Avec ses partenaires de lâAlliance de Gauche europĂ©enne et en lien avec les associations, ONG, syndicats mobilisĂ©s contre le gĂ©nocide en Palestine, la France insoumise lance une Initiative Citoyenne EuropĂ©enne (ICE) pour obliger la Commission europĂ©enne Ă enfin agir.
Pour aboutir, elle doit recueillir au moins 1 million de signatures dans au moins 7 pays de lâUE. RĂ©cemment, des initiatives initiatives europĂ©ennes pour garantir le droit Ă lâavortement partout en Europe et pour interdire les thĂ©rapies de conversion contre les personnes LGBTI ont rĂ©coltĂ© suffisamment de signatures pour contraindre la Commission europĂ©enne Ă se saisir du sujet. Nous pouvons faire de mĂȘme pour la Palestine !

»Meine Damen und Herren, Genossinnen und Genossen â hier ist Ihr Kandidat fĂŒr die PrĂ€sidentschaftswahl 2027: Jean-Luc MĂ©lenchon!,« schallte es ĂŒber die StraĂen von Saint-Denis. Anfang des Monats trafen Zehntausende in der Stadt nordöstlich von Paris zusammen. Trotz der brennenden Sonne waren sie gekommen, um den Linken MĂ©lenchon beim Start seines Wahlkampfs fĂŒr die PrĂ€sidentschaftswahl 2027 zu erleben.
Es war eine eindrucksvolle Demonstration der Wahlkampfmaschinerie, die MĂ©lenchon seit seiner ersten Kandidatur 2012 aufgebaut hat. Damals hatte er die Parti Socialiste (PS) verlassen, um links von ihr seinen eigenen Weg zu gehen.

On Thursday, expressions of support came almost entirely from LFI and the far-left. For the anti-capitalist NPA, Olivier Besancenot expressed his âsolidarity with Rima Hassanâ on X, as did Nathalie Arthaud, the spokesperson for the Trotskyist Lutte ouvriĂšre (LO).
Two former LFI members, Alexis CorbiĂšre and ClĂ©mentine Autain, also spoke out. âA member of the European Parliament placed in police custody for a retweet? Freedom of expression applied selectively is not the Republic,â said the latter. âThe disproportionate repression of expressions of support for Palestine is clear, it must stop,â wrote the former.
On Friday, a handful of elected representatives from other parties began to join the chorus of criticism, including the communist MP Elsa Faucillon, who deplored a ârelentless campaign revealing the mobilisation of the state apparatus against any solidarity with Palestineâ and the Green MP Benjamin Lucas, who denounced âdouble standardsâ. Another Green MP, Sandrine Rousseau, expressed her âsupportâ for Rima Hassan.
More surprisingly, the socialist MEP ChloĂ© Ridel, a close ally of the Socialist Party leader Olivier Faure, also commented: âEverything about the police custody imposed on the European Member of Parliament Rima Hassan is disproportionate and violates her parliamentary immunity, whatever our disagreements. Was Louis Sarkozy [editor‘s note, son of former president Nicolas Sarkozy and a political commentator] placed in custody when he said about Palestinians âlet them all dieâ?â

In this carousel of Italian politics, the Left has remained out of the picture for too long. It has not been in parliament since 2008, with the exception of small lists in alliance with the Partito Democratico or MPs who quit other parties. It has thus been fourteen years since an independent left has had its own parliamentary representation in Italy. It is an even greater tragedy if we remember that Italy once had the largest Communist Party in Western Europe and a Left whose presence extended from social movements and trade unions to the world of culture.
This time, however, something has moved. With the launch of Unione Popolare, the Italian left is trying to reorganize itself to return to the political scene.

Dass es ĂŒberhaupt so weit kommen könnte, ist dem links-auĂen Politiker Jean-Luc MĂ©lenchon geschuldet. Mit dem links-grĂŒnen WahlbĂŒndnis Nupes aus seiner Partei La France Insoumise, den GrĂŒnen, Sozialisten und Kommunisten hat er ein Gegengewicht zu Macrons Mitte geschaffen und einen extrem linken Gegenentwurf zur sozialliberalen Politik des PrĂ€sidenten prĂ€sentiert.

Das neue linke BĂŒndnis aus Linkspartei, Sozialisten, GrĂŒnen und Kommunisten, angefĂŒhrt von Linkspolitiker Jean-Luc Melenchon, kann auf deutlich mehr Sitze im Parlament hoffen. Câest une violation inacceptable des principes du droit international dont Vladimir Poutine porte la responsabilitĂ© et qui fait peser le risque dâune guerre gĂ©nĂ©ralisĂ©e sur le continent.

Laut dem vorlĂ€ufigen amtlichen Ergebnis kam Macrons Mitte-BĂŒndnis landesweit auf 25,75 Prozent der Stimmen. Dies teilte das Innenministerium in Paris in der Nacht zu Montag mit.
Die vom Linkspolitiker Jean-Luc MĂ©lenchon angefĂŒhrte Allianz aus Linken, Kommunisten, GrĂŒnen und Sozialisten kam demnach auf 25,66 Prozent und hatte damit hauchdĂŒnn das Nachsehen. Der Unterschied betrug gerade einmal 21.442 Stimmen – bei rund 48,7 Millionen Wahlberechtigten.
