The president who dramatically expanded the CIA secret drone war, ordered a troop surge in Afghanistan and aggressively prosecuted leakers made a forceful defense of his actions and an even more forceful case for winding down the war on terrorism.
The key line: „This war, like all wars, must end. That‘s what history advises. That‘s what our democracy demands.“
Can’t wait til things calm down in the middle east so I can stop getting accused of being an antisemite and go back to the old wholesome accusations of being a Russian agent.
Every species eventually hits an adaptation-or-extinction juncture at some point, where it must adapt to changing conditions on this planet or vanish into the fossil records. Humanity is arriving at such a juncture today. We’ll either awaken the potential which rests dormant within all of us to become a truly conscious species, or we will go the way of the dinosaur. We have the freedom to go either direction.

Suddenly ,from out of the Synthetic Music Box a Voice began to speak. The Voice of Reason, the Voice of Good Feeling. The sound-track roll was un winding itself in Synthetic Anti-Riot Speech Number Two (Medium Strength). Straight from the depths of a non-existent heart, „My friends, my friends!“ said the Voice so pathetically, with a note of such infinitely tender reproach that, behind their gas masks, even the policemen‘s eyes were momentarily dimmed with tears, „what is the meaning of this? Why aren‘t you all being happy and good together? Happy and good,“ the Voice repeated. „At peace, at peace.“ It trembled, sank into a whisper and momentarily expired. „Oh, I do want you to be happy,“ it began, with a yearning earnestness. „I do so want you to be good! Please, please be good and …“
Two minutes later the Voice and the soma vapour had produced their effect. In tears, the Deltas were kissing and hugging one another–half a dozen twins at a time in a comprehensive embrace. Even Helmholtz and the Savage were almost crying. A fresh supply of pill-boxes was brought in from the Bursary; a new distribution was hastily made and, to the sound of the Voice‘s richly affectionate, baritone valedictions, the twins dispersed, blubbering as though their hearts would break….

The vote of 91 to 22 was taken to uphold a ruling by the Assembly‘s President, Foreign Minister Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria, suspending South African participation.
The United States unsuccessfully challenged the ruling, Which was also opposed by Britain, a number of Western Europeans and South Americans, and some others. Nineteen countries abstained.
In der Vergangenheit war der Heldenplatz am 8. Mai stets in der Hand der schlagenden Burschenschaften, die mit Fackeln des Endes des Zweiten Weltkriegs gedachten. Die Aufmärsche wurden meistens von heftigen Protesten begleitet, die Polizei war im Großeinsatz. Mit Rückendeckung der Regierung und der Stadt Wien wurde vor elf Jahren der Spieß umgedreht. Auch heute findet zum 8. Mai in Wien wieder ein „Fest der Freude“ statt.
On May 8, 1945, World War II in Europe came to an end. As the news of Germany’s surrender reached the rest of the world, joyous crowds gathered to celebrate in the streets, clutching newspapers that declared Victory in Europe (V-E Day). Later that year, US President Harry S. Truman announced Japan’s surrender and the end of World War II. The news spread quickly and celebrations erupted across the United States. On September 2, 1945, formal surrender documents were signed aboard the USS Missouri, designating the day as the official Victory over Japan Day (V-J Day).

Das Kapital eroberte sich Schritt für Schritt seine Macht zurück. Die Landreform wurde zurückgenommen. Bei der Rückgabe von Ländereien kam es zu bitteren Szenen und Prügeleien. Kleinbauern verloren die Früchte ihrer Arbeit und das gerade bestellte eigene Land. Den verbleibenden Kooperativen – Versammlungsstätten und kulturelle Wohnzimmer der Dörfer, in denen sich die Bewohner gegenseitig versorgen und ihre Produkte lokal anbieten konnten – wurden die steuerlichen Vergünstigungen und damit die Arbeitsgrundlage genommen. Damit ging ein Herzstück der Revolution verloren.
Der Westen hatte gesiegt. Dem portugiesischen Volk wurde der Beitritt zur EU 1986 als Weg zu Sicherheit und Wohlstand verkauft.
Dann gibt es die Gruppe der verführten und gekauften «Claqueure» als scheinbar begeisterte Mitläufer, deren Käuflichkeit durch machtpolitische Posten und berufliche Karriere gesichert wurde. Deren Charakter entspricht den «Wendehälsen», die sich jeder Macht andienen, um sich Vorteile trotz oder wegen eigener Selbstwertschwäche zu organisieren. Dazu zählen auch Spitzel und Denunzianten. Man kennt diese Typen, die in der Lage sind, von einem Tag zum anderen vom «Nazi» oder «SED-Bonzen» zum «Demokraten» zu mutieren.
Der Denunziant bleibt auch immer der gleiche seelisch Anerkennungsbedürftige, Verstörte und sozial Vergiftete; nur die Inhalte des ehrlosen Verrates wechseln je nach den Herrschaftsinteressen der Verführer. (…)
Ich schätze nach meiner damaligen Erfahrung und den späteren Erkenntnissen etwa 3 Prozent «Besessene» an der Macht, 5 Prozent «Fanatiker», 30 Prozent «Claqueure», 60 Prozent genötigte «Mitläufer» und 2 Prozent Verweigerer.

