Some imagine themselves as digitally enabled Ăbermenschen. In 2023, the billionaire tech investor Marc Andreessen published âThe Techno-Optimist Manifesto,â with a section titled, âBecoming Technological Supermen.â In it, he borrowed language from the Italian futurist â and fascist â Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, writing, âTechnology must be a violent assault on the forces of the unknown, to force them to bow before man.â He quoted Friedrich Nietzsche to argue that absent such an assault, life becomes meaningless and small. In a section titled âThe Enemy,â Andreessen listed ideas that would restrain technologyâs momentum, including âtech ethicsâ and the concept of âexistential risk.â

Instead they have been politically justified by âinformation warfareâ to demonize enemies and fabricate crises, and then waged in a âdisguised, quiet, media freeâ way, to hide their cost in human blood from the American public and the world.
After 16 years of war, about 6 million violent deaths, 6 countries utterly destroyed and many more destabilized, it is urgent that the American public come to terms with the true human cost of our countryâs wars and how we have been manipulated and misled into turning a blind eye to them â before they go on even longer, destroy more countries, further undermine the rule of international law and kill millions more of our fellow human beings.

GAZA, September 5, 2026 (WAFA) â Health authorities in the Gaza Strip said today that the death toll from Israel‘s ongoing aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,651, while 174,575 Palestinians have been injured since October 7, 2023.
Hospitals in Gaza reported that they received 17 bodies over the past 48 hours, including five newly killed Palestinians, one who succumbed to injuries, and 11 bodies recovered from under the rubble, in addition to 27 injured Palestinians.
GAZA, September 5, 2026 (WAFA) â Rescue teams in the Gaza Strip recovered on Saturday the remains of 55 Palestinians from beneath the rubble of a home destroyed by Israeli forces in the Zeitoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City, on November 19, 2023, during the genocidal war.
The rescue teams said they recovered the bodies and remains of 55 Palestinians from beneath the rubble of the Malka family home, which Israeli forces destroyed while more than 60 people had sought shelter inside after being displaced from their homes in fear of intense Israeli bombardment nearly two years ago.
The latest casualties include five new fatalities, one person who died from previous wounds and 11 bodies recovered from beneath debris. Additional victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, with ambulance and civil defence teams still unable to reach them, it added.
In April 2026, UN OCHA reported 925 movement obstacles that permanently or intermittently restrict the movement of 3.4 million Palestinians in the West Bank, marking a 20-year high that is 43% more than the annual average during the last 20 years. OtherâŻland confiscation orders for the expansion of settler infrastructure and roads have beenâŻissuedâŻby the Israeli military in other parts of the West Bank, including Qusra â NablusâŻgovernorate, and Kufr Niâmeh â RamallahâŻgovernorate.
âIsraelâs shameless use of land seizure orders to dispossess Palestinians and accelerate the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territory must be stopped immediately. By confiscating Palestinian land to expand its illegal settlements, Israeli authorities are escalating long-standing violations of international law and further entrenching a system of dispossession and oppression. Israel must immediately halt these unlawful land seizures and end the relentless expansion of illegal settlements,â said Heba Morayef.
âThe international community must move beyond rhetoric and take concrete steps to uphold its legal obligations to bring Israelâs violations to an end.

It is of vital importance that member states of the UN start taking immediate steps towards expelling Israel under the UN Charter. Expulsion from the UN is not only warranted in this case, but is imperative, as it is the only way to ensure the legitimacy of international law, and of the UN itself. Should expulsion prove politically difficult, due to the veto power Israelâs allies â in particular, the US â wield in the UNSC, member states should, at least as a first step, de facto suspend Israel from the UNGA, as was done in the case of South Africa.
