solar hydrogen panel’, i.e. a solar panel that can create hydrogen from the water vapour in the air. Using sunlight, moisture taken from the air – i.e. no liquid water – is split into hydrogen on the one hand, and oxygen molecules on the other.

Fourteen Eyes agreement countries
Fourteen Eyes (or 14 Eyes) refers to the intelligence group that consists of the Five Eyes member countries plus:
– Belgium
– Denmark
– France
– Germany
– Italy
– The Netherlands
– Norway
– Spain
– Sweden
These countries participate in SIGINT sharing as third parties. The official name of the Fourteen Eyes is the SIGINT Seniors of Europe (SSEUR), which has existed in one form or another since 1982. Similar to the UKUSA Agreement, its original mission was to uncover information about the USSR.
A SIGINT Seniors Meeting is attended by the heads of the SIGINT agencies (NSA, GCHQ, BND, the French DGSE, etc.) and is where they can share intelligence and discuss related issues. While this group has many of the same members as the “Nine Eyes”, it is a different group. According to leaked documents, the Fourteen Eyes is not a formal treaty but rather an agreement made between SIGINT agencies.

A coalition of 11 nations decided during the recent NATO summit in Lithuania to start training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets in August in Denmark. A training center will also be set up in Romania for the same purpose.
NATO members Denmark and the Netherlands have been leading international efforts to train pilots as well as support staff, maintain aircraft and ultimately enable the supply of F-16s to Ukraine in its war with Russia, according to Reuters.

According to local media, a group of young people issued a call on social media in support of the demonstrations in France over the death of the teenager, identified as Nahel M., who was shot and killed by a police officer on Tuesday in Nanterre after failing to stop during a traffic check.
„European weapons are delivered to Ukraine under the condition that they are used on Ukrainian territory with the purpose of defending that territory. And we have strict controls in place to see that this is the case,“ he said.
De Croo declined to comment on possible consequences if the reports were confirmed.

The DCA aircraft committed by the nuclear capable European air forces are always the same, since they are the only ones configured to carry the B61: German and Italian Air Force Tornado IDS; Belgian, Dutch and Turkish F-16s. The American participation involves the tactical assets based in Europe: F-16s and F-15Es.
The flooding in Western Europe is a disaster of historic proportions. Satellite pictures are sometimes top-of-the-line methods to know the size of pure disasters, however after we tried it from above, all these pictures confirmed the place clouds, clouds and extra clouds. Bislang sind am MGCS nur Deutschland und Frankreich beteiligt, nun soll auch Belgien, das 2014 seine schweren Kampfpanzer abgeschafft hat, sein Interesse bekundet.
Versuche der Polizeibeamten, den abgestürzten jungen Mann wiederzubeleben, blieben erfolglos. Auch die übrigen Partygäste hätten versucht, sich vor den Beamten zu verstecken, die nach Beschwerden über Lärmbelästigung in das Hotel gerufen worden waren, hieß es.
Schon den zweiten Tag in Folge haben sich trotz strenger Corona-Auflagen Hunderte Menschen in einem Park in Brüssel versammelt. Aufgelöst wurde auch dieses Massentreffen durch die Polizei – mit Wasserwerfen und Tränengas.

Belgium, Brussels: Belgian police using water cannon, horses, riot gear and drones to disperse a gathering of young people at a park in Brussels today.
Around 2,000 people showed up towards the end of a warm and sunny day to attend „La Boum“ (the party) in the Bois de la Cambre park, local police said, even though the organizers had revealed days earlier that their invitation on social media was a hoax. Local media put the number of people at about 5,000.
Hundreds of police, many in riot gear and some on horseback, broke up a knot of would-be revelers beside a lake in the park with back-up from water cannon trucks and tear gas.

Large crowds have been gathering in Brussels parks this week to enjoy the unusually sunny, warm weather, despite coronavirus restrictions limiting outside gatherings to four people. Brussels prosecutor’s office had said police would be deployed at the festival and that anyone breaching restrictions could be prosecuted.

AstraZeneca subcontracted the plant — previously owned by Novasep — to produce the drug substance of its vaccine. Volanti would not say how many doses the plant was contracted to provide. He said the plant sends its drug substance to an Italian company to be put into vials and packaged for distribution.
AstraZeneca declined to comment on Thermo Fisher’s remarks, according to Reuters.

Novasep brings to AstraZeneca more than 20 years of expertise in viral vector production. Novasep’s investment strategy in the large-scale production of biopharmaceutical products for immunotherapy and gene therapy enables Novasep to support the alliance for the production of the vaccine active substance in Europe.
The production operations will be carried out at Novasep‘s Belgian site in Seneffe. Furthermore, the biopharmaceutical ecosystem in the region allows Novasep to rapidly mobilize the additional human resources needed to achieve this project.

Some does are also being made at BioNTech’s sites in Germany.

The company was expected to deliver around 80 million doses to the 27 EU countries by the end of March, an EU official told the agency.
However, it now expects that to be cut to 31 million doses due to „production problems“ at a vaccine factory in Belgium run by its partner Novasep.

Wie bereits angedeutet, beschränkt sich die Unterstützung von vier der acht Staaten zunächst einmal auf die Unterzeichnung der besagten Erklärung. Neben Deutschland sind das Belgien, Italien und Portugal.

France and Qatar signed an agreement allowing France to deploy and station military forces within Qatar.
The Netherlands said on November 25 that it would join Denmark and France in the European naval mission, reported the NLTimes. The Netherlands said it would deploy a navy ship to the Persian Gulf for six months but said it would play an “observing” role. Belgium, Italy, Norway, Spain and Sweden are also expected to join the European coalition, the Tehran Times reported.