On Oct. 25, 1971, the United Nations General Assembly voted to admit the People’s Republic of China (mainland China) and to expel the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Communist P.R.C. therefore assumed the R.O.C.’s place in the General Assembly as well as its place as one of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. (…)
The United States, the most significant opponent of the resolution, then argued for the P.R.C. to be admitted separately from the R.O.C., which would have allowed the R.O.C. to retain its spot. The proposal was defeated.

Am 19.März, dem Tag des Angriffs von Frankreich, Großbritannien, Kanada, Italien und den USA auf Libyen, wurde in Moskau eine der erbärmlichsten Erklärungen in der russischen Geschichte veröffentlicht (Angriffskrieg gegen Libyen beginnt: Ticker). Das russische Außenministerium von Sergei Lawrow:
“In Moskau bedauern wir diese bewaffnete Intervention im Rahmen der UN Resolution 1973, die hastig beschlossen wurde.”
Die Weltöffentlichkeit konstatiert: Russlands Staatsführung ist ein Haufen Tölpel, dem – wenn er schon nicht lesen kann und deshalb nicht weiss was vor sich geht – selbst das Wort „Veto“ mit einem einfachen Armhochhalten schon zu viel ist. Das Gleiche gilt für die Atomschwachmacht China, deren leseunkundige kommunistische Staatspartei immerhin 1.3 Milliarden Menschen herumkommandiert. In der Parteizeitung „People´s Daily“ redete man sich heute nun selbst in ein Gewissen, was man nicht hat (1):
„Die blutgetränkten Gewitter, denen Irak seit acht Jahren unterzogen wurde und das unaussprechliche Leiden seines Volkes sind ein Spiegel und eine Warnung. Die militärischen Attacken auf Libyen, folgend den Kriegen in Afghanisten und Irak, sind das das dritte Mal, dass einige Länder bewaffnete Aktionen gegen souveräne Staaten gestartet haben. Es sollte augenscheinlich sein, dass jedes Mal, wenn militärische Mittel benutzt werden um Krisen zu begegnen, dies ein Schlag gegen die Charta der Vereinten Nationen und die Regeln der internationalen Beziehungen sind.“
Die Weltöffentlichkeit versteht: früher hiess es in China „Bombardiert das Hauptquartier“, letzten Freitag hiess es „Bombardiert Libyen“ und heute wieder anders herum. Mal sehen, zu was sich Chinas Staatsführung am Donnerstag entscheidet. Vielleicht der Einfachheit halber zu „Bombardiert irgendwas“.

The imprudence of this acceptance was demonstrated by the Nicaraguan case, in which the Court ruled that the United States is using force illegally in Central America. That case should not – and need not – have gone to the Court. To make sure the United States retains sovereign discretion to defend itself and its allies, any new American acceptance of the Court‘s compulsory jurisdiction should emulate the good sense of others like India and Kenya by excluding disputes involving armed conflict. America -acting alone or with its allies – still needs the freedom to protect freedom. The finger on the trigger cannot be that of the global judiciary.

