Die venezolanischen Behörden haben sechs Ausländer aus den USA und Europa wegen angeblicher Pläne zur „Destabilisierung“ des Landes festgenommen und der US-Regierung eine Beteiligung an Umsturzplänen vorgeworfen. Wie die Regierung in Caracas mitteilte, wurden drei US-Bürger, zwei Spanier und ein Tscheche festgenommen.

“A few days ago we captured some people who were talking about throwing grenades and explosives at the Argentine Embassy, where some terrorists and criminals from the opposition are taking refuge. This perfectly reversed the fact that if the Argentine Embassy, where some gentlemen and ladies from the opposition are, were attacked, it was immediately obvious that the person who would be blamed would be the Government of Venezuela,” he warned.
“The CIA is at the forefront of this operation,” Cabello said in the news conference, claiming that Spain’s National Intelligence Center was also involved. “That does not surprise us at all,” he said.
He alleged that the operation had “very clear objectives of assassinating President Nicolás Maduro” and other high-ranking Venezuelan politicians including himself and the vice president.
The State Department denied the claims. A spokesperson confirmed on Saturday a member of the US military had been arrested in Venezuela, and that the department was “aware of unconfirmed reports of two additional US citizens detained” in the country.

Fourteen Eyes agreement countries
Fourteen Eyes (or 14 Eyes) refers to the intelligence group that consists of the Five Eyes member countries plus:

– Denmark
– France
– Germany
– Italy
– The Netherlands
– Norway
– Spain
– Sweden
These countries participate in SIGINT sharing as third parties. The official name of the Fourteen Eyes is the SIGINT Seniors of Europe (SSEUR), which has existed in one form or another since 1982. Similar to the UKUSA Agreement, its original mission was to uncover information about the USSR.
A SIGINT Seniors Meeting is attended by the heads of the SIGINT agencies (NSA, GCHQ, BND, the French DGSE, etc.) and is where they can share intelligence and discuss related issues. While this group has many of the same members as the “Nine Eyes”, it is a different group. According to leaked documents, the Fourteen Eyes is not a formal treaty but rather an agreement made between SIGINT agencies.

UC Global wurde ursprünglich von der ecuadorianischen Regierung unter Correa mit der Sicherheit in der Botschaft des Andenstaates in London betraut, in der Julian Assange 2012 Zuflucht suchte. Im Schatten ihres eigentlichen Auftrags belauschte die Firma damals mehrere Gespräche zwischen Assange und seinen Anwälten und Besuchern, kopierten die Daten ihrer elektronischen Geräte und gaben die erlangten Informationen an den US-Auslandsgeheimdienst CIA weiter. Im August 2022 verklagten deshalb Anwältinnen von Assange und zwei Journalisten den CIA, dessen Ex-Chef Mike Pompeo und UC Global.
Sánchez’s Socialists and his preferred partners, Yolanda Díaz’s left-wing Sumar coalition, control 153 seats in parliament. Although the left-wing allies are unlikely to secure the backing of the 176 MPs needed for Sánchez to be confirmed as prime minister the first time the new parliament votes on the matter, they could make a bid during the second round of voting, in which the candidate to head the new government must receive more yeas than nays.

In another part of the article published by the Spanish newspaper it is stated that Morales allegedly spied on Correa’s two daughters through computer viruses installed on his phones in 2014 when he was still in government. The two iPhone 5s delivered by UC Global to Sofia and Anne had “Trojan horses” from the Tradesegur company installed. These Trojans allowed full control over their messages and conversations while the girls studied in France without their parents knowing.
David Morales, owner of the Spanish security company UC Global, S.L., which spied on Julian Assange during the Wikileaks founder’s time at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, also allegedly spied for the CIA on meetings held in 2018 by the former president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa (2007-2017), with former presidents of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay – Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Dilma Rousseff and José Mujica – according to a new examination of his MacBook laptop ordered by Spanish Judge Santiago Pedraz, who has been investigating Morales for three years.
It will be the first time Spain sends troops to Slovakia, while the number of troops in Romania will be increased, although the exact figure has not been specified.

Die Banken weigern sich schlicht Geld in den Wirtschaftskreislauf auszugeben und stapeln ihre erfundenen Taler einfach wieder auf den Berg in der Zentralbank, während hier alle in der Währungszone nach Liquidität jabsen und am Besten gleich den ganzen Staat verkaufen sollen.

The hearing, organised by PACE’s Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, will focus on the role played by spyware in secret state surveillance, as part of a report on this topic being prepared for the Assembly by Dutch MP Pieter Omtzigt.

* Thanasis Koukakis, an investigative journalist from Greece specialising in financial affairs, who has reported on corruption and money laundering (via teleconference).
Politicians and journalists from Poland, Spain and Greece who have been targeted by the Pegasus or similar spyware are to give testimony at a public hearing of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Paris on 12 December 2022, to be live-streamed in English.
The hearing, organised by PACE’s Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, will focus on the role played by spyware in secret state surveillance, as part of a report on this topic being prepared for the Assembly by Pieter Omtzigt (Netherlands, EPP/CD).

