Regional stakeholders, including the United States, Iran, and neighboring countries, are directly affected by these developments.
US-Iran ceasefire clouded by confusion: Analyst
âNot only is it contentious in itself, what remains even more contentious is the fact that no one seems to agree about what everyone agreed about, or didnât agree about,â Pinfold told Al Jazeera.
âWe donât know what Iran agreed to, we donât know what both sides think they agreed to,â he added, noting the further complication that various parties which were either attacked or involved in the fighting were not represented.
Lack of unified document complicates US-Iran negotiations
Iran says they have 10 points. The US says it has 15 points. The problem here is a dilemma that there is no single document that anyone can refer to for what both sides are going to discuss.
Dozens of FBI records apparently missing from Epstein files, including Trump accuser interviews
Several Epstein victims have said that theyâve scoured the DOJâs website in recent weeks for files documenting their own interviews with the FBI â only to come up empty handed.
âAll of us have been looking for our victim statements,â Jess Michaels, who was assaulted by Epstein when she was 22 years old, told CNN after the file release. Heavily redacted and missing interview reports suggest that âthis Department of Justice is actually gaslighting the entire country,â Michaels argued.
Newly unearthed DEA document from Epstein files raises question: Did Epstein facilitate drug trafficking?
The document includes a DEA case number and lists the case‘s opening date as Dec. 17, 2010 in New York. It notes that the matter is „judicial pending,“ indicating that the investigation remained active at the time the memo was drafted 5 years later. One law enforcement source told CBS News that this designation suggests investigators may have been awaiting court approval for search warrants or other legal action.
Another law enforcement source said it likely meant an arrest of someone associated with the case had been made. CBS News could not confirm that because the names of other targets were redacted from the document.

Interview with FBI naming Epstein co-conspirator completely missing in files: survivor
(February 14, 2026)
According to one of the victims of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, a series of emails and the record of an interview she gave with an FBI agent dating back to 2019 is nowhere to be found in what Attorney General Pam Bondâs Department of Justice has released.
Appearing on MS NOWâs âThe Weekend,â Epstein survivor Jess Michaels, who sat in the gallery as Bondi testified on Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee, said she has not heard from the DOJ and has had to ask for outside helphelp in tracking down the trail of documents she provided to the FBI.
Survivors search the Jeffrey Epstein files but find no sign of their evidence
(December 20, 2025)
When the first wave of Epstein files appeared online, survivor Jess Michaels didn‘t look for revelations â she searched for her own name.
She clicked and scrolled for hours, trawling for recognisable details of her own abuse suffered at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein. But she found nothing.
„It was exactly what we expected,“ she said.

