One of the wise decisions made by protest leaders was to stay away from currently serving politicians. Opposition parties are not leading the protest and are only trying to ride the huge wave it is creating in the streets. In the central weekly rally in Tel Aviv, politicians who are currently serving in the Knesset have been barred from speaking. They’ve had to make do with subsidiary locations, in other cities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he plans to meet China‘s leader Xi Jinping to discuss Beijing‘s proposals on ending the war in Ukraine.
Speaking on the first anniversary of Russia‘s full-scale invasion, he said the proposal signalled that China was involved in the search for peace.
The only issue today should be to stop the war and to secure the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. The only way that could happen is a Washington-Moscow agreement that Russia withdraws in exchange for a commitment of Ukrainian neutrality. Anything else is war mongering.

Nie hat eine Regierung tiefer in die Situation am Arbeitsplatz – für Angestellte, Arbeiter, Auszubildende, Freiberufler und Selbstständige gleichermaßen – eingriffen wie aktuell in Deutschland.
Die Befürworter der „Corona-Maßnahmen“, die sich weit überwiegend bis heute nicht als wirksam erwiesen haben, profitieren von der Möglichkeit, die rationale Kritik an der Aufweichung betrieblichen Daten-, Kündigungs- und auch Gesundheitsschutzes als Einzelmeinung darzustellen, die man vernachlässigen könne.
Die Kontrolle der Regierung durch das Parlament und des Parlaments durch den Souverän findet nicht wirksam genug statt, wie unser Vorsitzender Marcel Luthe als Berliner Abgeordnter selbst erleben musste.

WASHINGTON— Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) unveiled the Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act, a bill to institute a nationwide cancellation of rents and home mortgage payments through the duration of the coronavirus pandemic. The bill would constitute a full payment forgiveness, with no accumulation of debt for renters or homeowners and no negative impact on their credit rating or rental history. The legislation will establish a relief fund for landlords and mortgage holders to cover losses from the cancelled payments and create an optional fund to fully finance the purchase of private rental properties by non-profits, public housing authorities, cooperatives, community land trusts, and states or local governments—in order to increase the availability of affordable housing during this downturn.
