Solhyd not only develops technology to produce hydrogen from air and sunlight. We also develop methods to produce that technology in a cost-effective and reliable manner. Efficient production, with cost reductions driven by scale benefits, will eventually lead to the lowest cost approach to make hydrogen from solar energy.
We took the first step in that process this year.

Under UN rules, the admission of new members has to be recommended by the Security Council before a vote in the General Assembly. If the Security Council does not recommend the application or postpones its consideration of the application, the council then must submit a special report to the General Assembly, which in turn could ask the council to reconsider.

Speakers at the main protest in Tel Aviv included protest leader Shikma Bressler and Prof. Yuval Noah Harari. Bressler warned that the government is “rushing towards a dictatorship and the destruction of the country,” and that “this coming Monday, it intends to pass, in a first vote, the cancellation of the reasonableness standard.”
Referring to the day of resistance planned for Tuesday, Bressler told demonstrators: “We will take to the streets en masse, with unparalleled determination, in a legal and non-violent struggle. I emphasize – non-violent. We call on the public to prepare for a prolonged and persistent struggle.”

At the Standing Together rally, Ayman Odeh, chairman of the left-wing Hadash party, said: „With this historic crisis there is also a huge and historic opportunity… The fascists‘ only chance is to separate us, and we won‘t let them.“
After his speech, Odeh said that he was attacked by a protester. „After my speech tonight against the fascism I was verbally assaulted by a group of fscist protesters, one of them physically attacked me and was immediately pushed away by protesters around me,“ he said on Twitter.

Hadash-Ta’al joint list, led by MKs Ayman Odeh and Ahmad Tibi, held a press conference in Shefa-Amr (Shfaram) on Saturday calling on democratic Jewish Israelis to vote for them. “Your vote is important. We have a clear leftist platform; clear ethical positions that many of you can identify with,” Odeh said.
Odeh and Tibi defined it as an “emergency press conference” in order to encourage Arab citizens to vote, after the last polls showed that less than 50% are intending to do so.
The Hadash and Ta’al list led by Knesset members Ayman Odeh and Ahmed Tibi, released a new election campaign video urging the Arab public to vote in the elections in order to stop the right-wing parties’ intention to carry out a new Nakba.
Hadash-Ta’al commented on the Central Election Commission’s decision to disqualify Balad’s candidacy for the 25th Knesset. “The decision to disqualify Balad is an unfortunate decision. [Benny] Gantz, [Yair] Lapid and [Meirav] Michaeli proved that they are right-wing in disguise. Despite the anger of the racists who want to keep the Arabs away from the polling stations, on election day we all flock to the polling stations.”

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) announced today that it will pursue litigation to challenge the federal government’s use of the Emergencies Act.
“We have retained Ewa Krajewska of Henein Hutchison LLP to take the federal government to court. We have said all along that the federal government did not meet the high burden necessary to invoke the Emergencies Act,” said Noa Mendelsohn Aviv, Executive Director of the CCLA.
The letter was sent Wednesday morning.
„We are writing to request that you immediately reinstate the vaccine and quarantine exemptions available to cross-border truck drivers. We understand the vital importance of vaccines in the fight against COVID-19 and continue to encourage eligible individuals to get vaccinated,“ it said.
The letter was signed by 16 U.S. Republican governors, some from border states like Montana, North Dakota and Alaska, some from southern states like Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama.
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, joined by 16 American governors, have written to President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau demanding the end of vaccination mandates for cross-border truckers.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced the lawsuit shortly after the Biden administration said Thursday morning that its vaccine rules applying to private businesses with 100 or more employees, certain health care workers and federal contractors will take effect Jan. 4.
Both parties‘ negotiating teams are expected to meet later on Thursday for the first time since talks between Yesh Atid and New Hope were halted amid Israel‘s latest operation in Gaza.

With just three days before Israel’s fourth election in two years tomorrow, Tuesday, March 23, the weekly protests against far-right Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued last Saturday night, March 20, in city squares, at major intersections, and along highway overpasses throughout the country. The protests were organized under the slogans “Go vote,” “Replace the government,” and “Bring about change.”

In a surreal year that has spiraled from surging hopes for a Bernie Sanders presidency to today’s pandemic-hemmed fear and a tight election between centrist Democrats and fascistic Republicans, now may be just the right time for a new political party.
As voters face a dismal “lesser of two evils” election in which a Biden/Harris ticket represents the only alternative to four more years of Trumpian fascism and racism, the Movement for a People’s Party aims to prevent such dreary and sparse choices in the future.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has overturned the state‘s stay-at-home order, ruling it „unlawful“ and „unenforceable“ in a high-profile win for the state‘s Republican-led Legislature.
In a 4-3 decision Wednesday, the court ruled that Democratic Gov. Tony Evers‘ administration overstepped its authority when the state Department of Health Services extended the order to May 26.
He got a major break Wednesday when Republican Sens. Mike Lee (Utah) and Rand Paul (Ky.) told reporters they’d back his effort. Since then, Kaine said, he has spoken with eight or nine more senators from the 53-member GOP caucus, with more meetings planned.
He needs 51 votes for the resolution to pass. A vote could come as soon as Tuesday. Kaine said he has agreed to remove references to President Trump from the resolution — it would, of course, apply to all presidents — and to make other technical changes.
There are basically two regimes: a democratic regime for Jews and a fascist regime for Arabs; a democratic regime that promises someone like the racist rapper „The Shadow“ unlimited freedom of expression and makes a lawmaker like Hazan into a superstar of incitement.
Nor do we see the public or law enforcement get worked up when some Jews shamelessly permit our killing and literally define us as their slaves. Do I really need to explain how the state treats us?
According to an internal poll commissioned by Coalition 17/9, were the election held today, 56 percent of eligible Arab voters would cast their ballot. That’s a considerable improvement over the last election but still a long way to go.
Swaid believes the reunification of the Joint List is the main factor behind this positive trend.
The Joint List won 13 seats in the 120-member Knesset in 2015. Hadash-Ta’al and Ra’am-Balad in April separately won a total of 10 seats.
Arab Israeli voters turned out in dramatically lower numbers for April’s vote compared to that of 2015.

Hadash (The Democratic Front for Peace and Equality – Communist Party of Israel) and three political parties representing the Arab-Palestinian national minority in Israel, Ta’al, Ra’am and Balad, have announced they will reunite for the upcoming Knesset elections.

The joint candidacy will require a change to the party’s constitution to allow two people to run together for chairman. The party leadership primary is scheduled for June 27, and two weeks later there will be elections for the party Knesset slate.
“The Israeli left needs hope in the form of a true Jewish-Arab partnership, said Freige. “The Arab public showed confidence in Meretz during the last election and now we must enhance the partnership in the form of a strong and influential Arab-Jewish left.”
In the April 9 election, voter turnout in the Arab community fell to less than 50 percent, and United Arab List-Balad received only 3.3 percent of all the votes cast, just 0.05 percent above the minimum vote threshold to enter the Knesset. The Arab parties won 10 seats in the present Knesset, compared to 13 in the previous one when they ran together as the Joint List. Moreover, 27 percent of the voters opted for Zionist parties, and Meretz in particular.
According to a report on Israeli voters issued last month by the Central Bureau of Statistics, Israeli Arabs comprise 16 percent of the total electorate.
