We promised to do things differently — and we have. Below you will find evolved drafts of Your Party’s four founding documents: our Political Statement, Constitution, Standing Orders, and Organisational Strategy. Together, they set out our principles, our purpose, and how we organise to win. Over the last month, thousands of members have debated and amended these documents at regional assemblies across every nation of Britain, while also proposing edits online via our unique crowd-editing tool. Harnessing the wisdom of a mass movement, the documents have evolved in response to members’ views. The big questions will be decided by members democratically during our Founding Conference, with some amendments emerging from the process and members able to submit others. This is real democracy in action — get involved, as we build a new party by and for the people, not the powerful.

Who will be speaking at Your Party conference?
The four Your Party MPs – Jeremy Corbyn, Zarah Sultana, Shockat Adam and Ayoub Khan are all expected to address the conference. Alongside this, representatives from left-wing parties across Europe are also expected to speak to attendees.
What will Your Party’s new name be?
One of the things being decided at the conference this weekend will be the new name for the party. Leading figures have consistently described ‘Your Party’ as merely a holding name, with the permanent name to be decided at the founding conference.
The new name of the party, as agreed by members, is expected to be announced on Sunday.
Thousands to gather in Liverpool for inaugural Your Party conference
THOUSANDS are set to gather in Liverpool on Saturday for the eagerly awaited inaugural Your Party conference.
Delegates selected through a sortition process, designed to ensure fair representation, will travel from around the country to debate the party’s founding documents at the ACC arena.
With a membership of 50,000, the party is the largest socialist party in Britain in 80 years.
The road to conference
Our Founding Conference will be held in Liverpool on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November.
By mid-October our founding process will have begun in earnest – we have opened our membership portal, are initiating wide democratic debate and will soon publish draft versions of our four core founding documents: our Political Statement, Constitution, Rules, and Organisational Strategy.
We will host mass regional assemblies where thousands of members will come together to listen to each other, debate and revise the founding documents face to face. All members will be able to comment, suggest changes, and track how each document develops.
In November, thousands of in-person founding conference delegates will be chosen by lottery to ensure a fair balance of gender, region, and background. These delegates will have a big responsibility – to debate the founding documents, propose amendments and vote on them at the conference in Liverpool. The final decision will be up to all members through an online, secure, one-member-one-vote system.
This is your time
Your Party was launched in July 2025 by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana to found a political party that was an alternative to the status quo and to decades of neoliberalism, austerity and the demonisation of refugees and marginalised communities.
The founding process is being stewarded by the six members of the Independent Alliance. This isn’t just another political party. It’s about doing politics differently – where decisions are shaped by all of us, power is returned to communities, and principles come first.

The Western liberal’s moral collapse in Gaza
On October 24, 2023, two and a half weeks after Hamas’ attack on Israel, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported a grim new record: Israel’s bombardment of the Strip had killed 704 Palestinians in the previous 24 hours alone. The next day, Egyptian-Canadian writer Omar El Akkad posted a now famous sentence on X: “One day, when it’s safe, when there’s no personal downside to calling a thing what it is, when it’s too late to hold anyone accountable, everyone will have always been against this.”
That razor-sharp turn of phrase, which has since been viewed more than 10 million times, stayed with El Akkad all the way to February 2025, when it became the title of his third book.

Faced with the existential threat that Israel’s war on Gaza poses to their self-image, one might expect Western liberals to reckon with El Akkad’s core argument. And yet, outside of the ideological pro-Israel factions who cling to dogma over truth, the self-styled progressive is more likely to acknowledge past injustice only once nothing can be done to change it — when the most they can muster is a weary shrug: “It is what it is,” or, “We had no choice.”
“One remarkable difference between the modern Western conservative and their liberal counterpart,” he writes, “is that the former will gleefully sign their name on the side of the bomb while the latter will just sheepishly initial it.”

That this House expresses deep concern regarding the efforts of Israeli coalition and opposition politicians to oust MK Ayman Odeh from the Knesset; joins Odeh in welcoming the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal which enabled the exchange of Israeli and Palestinian hostages and abductees; supports the sentiment of Palestinians and Israelis being freed from the burden of occupation and building a shared future; notes that, of the 90 Palestinians hostages most recently released by Israel, 69 were women, 21 were children, and most had been held without charge or trial; acknowledges the existence of myriad political mechanisms that enable the targeting, exclusion, and marginalisation of Palestinian-Israeli members of the Knesset, including the conflation of one’s support for Palestinian rights with support for terrorism or incitement to violence; further notes the similar employment of the impeachment process against MK Ofer Cassif, as a result of his signing a petition in support of the South Africa’s case forwarded in the International Court of Justice, accusing Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza; believes in the value of maintaining a representative democracy that encompasses a broad array of political, social, and ethnic creeds; and calls on the Government to vehemently oppose any efforts by Israeli parliamentarians to further solidify an ethnocratic, apartheid state, and deny the Palestinian population’s right to self-determination through the rooting out of democratically elected officials that represent their cause.

Impeachment Proceedings Against MK Odeh Opened
This move comes in response to statements Odeh made about three months ago expressing support for a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal involving the release of both Palestinian detainees and Israeli hostages. He also declared at a recent “Partnership for Peace” demonstration in Haifa on last Saturday, that “Gaza will triumph over the policy of war and destruction,” and that “the Palestinian people will defeat the occupation.”
In response, Odeh stated that he “stands proudly” behind his humanitarian stance, which calls for an immediate end to the war and a comprehensive political agreement. He emphasized that “the Palestinian people’s victory over the occupation is a historical inevitability” and that his views “reflect a human conscience and are supported by the vast majority of the world’s people.”
Odeh also criticized the petition’s signatories for their silence on the killing of children in Gaza, noting that some of them “called for Gaza to be completely wiped out.” He declared in a press statement: “I will stand firm—alongside national forces and every democratic, conscientious individual—and we will face this rabid campaign with confidence and deep conviction.”
“The move to expel me from the Knesset is part of a broader campaign of political persecution, led by the far right in a desperate attempt to secure a total victory for Kahanism in the upcoming elections. The fact that members of the opposition chose to join this effort and helped gather the 70 required signatures is nothing less than full cooperation with the Likud’s orchestrated campaign”, he said on X.