An exiled Iranian arms dealer named Manucher Ghorbanifar claimed to have contacts with a moderate faction inside Iran, and further alleged that weapons sales would improve that faction’s standing. Ghorbanifar collaborated with Israel, which proved to be an important intermediary. While Israel was no ally of Iran, it was also no ally of Iraq, and the ongoing war between the two countries kept them both distracted. Israel began selling U.S.-made weapons to Iran in 1981, even after the U.S. State Department began an effort to end arm sales, known as Operation Staunch, in 1983.
The Republic of Nicaragua v. The United States of America (1986)[2] was a case where the International Court of Justice (ICJ) held that the U.S. had violated international law by supporting the Contras in their rebellion against the Sandinistas and by mining Nicaragua‘s harbors. The case was decided in favor of Nicaragua and against the United States with the awarding of reparations to Nicaragua.

The protest at U.S. exemption of individuals from criminal jurisdiction has been widely reported. The continued refusal of the United States to subject its own actions, especially the use of force against others, to judgment by the ICJ has been treated as a non-event.
The president who turned America‘s back on judgment under international law was Ronald Reagan. His action resulted from fear (especially after prominent condemnation by Senators Barry Goldwater and Daniel Patrick Moynihan) of an adverse Court ruling in Nicaragua‘s case against the U.S.
Royal watchers have begun to witness his decline, too. Though he will be stepping out on Easter Sunday for a service at Windsor, the king is missing from the royal calendar for the foreseeable future, instead relying heavily on his sister, Princess Anne, to do the work of the royal family. While many would have assumed his heir, Prince William, would be stepping up to the plate, he too is missing from the royal schedule due to Princess Kate Middleton’s own cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Die Sowjetunion ist ein Beispiel dafür, daß eine Idee nichts damit zu tun haben muss, was aus ihr gemacht wird. Die “Europäische Union” ist ein weiteres.
Die Sowjetunion zerfiel 1991. 1992 wurde die “Europäische Union” geschaffen, bewusst als “Auffangbecken” gerade auch der osteuropäischen Staaten und jungen Demokratien, die kurz zuvor noch im Schatten des sowjetischen Imperiums unter Diktaturen standen. Die oben beschriebenen Entwicklungen und Zustände in unserer Republik sind nahezu deckungsgleich mit denen in allen anderen Staaten, die fortan dieser “Union” auf europäischem Boden beitraten, die zeitgleich mit ihrer Gründung die 1957 gegründete westeuropäische “Europäische Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft” in “Europäische Gemeinschaft” umbenannte und schließlich Ende 2009 mit ihrem gegen den Willen der Völker Europas durchgepeitschtem Lissabon-Vertrag still und leise ganz verschwinden ließ.
Das Konzept eines Bundes der Freien Völker in Europa wurde ersetzt durch einen Käfig. In diesem sollte, für alle Zeiten, auch die souveräne parlamentarische Demokratie auf deutschem Boden sitzen. Das ist das Geheimnis der “Europäischen Union”. Und das ist Geheimnis aller Kader der z.Z. im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien, die der Öffentlichkeit Unterschiedlichkeit und die freie Wahl vorheucheln, aber an dem Dogma der von Anfang an programmierten neuen kapitalistischen Sowjetunion zu keinem Zeitpunkt gewagt haben zu rütteln, sondern im Gegenteil deren Programme stets gehorsam implementierten.

Higgins‘s article is worth reading in full. He goes on to outline the type of assistance the Israelis initially gave Yassin, whom the PLO at one time deemed a „collaborator,“ and Gaza‘s other Islamists:
Israel‘s military-led administration in Gaza looked favorably on the paraplegic cleric, who set up a wide network of schools, clinics, a library and kindergartens. Sheikh Yassin formed the Islamist group Mujama al-Islamiya, which was officially recognized by Israel as a charity and then, in 1979, as an association. Israel also endorsed the establishment of the Islamic University of Gaza, which it now regards as a hotbed of militancy. The university was one of the first targets hit by Israeli warplanes in the [2008-9 Operation Cast Lead].
Yassin‘s Mujama would become Hamas, which, it can be argued, was Israel‘s Taliban: an Islamist group whose antecedents had been laid down by the West in a battle against a leftist enemy. Israel jailed Yassin in 1984 on a 12-year sentence after the discovery of hidden arms caches, but he was released a year later. The Israelis must have been more worried about other enemies.
This article examines the international context of and empirical evidence for the genocide of Cambodia’s domestic ethnic Vietnamese minority in the years 1977 and 1978. It sets out the basis for the scholarly consensus that the state of Democratic Kampuchea (DK), ruled by the Communist Party of Kampuchea (CPK, or “Khmer Rouge”), launched a war against neighboring Vietnam beginning in early 1977 with a series of cross-border attacks. The article then examines the evidence for the simultaneous CPK campaign of near-total mass murder of the approximately 20,000 members of the domestic ethnic Vietnamese community remaining in the country after the killings and forcible expulsions under both the previous regime and the CPK from 1970 to 1976. The article then surveys the CPK’s ethnic policies towards the country’s Vietnamese, Cham, and Chinese minorities, and demonstrates how racist policies often merely masqueraded as class analysis. It concludes with a description of the international legal concepts of both genocide and the crime against humanity of extermination, showing how each applies to crimes the DK regime perpetrated against Cambodia’s ethnic Vietnamese minority.

