technical updates
A few weeks ago, we implemented some important updates and / or changes. For security reasons, we waited a little before making that public.
– the 24 hours news feed has been enhanced to 40 entries.
Background: we assume, that certain actors use RSS feeds to exploit the work of others, slow websites down and sabotage or infiltrate news media. If we notice such attempts, we take countermeasures.
We recommend using independent resp. secure RSS readers. Examples can be found here.
If you do not receive any updates via our RSS feed, go directly to our website.
– we have increased the blocking duration of our crawl limiter to 1 hour. The limit remains at 15 requests per minute.
– instead of using the original links of the published news items, we now use redirects to safely transport you from our website to the news source (in case you don‘t know: we use 4096 encryption).
Notable effect: data scraper are having a hard time.