Eisenkot accuses Netanyahu of âfabricated defenseâ in Oct. 7 probe response
Continuing, Eisenkot accused Netanyahu of using secretive documents deliberately in an election year âout of a desire to improve his image, distance himself from blame and harm the other candidates facing him.â
Eisenkot requested that the State Comptrollerâs Office allow the relevant people to review the full minutes of the meetings referenced by the premier in his âpartial and manipulativeâ response, and told Englman that he will be happy to âset the record straightâ regarding his own actions during his time as IDF chief.
Jeffrey Epstein sought access to billions in frozen Libyan assets
The documents describe preliminary discussions with international law firms to work on the case on a contingency-fee basis, meaning they would be paid only if they won.
Former officials of British intelligence service MI6 and Israel‘s Mossad expressed willingness to contribute to efforts to identify and recover the assets, according to the documents.
EXCLUSIVE: An FBI Informant Said Trump is Compromised by Israel. Headline USA Knows the Informantâs Identity
The Justice Department has released 3 million new files about deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein. Among those documents is an explosive allegation from an FBI informant: that President Donald Trump is compromised by Israel.
Headline USA can reveal the FBI informantâs identity: Charles Johnson, a controversial figure with a long history in the right-wing movement. Though the report in the Epstein files is redacted, Headline USA has independently obtained a separate FBI report featuring allegations made by Johnson when he was an FBI informant. The two reports are from the same field office, contain similar details, and have the same source ID: 00099701.
FBI memo concludes Trump ‚compromised‘ by Israel, new Epstein Files show
A declassified FBI memo released on 30 January states that US President Donald Trump was âcompromised by Israel,â that Jeffrey Epstein was a Mossad agent, and that a Jewish religious movement, Chabad Lubavitch, had coopted Trumpâs presidency.
The FBI memo was written in 2020 as part of an investigation into improper domestic or foreign influence over the US electoral process.
It is based on information from a confidential human source (CHS) for the bureau and is among more than three million Epstein-related files released by the Justice Department on Friday.
Epstein‘s inner circle Les Wexner, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn subpoenaed to testify before House Oversight Committee
(January 23, 2026)
Jeffrey Epstein‘s inner circle, Les Wexner, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, were formally issued subpoenas Friday to testify before the House Oversight Committee, as key associates of the convicted sex offender.
„Oversight Democrats fought hard to get these subpoenas and forced the vote on Republicans. Now, the Committee will hear directly from the individuals most closely involved in Epstein‘s inner circle. We will not stop until we get answers,“ Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said in a statement.
FBI memos, bank record, odd emails mention Wexner in new Epstein files
The latest documents come as the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has subpoenaed Wexner and other associates to testify about their relationship with Epstein. Wexner will be required to testify Feb. 18.
Included in the release was a handwritten note on Justice Department letterhead from August 2007. The note says the writer exchanged messages and spoke to Wexner‘s attorney at the time.
The note says Wexner‘s attorney said the retail titan was „very advanced in age.“ Wexner, who is now 88, was 69 at the time and still leading L Brands. He eventually stepped down from the company in May 2020, roughly 13 years after the note was written.
Federal Authorities Mapped Out Epsteinâs Inner Circle
The document featured photos and names of a number of well-known people in Mr. Epsteinâs orbit, including his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell; his lawyer Darren Indyke; his accountant Richard Kahn; his financial adviser Harry Beller; his longtime assistant Lesley Groff; and Jean-Luc Brunel, who died by suicide in a French jail after being charged with rape.
The names and faces of several other people, described as Mr. Epsteinâs employees or girlfriends, were redacted in the document.
Of all the people depicted or referred to in the chart, only Ms. Maxwell was ever charged with helping Mr. Epstein engage in the sex trafficking of teenage girls

The Epstein Files and the Seven Member Rule
(January 5, 2026)
While censure and reprimand are historically reserved for more serious offenses, the separate order technically makes members of Congress vulnerable to disciplinary action in the House for merely using a tool that members have been authorized to use since 1928.

Ultimately, however, the Supreme Court never reached the merits.
Rep. Massie weighs options to force compliance with Epstein files law
âComing forward has required extraordinary courage, exposing ourselves to public scrutiny, retaliation and lifelong emotional consequences,â Hobson wrote in a Jan. 18 letter. âWe did so with belief in our government and trusting that when Congress passed this law, the Executive Branch would honor it.â
The judge ruled this week that he does not have the authority to enforce the disclosure law, but that Massie and Khanna could file a lawsuit or pursue oversight through legislative means.
âWe have several avenues in the legislative branch here,â said Massie. âWe could bring contempt, inherent contempt, or even impeachment against Pam Bondi.â
Release: Rep. Khannaâs Statement on Epstein Survivor Haley Robsonâs Letter Urging Court to Enforce Epstein Files Transparency Act
(January 19, 2026)
The letter comes after Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche responded to Judge Engelmayerâs order denying Reps. Khanna and Massieâs motion to appoint a special master to oversee the release of the Epstein files.
Lawmakers can sue to ensure release of Epstein files, but not as part of Maxwell case, judge says
(Janiary 21, 2026)
âWe appreciate Judge Engelmayerâs timely response and attention to our request, and we respect his decision,“ Mr. Khanna said in a statement. „He said that we raised âlegitimate concernsâ about whether DOJ is complying with the law. We will continue to use every legal option to ensure the files are released and the survivors see justice.â
Judge demands response after lawmakers accuse DOJ of dragging feet with Epstein files
âThe Department of Justice is openly defying the law by refusing to release the full Epstein files. Millions of files are being kept from the public,â Khanna said in a statement last week. âThe DOJ has failed to make the necessary redactions to protect survivors while removing records after publication without any explanation.â
Massie accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of âegregiously violating the requirements of the Epstein Files Transparency Act,â the law passed by Congress late last year to facilitate the release of the materials.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer â the Barack Obama appointee in charge of Maxwellâs case â gave the Justice Department until Friday to respond to the lawmakersâ claims.