1965 begannen die U.S.A. während des Krieges gegen Nordvietnam ein ebenso mörderisches, wie geheimes Bombardement gegen das neutrale Kambodscha, was bis 1954 Kolonie Frankreichs gewesen war. 2,7 Millionen Tonnen Bomben zwischen 1965 bis 1973 beförderten Kambodscha “zurück in die Steinzeit” und töteten 200.000 Menschen. Den U.S.-Bomberpiloten wurde vom Pentagon sogar verboten, die eigenen Vorgesetzten zu informieren. Die angeblichen Militärstützpunkte Nordvietnams in Kambodscha, wegen denen die Bombardements vermeintlich durchgeführt wurden, existierten nicht.
Was die Tat von Wahnsinnigen war, wurde nachher als “Wahnsinnigen-Theorie” (“Madman-Theory”) verkauft: die U.S.-Regierung unter Präsident Richard Nixon und Außenminister Henry Kissinger (der später den Friedensnobelpreis bekam) behauptete, sie habe sich wahnsinnig benommen, um der Sowjetunion Angst vor einem Atomkrieg zu machen, damit diese Druck auf Nordvietnam ausübe, damit das den Krieg gegen die U.S.A. beende, den die U.S.A. selbst begonnen hatten.
1970 stürzten die U.S.A. die Monarchie unter “Prinz” Sihanouk, installierten ein Proxy-Regime und marschierten in Kambodscha ein. Sihanouk, einst 1941 im Alter von achtzehn Jahren vom französischen Vichy-Regime unter deutscher Besatzung zum neuen König der damaligen französischen Kolonie Kambodscha ernannt, floh ins China Mao Tse Tungs und formierte dort eine kambodschanische “Freiheitsbewegung”. Deren Teil: die Roten Khmer.
1972 besuchte Richard Nixon als erster U.S.-Präsident China und Mao Tse Tung, im Versuch gegen das mit der Sowjetunion verbündete Nordvietnam einen Verbündeten zu finden und die Rivalitäten sowohl zwischen China und Vietnam, als auch zwischen China und der Sowjetunion zu schüren.
Als 1975 in Vietnam die Truppen des Vietkong und Nordvietnams in Saigon einmarschierten und den Krieg gegen die U.S.A. gewannen, marschierten in Kambodscha die Truppen der Roten Khmer – von China unterstützt und traditionell verfeindet mit den vietnamesischen Kommunisten – plötzlich in der Haupstadt Phnom Penh ein. Und setzten Prinz Sihanouk als offizielles Staatsoberhaupt ein.
Von der Schreckensherrschaft Pol Pots, auf dessen Killing Fields Millionen Leichen lagen und dessen Verbündeter Prinz Sihanouk nach wie vor im Land lebte, befreite Kambodscha 1979 nicht etwa die “negative Freiheit” der U.S.A., von Frankreich, oder der U.N.O., sondern die einrückenden Truppen des kommunistischen Vietnams.
Die Mörder der Roten Khmer, die gerade einen Genozid begangen hatten, flohen in Dschungel und begannen dort einen neuen Guerillakrieg – mit Unterstützung der U.S.A. und anderer ehrenwerter westlicher Länder. 1982 formierten die Massenmörder unter Führung Sihanouks eine Exilregierung, die von den U.S.A., der U.N.O und unwichtigen Ländereien Westeuropas anerkannt wurde.
Vizepräsident dieser kambodschanischen Exilregierung: das “Staatsoberhaupt” des Pol Pot Regimes von 1976-1979, Khieu Samphan. Er lebt heute noch. Er sagt, er hätte nichts gewusst.
Pol Pot wurde nie verfolgt. Dafür sorgten die U.S.A..
Neues altes Staatsoberhaupt Kambodschas wurde 1991 Sihanouk, nach dem Abzug der vietnamesischen Truppen. Er starb erst vor wenigen Tagen, am 15. Oktober 2012, in Peking.

