None of us is helpless. Our actions—as well as the actions we don’t take—make a real, tangible impact. So, ask yourself: in which direction will you push the world today?

FDP-Parteitag: Rede von Wolfgang Kubicki | 30.05.26
May 30, 2026
Rede von Wolfgang Kubicki, Kandidat für den FDP-Bundesvorsitz, beim 77. Bundesparteitag der FDP in Berlin.
On Politics, Ideology and Anti-Zionism
Moreover, we have allies in Israel and around the world, who share the same fundamental political goals we strive for – self-determination for the Palestinian people, the end of the occupation, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, and the rejection of all discrimination against Palestinians in Israel. Some of these allies consider themselves Zionist, because they subscribe to a minimalist understanding of Zionism – self-determination for a Jewish collective in Israel. This right was recognized by the international community in the 1947 partition plan of Palestine and was realized by the state of Israel itself.
We do not reject this right, yet as Friedrich Engels said: “A people which oppresses another cannot emancipate itself.” Israel is still preventing the right of self-determination for Palestinians – the right for an independent Palestinian state with real borders and an end to the suffering. We need to work together with those who believe in the rights of both peoples – and some of them are Zionists.
We also know that when a political solution is achieved, it will not be after Jewish Israelis reject Zionism, but when they decide that their collective and individual interests lie on the side of peace. We are materialists – we assert that Zionism, the ideology, will only be overcome after we begin to dismantle its material basis – that of apartheid and colonization.
Therefore, our focus must remain on practical actions against this reality – and not symbolic politics of denunciation. In the German case, this means advocating for concrete actions such as a ban on settlement products import, the suspension of the EU-Israel association agreement, and a complete ban on arms supply to Israel. These actions could challenge Zionism much more than the adoption of the antizionist label.
How to Change Your DNS on Any Device
(20.01.2024)
A Domain Name System (DNS) matches human-friendly domain names to computer-friendly IP addresses.
When you type in a domain name like cyberghost.com, for example, your web browser sends the request to your ISP via your router. Your ISP refers the request to its default DNS server. The DNS server then supplies the relevant IP address so your browser can load the appropriate page.
A DNS also saves a local copy or cache of sites you’ve recently visited on your device for quick and easy reference.
It seems like a streamlined service; what could go wrong? Check the following reasons why you should change your DNS.
Who are the women and girls behind Gaza war’s horrific casualty toll?
(April 20, 2026)
Thirteen-year-old Mona describes how she survived a double airstrike that killed her mother, sister and brother, destroyed her family home, and left her with life-changing injuries. “We were sitting on the sixth floor when they struck the seventh – my uncle’s apartment. My uncle’s wife was screaming, “My children! My children are gone!” As I rushed to help her, they fired the second shell. That’s when my mother and my siblings were killed and my leg was amputated”, says Mona.
“The shell hit them directly. Their bodies weren’t whole – they were in pieces”, says Mona. Mona’s mother and sister are among more than 38,000 women and girls killed in Gaza between October 2023 and December 2025, representing on average at least 47 women and girls killed every day.
In the immediate aftermath, Mona’s father was forced to tell her what had happened to the rest of her family. “At that moment, I felt nothing – I went completely numb”, says Mona.
These Are the Journalists Israel Has Killed Since the Start of the Iran War
Al-Manar is owned by Hezbollah, but it is a civilian organization protected by international law. Hezbollah is a militant group, but also a political party with elected representatives in Lebanon’s parliament.
The strikes drew condemnation from press rights groups and leaders across Lebanon’s deeply divided political spectrum.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called it “a blatant crime that violates all norms and treaties under which journalists are granted international protection during armed conflicts”.
As US Attacks Iran, Daniel Ellsberg Speaks to Us Once More
(March 2, 2026)
“Don’t delegate conscience,” Daniel Ellsberg wrote.
“Most people conform and accept,” he noted. “A minority protest, withdraw. A tiny minority resist, take risks.”
“The temptation is strong to obey powerful men passively and unquestioningly,” Ellsberg observed in 1971, the year he turned himself in for giving the Pentagon Papers to the press and faced the prospect of spending the rest of his life in prison.
He instantly became a pariah among colleagues who’d been his friends at the RAND Corporation, a think tank serving the US war machine. He’d been working there as a strategic analyst before and after a stint at the Defense Department.
“After I released the papers,” he vividly remembered, “some people were afraid to write to me . . . to shake hands with me . . . to receive a phone call from me.” Three years later, his takeaway was: “Accept the risks of freedom and commitment, instead of the risks of obedience and conformity.”
‘They Were All I Had’: Lebanese Father Buries Parents, 4 Daughters Killed by Israeli Bombing
It was a devastating scene repeated in other parts of Lebanon, including the south, were a distraught mother on Friday reportedly buried five sons killed by Israeli bombing, and in the Ghobeiry neighborhood of central Beirut earlier this week, when an Israeli airstrike destroyed the home of the Hamdan family, reportedly killing father Ahmad Hamdan, his three daughters, and two grandchildren. As of Tuesday, Hamdan’s wife was missing beneath the rubble of their bombed-out home.

California gubernatorial candidate Tony Thurmond endorses California Billionaire Tax
(February 20, 2026)
Thurmond, a longtime champion of programs to counter food insecurity, sponsored a state law that currently funds universal school meals for every California student. Today, Thurmond praised the Billionaire Tax for helping children and families when they need it most, by funding food, supporting K-14 public education, and protecting healthcare for all Californians.
“Billionaires have a unique opportunity to save healthcare for Californians, feed hungry families, and reinvest in our public schools,” Thurmond said. “Growing up in poverty, having access to healthcare and food aid kept me and my brother alive, and public education offered us a ladder to the middle class. At a time of unprecedented wealth and income inequality, now is the time to strengthen that ladder for the next generation, not pull it up behind us.”
“Massive Cover-Up”: Rep. Jayapal Slams AG Pam Bondi over Epstein Files & Spying on Lawmakers
“Essentially, they were spying on us,” says Democratic Congressmember Pramila Jayapal. “It’s certainly not going to stop me from continuing to review the files, but it is absolutely outrageous.”
Jayapal also condemns the Justice Department for refusing to open new investigations into Epstein’s associates listed in the files. “These were rich, powerful, wealthy people, mostly men, who groomed, raped, abused, manipulated young girls,” she says.
.@RepThomasMassie and I forced last night the DOJ to disclose the identities of 6 men: Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze, Leonic Leonov, Nicola Caputo, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, and billionaire businessman Leslie Wexner.
I share details of what more we learned to hold the Epstein class accountable.
U.S. lawmaker Ro Khanna names 6 ‚powerful men‘ originally redacted from Epstein files
Khanna took the extraordinary step of naming six „powerful men“ in the chamber who he said had their names improperly redacted, after visiting the Justice Department with Massie on Monday — the first day lawmakers were allowed to view unredacted files.
The presence of one‘s name in the files related to Epstein does not by itself indicate criminal wrongdoing, but Khanna is likely protected from legal consequence or defamation claims by the „speech or debate“ clause of the U.S. Constitution.

How to change DNS settings on every device
(August 12, 2022)
By default, your home network likely relies on a DNS server provided by your internet provider. However, these servers aren’t always the fastest and, in some cases, may even allow your ISP to maliciously track your online behavior. To that end, if internet speed and privacy matter a lot, you should perhaps consider changing your DNS server.
The best way to change your DNS server is at the router level, which will affect every single device connected to it.
Enabling DNS over TLS On Android