While different governments have taken very different approaches to the rising cost of living, it seems that none of these approaches have quite had the desired impact yet – a majority of adults polled across all seven countries say that they have already had to make cuts to their usual spending as a result of the rising cost of living. I
In this carousel of Italian politics, the Left has remained out of the picture for too long. It has not been in parliament since 2008, with the exception of small lists in alliance with the Partito Democratico or MPs who quit other parties. It has thus been fourteen years since an independent left has had its own parliamentary representation in Italy. It is an even greater tragedy if we remember that Italy once had the largest Communist Party in Western Europe and a Left whose presence extended from social movements and trade unions to the world of culture.
This time, however, something has moved. With the launch of Unione Popolare, the Italian left is trying to reorganize itself to return to the political scene.

Die spanische Gesellschaft kann diese dann für unbestimmte Zeit nicht einsehen. Die bestehende Reglung wurde im Jahr 1968 vom Diktator Francisco Franco eingeführt.
On 10 March 2022, the European Parliament decided to set up the PEGA Committee to investigate alleged infringement or maladministration in application of EU law in relation to the use of Pegasus and equivalent spyware surveillance software. In particular, the PEGA Committee is asked to gather information on the extent to which Member States or third countries are using intrusive surveillance to the extent that it violates the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU.
During its twelve-month mandate our Committee, with its 38 Members and 38 substitute Members, will make use of various methods to investigate the alleged violations: it will hold hearings with experts, victims and other persons, request studies and briefings and undertake fact-finding missions when needed. The investigations shall be concluded with the submission of a final report.

Weitere Brisanz erhält die Enthüllung auch dadurch, dass Dimitriadis und Mitsotakis verwandt sind: Der Generalsekretär ist der Neffe des Ministerpräsidenten, dem wiederum der Geheimdienst als Nutzer von Predator direkt untersteht.
Hersteller von Predator ist die von israelischen und ungarischen Staatsangehörigen als Aktiengesellschaft in Nordmazedonien gegründete Firma Cytrox. Sie soll in beiden Ländern Büros zur Herstellung der Cyberwaffen unterhalten. Cytrox gehört inzwischen zu einer Gesellschaft in Ungarn, als Eigentümer gilt der 70-jährige Luftwaffenveteran Meir Shamir aus Israel.
Joe Biden, speaking at a NATO summit in Madrid today, announced the creation of a new base for the US Fifth Army Corps in Poland – the first permanent American base in the country – along with 3,000 extra soldiers to be sent to Romania and ‚enhanced‘ troop rotations for the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Two more squadrons of F-35 fighters will be deployed to the UK, Biden added, along with additional air defence systems for Germany and Italy, and another two destroyers which will be stationed at Rota Naval Station in Spain, bringing the total to six.

Bolaños machte keine Angaben dazu, ob die spanischen Behörden über Hinweise auf den Ursprung der Abhöraktion verfügen oder ob sie aus dem Ausland erfolgte.
Es sei aber absolut sicher, dass es sich um eine Attacke von außen handele, weil weil in Spanien alle Eingriffe von offiziellen Einrichtungen und mit juristischer Genehmigung erfolgen“, fügte der Minister hinzu.
Israel‘s NSO Group, the cyber offensive firm which developed Pegasus, said it was unfamiliar with the details of the specific case and, as a software provider, cannot know who the targets of its customers are.
Spain’s government is under pressure to explain why the cellphones of dozens of people connected to the separatist movement in the northeastern Catalonia region were infected with Pegasus between 2017 and 2020, according to cybersecurity experts’ group Citizen Lab.

In dieser Position soll sie Mittelsmann für die Weiterleitung der Informationen zwischen UC Global und der CIA gewesen sein. Zudem verlangt das Gericht die Identität der Besitzer von IP-Adressen zu erfahren, die von den USA aus auf den Server im UC Global Hauptquartier in Spanien zugegriffen haben. Zum derzeitigen Zustand Assanges erklärte Martínez, der den Inhaftierten vor dem Interview am 27. März in Belmarsh besucht hatte: »Er ist geistig und körperlich sehr schwach. Um es deutlich zu sagen, er ist am Ende.«

Armas: Liberum ist als Antwort auf die Gesundheitsdiktatur entstanden, wie wir die aktuelle Situation interpretieren. In Asturien, dem Land der „Reconquista“, bildete sich eine Vereinigung von Menschen der Zivilgesellschaft, der einfachen Leute, die mit der aktuellen Situation nicht einverstanden sind. Und diese Bewegung wurde in demselben Teil Spaniens erneut geboren, in dem damals die Befreiung der Spanier von der arabischen Herrschaft begann. Liberum ist ein sehr junges Kollektiv, das erst im März 2021 gegründet wurde und jetzt ein Jahr alt ist. Der Sinn und Zweck der Initiative ist die Verteidigung der Grundrechte im Zusammenhang mit der Covid-19-Gesundheitskrise. Wir sind rund 9.000 Mitglieder, mit einem Team von etwa 60 Juristen.