Can you tell us, you were — can you tell us how this was perceived? In particular, how the declaration of March 1970 was perceived through which Prince Sihanouk asked the Cambodian people to rise up? I‘d like to understand how the CPK, Communist Party of Kampuchea, experienced this period and was there a real union? What happened, in fact?

A. Judge Lavergne, I would like to respond to your question based on my political view. Samdech Norodom Sihanouk was the Head of State of Cambodia. His position was the populist to preserve his throne. It was not Norodom Sihanouk. Lon Nol was

affiliated with the United States, and when he grasped or controlled the Assembly in 1966, he managed to — he really caused the dispute and the uprising in Samlaut at the Sihanoukist side, and the other side is the Communist side which are affiliated with Marxist and Leninist, and these things were mixed up.
I think through my understanding, if Richard Nixon did not be quick to allow Lon Nol to start the coup d‘etat and allowing Khmer Rouge to cooperate with Sihanouk, I think Khmer Rouge would be demolished or otherwise they would never be able to stand up again. But Mr. Kissinger and Richard Nixon weren‘t quick and the Khmer Rouge noted the golden opportunity and King Sihanouk declare from China that all Cambodian people go through the Marxist jungle and then the Khmer Rouge troop will build up from 1970 to 1975.
I think this is the political context and people tried to gain — to have political gain. Lon Nol tried to benefit from politics and then Sihanouk also tried to gain benefit for his side.

Duch, the first of five Pol Pot cadres to face trial for the 1975-79 reign of terror in which 1.7 million Cambodians died, said the Khmer Rouge would have faded if the U.S. had not got involved in Cambodia.
„Mr Richard Nixon and Kissinger allowed the Khmer Rouge to grasp golden opportunities,“ the 66-year-old former jailer said at the start of the second week of his trial by the joint U.N.-Cambodian tribunal.

To Kissinger, Cambodia was a “sideshow,” to use the title of William Shawcross’ damning book exposing the story of America’s secret war with Cambodia from 1969 to 1973.
During that period, the U.S. bombing of neutral Cambodia saw an estimated 500,000 tons of ordnance dropped on 113,716 targets in the country.
Kissinger and others in the White House tried to keep the campaign from the public for as long as they could, for good reason. It came as public opinion in the U.S. was turning against American involvement. The bombing campaign is also considered illegal under international law by many experts.
But to Kissinger, the ends – containing communism – seemingly justified the means, no matter the cost. And the cost to Cambodians was huge.
It resulted in the direct deaths of hundreds of thousands of Cambodians. With the U.S. government keeping the bombings secret at the time, comprehensive data and documentation are limited. But estimates on the number of deaths range from as few as 24,000 to as many as a million.

Aus Brüssel heraus vollzieht sich die epochale Transformation von Staatsgebilden eines Kontinents zu einer sich selbst begründenden Plutokratie, in einer wunderbaren Welt der Supranationalisten. Das Konstrukt “Europäische Union” ist folgendermaßen aufgebaut: an der Spitze eines pyramidal aufgebauten Apparates stehen Entscheidungsgremien, sogenannte “Räte”. Diese Räte haben, entgegen allen fundamentalen Prinzipien der Gewaltenteilung und Demokratie, sowohl legislative, als auch exekutive Befugnis. Des Weiteren sind diese Gremien nie gewählt worden. Selbst ihre einzelnen Teilnehmer sind nur teilweise direkt vom Volk gewählt, zumeist wurden sie (wie z.B. die deutsche Kanzlerin) indirekt gewählt, durch ein Parlament. Ein nicht unerheblicher Teil der Mitglieder in den EU-Räten jedoch ist nie gewählt, sondern lediglich ernannt worden.
Nach wie vor ist der exakte Aufbau dieses Apparates den wenigsten Bürgern in den Mitgliedsstaaten der “Europäischen Union” geläufig.

The United States unsuccessfully challenged the ruling, Which was also opposed by Britain, a number of Western Europeans and South Americans, and some others. Nineteen countries abstained.

