Melania Trump shares the spotlight with a robot at an education and technology event
The first lady paused just before entering the East Room while the robot walked around the table with the panelists and took up a position in the center of the room.
It took a moment to scan the audience before speaking.
„Thank you, first lady Melania Trump, for inviting me to the White House. It is an honor to be at Fostering the Future Together‘s global coalition inaugural meeting,“ it said.

The ‘Crazy’ Plot to Release the Epstein Files
Khanna’s staff and consultants tried to talk him out of pursuing such legislation, explaining that it could make him look like a conspiracy theorist, instead of his desired image as a “serious economics guy.” But Khanna explained to his staff that the topic of Epstein kept coming up, especially when he appeared on podcasts or visited the more conservative parts of his district. He recalled a young man delivering a long rant at a recent town hall about how he didn’t trust the government because it was “protecting pedophiles” by not releasing the Epstein files or holding more people accountable. In that moment, Khanna told me, he realized that standing up for Epstein’s victims—and against the wealthy or powerful—was a way to build trust.

Republicans and Democrats generally sit with members of their own party during the State of the Union, but Khanna and Massie have forged an unlikely friendship amid their push for transparency on the deceased sex offender’s political and financial ties.

In the last few days of this race, you spoke often about your alliance with Mamdani, saying “Jewish New Yorkers and Muslim New Yorkers are not going to be divided.” What has it been like for you to promote this example of solidarity between the two of you at a time when many have sought to drive a wedge between these two communities?
The year and a half plus since October 7 has been excruciating. I am a proud Jewish New Yorker, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in city government, and these issues matter a lot to me. Watching surging antisemitism culminating in these horrific incidents in D.C. and Boulder has been really frightening. I’ve talked to a lot of Jewish New Yorkers who are anxious. For me, that’s always gone along with believing in equal humanity. We have this Jewish term, b’tzelem Elohim. That means everyone’s equally created in God’s image. Palestinian kids in Gaza deserve just as much safety and opportunity to thrive as my kids do.

“Mr. Kennedy is the one person who has the qualities that can bring about the unity that most Americans are hungering for,” Mr. Kucinich said. “He speaks a language of conciliation and compassion.”
Besides fund-raising efforts, the Biden campaign has not had much of a public presence since its formal rollout in April. Top officials have spent time in recent days in Wilmington, Del., shopping for office space for a campaign headquarters that is expected to open in July, according to two people familiar with the discussions. The campaign, which has just a few employees on its payroll, is expected to add more staff members once its offices open.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t running for president, but she’s in the race
Sanders is a candidate who presents himself less as a personality than a conduit for a movement. And in the Bernie bubble, Ocasio-Cortez is seen as the future of the movement embodied. What makes her so effective as a surrogate, beyond her star power, is that if you campaign on electing a movement rather that a person, there’s no difference between hearing the message from the 78-year-old white male candidate or his 30-year-old Latina supporter. The perception among her supporters is that a vote for Sanders is also a vote for Ocasio-Cortez to continue her rise.
