Former Georgia Rep. MTG, Tucker Carlson Signal Third-Party Ambitions Following GOP Split
Former Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and former cable news host Tucker Carlson have signaled plans to form a new political party, citing growing dissatisfaction with the Republican Party and current U.S. foreign policy.
In a social media post on Saturday, Greene shared a photograph of a meeting featuring herself, her husband Brian Glenn, Carlson, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Massieâs wife, and Joe Kent.
Marjorie Taylor Greene teams up with Tucker Carlson as Trump rift fuels political party push: âBetrayed us allâ
Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has shared a new photo with Tucker Carlson, Rep. Thomas Massie and Joe Kent, adding fresh momentum to discussions about launching a new political party.
Greene posted the picture on X and said the group had come together because they believe President Donald Trump has broken one of his biggest campaign promises. Her post comes weeks after Carlson publicly said he was helping build a third party.
The latest meeting has again raised questions about whether the group plans to turn those talks into a formal political movement.
For the MOU to hold and result in a lasting peace, we must restrict aid to Israel immediately & make it clear that we will not defend them should Iran opt to strike in response to Israelâs attacks in Lebanon.
Israel has not responded to our verbal & written demandsâthat is not going to change, unless we change it by taking action.
Israel claims sovereignty & continues to threaten our peace deal, yet they rely on us to bail them out. This is calculated.
We have to respond accordingly and stop this cycle once and for all.
Lead with action: remove their leverage, otherwise they will not take us seriously.
An open SOH & peace in the region have to be our focus. Israel is playing spoilerâwe must limit their ability to do so.
We can strengthen our chances of this deal holding by cutting all military/intel assistance to Israel, they took every opportunity to tank this deal & will likely do so again unless we take action.
We should also quietly get our troops out of the bases in the Gulf that can be reached by Iran. This ensures Iranian hardliners canât strike us to drag us back into the fight.
Take away every factor that we can control that could force us back into the war on Israel or Iranâs terms.
Set all conditions that we can control in our favor.
Tulsi Gabbard resigns as Trump‘s national intelligence director
There had been rumblings that Gabbard would split with Trump after the president‘s decision to strike Iran, which caused some division within his administration. Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, announced his resignation in March, saying he „cannot in good conscience“ back the war.
Gabbard, a veteran and former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, built her political name on her opposition to foreign wars. This put her in an awkward position when the U.S. joined Israel in launching attacks on Iran on Feb. 28.
To ensure the ceasefire is successful we must first ensure that we restrain the Israelis.

âStop Us From Getting Into A Warâ: Joe Kent Reveals Charlie Kirkâs Final Warning In Bombshell Tucker Carlson Interview
The most striking moment of the interview came when Kent recounted his final meeting with Charlie Kirk, the Turning Point USA founder who was instrumental in the current administrationâs rise and the selection of JD Vance as Vice President.
âThe last time I saw Charlie Kirk on this Earth was in June, in the West Wing,â Kent told Carlson. âHe looked me in the eye and he said⊠âJoe, stop us from getting into a war with Iran.ââ
According to Kent, Kirkâwho was assassinated on September 10, 2025âwas one of the few top-tier advisors vocally urging the President to avoid a Middle Eastern conflagration and to ârethinkâ the unconditional nature of the U.S.-Israeli partnership.
Former counterterrorism chief says he was blocked from investigating Charlie Kirkâs killing
Joe Kent publicly announced his resignation as the director of the National Counterterrorism Center on March 17, stating that he âcannot in good conscienceâ support the U.S.âs war with Iran.
Kirk was shot dead during a public appearance in Utah on September 10, 2025. A day after his resignation, Kent appeared on The Tucker Carlson Show, where he claimed that his investigation into the killing was blocked.

Exclusive: FBI investigates intelligence aide who resigned over war
Trump aides and allies denounced Kent as a leaker immediately after his resignation became public.
Kent wrote in his resignation letter that Iran poses âno imminent threat to our nationâ and accused Trump of initiating the war âdue to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.â
The FBI and the White House declined to comment.
Joe Kent: Trump Is LYING To You
Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, talks to Tucker Carlson about Iran and his resignation letter. Ana Kasparian discusses on The Young Turks.
Takeaways from former Trump administration counterterrorism chief Joe Kentâs extensive interview
âThere was no intelligence that said, hey, on whatever day it was, March 1st, the Iranians are going to launch this big sneak attack, theyâre going to do some kind of a 9/11, Pearl Harbor, etc. Theyâre going to attack one of our bases. There was none of that intelligence,â Kent said.
Trump and the the White House have repeatedly cited an imminent threat posed by Iran as an impetus for launching strikes against the country.
Kent further argued that the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who died last month in joint US and Israeli strikes, had been moderating the countryâs nuclear program.
On Iran, Gabbard Turned Intelligence Duties Over to Trump
Ms. Gabbard does not quickly turn on her allies, and she showed little desire to throw Mr. Kent under the bus or attack him. But she has remained in her position by being a careful student of Mr. Trump, and knows how to stay on his good side. And critiquing the presidentâs view of the threat from Iran was clearly not the way to keep your job.
So she came up with her line that it is Mr. Trump, not the intelligence community, that determines what constitutes a threat.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.
Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