On Oct. 25, 1971, the United Nations General Assembly voted to admit the People’s Republic of China (mainland China) and to expel the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Communist P.R.C. therefore assumed the R.O.C.’s place in the General Assembly as well as its place as one of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. (…)
The United States, the most significant opponent of the resolution, then argued for the P.R.C. to be admitted separately from the R.O.C., which would have allowed the R.O.C. to retain its spot. The proposal was defeated.

Erst die zufällige Entdeckung von zwei Tonnen Aktenmaterial aus der Stroessner-Diktatur hat eine erste Rekonstruktion der kriminellen Machenschaften dieses internationalen Netzwerks ermöglicht. Ende Dezember 1992 wurden sie in einer Polizeistation von Lambaré gefunden, einem Vorort der paraguayischen Hauptstadt Asunción. Auf Grund der Freigabe bis dahin als geheim eingestufter CIA-Dokumente über Chile am 13. November 2000 konnte der Inhalt dieser „Akten des Terrors“ überprüft und präzisiert werden.
Seit der panamerikanischen Konferenz von Chapultepec, die im Februar 1945 in Mexiko stattfand, schwören die USA die südamerikanischen Militärs auf den Kampf gegen den Kommunismus ein. In Chapultepec war beschlossen worden, dass das 1942 geschaffene Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) seine Tätigkeiten weiterführen sollte.
DAS aus Offizieren der Unterzeichnerstaaten zusammengesetzte Gremium sollte nach Möglichkeiten suchen, die im Krieg begonnene militärische Zusammenarbeit weiterzuentwickeln. In seinem Rahmen wurden im Jahr 1951 bilaterale Militärhilfeabkommen unterzeichnet: ….

Vor 50 Jahren filmte Abraham Zapruder die Ermordung des Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika. Bizarrerweise haben in Deutschland die Meisten diese Aufnahmen bis heute nie gesehen. So ging es den U.S.-Amerikanern noch bis 1975, elfeinhalb Jahre nach dem Attentat.
Zapruder, heute bei Wikipedia der arme Mann mit dem Albtraum, hatte nach dem Attentat sofort erkannt, was sein Film wert war. Noch am Abend der Ermordung John F. Kennedys, am 22. November 1963, saß er in einem Interview beim TV-Sender WFAA, nahm sich einen Anwalt und ließ alle interessierten Journalisten seinen Film in einer geschlossenen Vorführung ein einziges Mal ansehen, um ihn meistbietend zu verkaufen. Sofort nach der Filmvorführung trat der Journalist Dan Rather, nach eigener Aussage noch vor allen anderen, vor die Kamera und erklärte, der Zapruder-Film habe gezeigt, wie der Kopf des Präsidenten durch einen von hinten erfolgten Schuss „violently“ (heftig) nach vorne geschleudert worden sei (die Aussage Rathers ist zwischen viel Werbung noch in Teil 5 der Doku „50 Jahre Kennedy-Attentat – Geheimnisse einer amerikanischen Dynastie“ in der VOX Mediathek zusehen).
Danach kaufte das Time Life Magazin von Abraham Zapruder alle Rechte an dessen Film und ließ diesen im Archiv verschwinden. Seit dem Mord an John F. Kennedy waren gerade einmal zwei Tage vergangen.
Bis 1969 wurde die Filmaufnahmen von der Ermordung des U.S.-Präsidenten unter Verschluss gehalten. Dann erzwang der Staatswalt Jim Garrison im Rahmen eines Gerichtsverfahrens vom Time Life Magazine die Herausgabe des Zapruder-Films und war so in der Lage, die Aufnahmen von Kennedy-Attentat wenigstens den Geschworenen zu zeigen. Der Öffentlichkeit wurden die Aufnahmen erst am 6. März 1975 zugänglich gemacht, durch Ausstrahlung im TV Sender ABC (Kino oder Fernsehsender waren damals die einzige Möglichkeit Filmaufnahmen effektiv zu verbreiten).

After the 1967 Six-Day War, Palestinian fedayeen guerrillas relocated to Jordan and stepped up their attacks on Israel and the occupied territories. They were headquartered at the Jordanian border town of Karameh, which Israel targeted during a battle in 1968, leading to a surge of Arab support for the fedayeen. The PLO‘s strength grew, and by early 1970, groups within the PLO began calling for the overthrow of Jordan‘s Hashemite monarchy, leading to violent clashes in June 1970.
