Who will be speaking at Your Party conference?
The four Your Party MPs – Jeremy Corbyn, Zarah Sultana, Shockat Adam and Ayoub Khan are all expected to address the conference. Alongside this, representatives from left-wing parties across Europe are also expected to speak to attendees.
What will Your Party’s new name be?
One of the things being decided at the conference this weekend will be the new name for the party. Leading figures have consistently described ‘Your Party’ as merely a holding name, with the permanent name to be decided at the founding conference.
The new name of the party, as agreed by members, is expected to be announced on Sunday.
THOUSANDS are set to gather in Liverpool on Saturday for the eagerly awaited inaugural Your Party conference.
Delegates selected through a sortition process, designed to ensure fair representation, will travel from around the country to debate the party’s founding documents at the ACC arena.
With a membership of 50,000, the party is the largest socialist party in Britain in 80 years.
Our Founding Conference will be held in Liverpool on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November.
By mid-October our founding process will have begun in earnest – we have opened our membership portal, are initiating wide democratic debate and will soon publish draft versions of our four core founding documents: our Political Statement, Constitution, Rules, and Organisational Strategy.
We will host mass regional assemblies where thousands of members will come together to listen to each other, debate and revise the founding documents face to face. All members will be able to comment, suggest changes, and track how each document develops.
In November, thousands of in-person founding conference delegates will be chosen by lottery to ensure a fair balance of gender, region, and background. These delegates will have a big responsibility – to debate the founding documents, propose amendments and vote on them at the conference in Liverpool. The final decision will be up to all members through an online, secure, one-member-one-vote system.
Your Party was launched in July 2025 by Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana to found a political party that was an alternative to the status quo and to decades of neoliberalism, austerity and the demonisation of refugees and marginalised communities.
The founding process is being stewarded by the six members of the Independent Alliance. This isn’t just another political party. It’s about doing politics differently – where decisions are shaped by all of us, power is returned to communities, and principles come first.
In written submissions, he highlighted a September 2024 report from the National Police Coordination Centre that came after alleged terrorism incidents. The report concluded that Palestine Action was “a risk to UK businesses and legitimate enterprises nationwide” and engaged as a whole in “non-violent direct action”.
Another report from the centre in December last year said incidents in which violence had been used were “not the norm for PA (Palestine Action) action, and any harm or injuries historically are assessed to be the result of unintentional or misjudged action through trying to evade capture”.
Activists from the group painted “Gaza is not for sale” and dug up parts of the green at Mr Trump’s golf course in Scotland in March 2025, with the president writing on social media that the prime minister had assured him that “they caught the terrorists” involved.
The group was proscribed as a terror organisation in an unusual move four months later, after activists broke into RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and sprayed two military planes with red paint.
Legal action by Huda Ammori, the cofounder of Palestine Action, has begun in London’s High Court against the decision by the United Kingdom government to designate the activist group as a terrorist organisation.
The interior ministry, or Home Office, proscribed the pro-Palestinian group in July, days after activists protesting against Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza broke into an air force base in southern England.
Additionally, Katz says that his position, whereby officers who served in the Southern Command on October 7 will not be promoted, “remains unchanged.” This comes after Zamir ruled that there was no issue with the promotion of three senior officers, whose promotions were previously held up or canceled by Katz.

Israeli chief of staff Eyal Zamir on Sunday dismissed senior officers in the military over „failure to prevent“ the 7 October 2023 attack by Hamas, local media reported.
Zamir ended the service of several retired generals, including the former Military Intelligence chief Aharon Haliva, former Southern Command chief Yaron Finkelman, and former Operations Directorate chief Oded Basyuk, according to the public broadcaster KAN.
The report said that Zamir also dismissed Gaza Division reserve commander Avi Rosenfeld, while the division’s intelligence officer was expelled from the army altogether.
Under the measure, the Justice Department has 30 days to release the materials once the president signs it. If Trump signed the bill Wednesday, the deadline for release would be Dec. 19.
(…)
For any materials it chooses to withhold or redact, the DOJ is required to outline their justifications for doing so within 15 days of their public release.

As Barbara Lee presciently warned her colleagues before she cast her lone dissenting vote in 2001, we have “become the evil we deplore.” But these wars have not been accompanied by fearsome military parades (not yet) or speeches about conquering the world. Instead they have been politically justified by “information warfare” to demonize enemies and fabricate crises, and then waged in a “disguised, quiet, media free” way, to hide their cost in human blood from the American public and the world.
After 16 years of war, about 6 million violent deaths, 6 countries utterly destroyed and many more destabilized, it is urgent that the American public come to terms with the true human cost of our country’s wars and how we have been manipulated and misled into turning a blind eye to them – before they go on even longer, destroy more countries, further undermine the rule of international law and kill millions more of our fellow human beings.
President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act into law, officially directing the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all unclassified records and documents connected to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
donated Thousands of Dollars to Democrat Politicians, and was deeply associated with many well-known Democrat figures, such as Bill Clinton (who traveled on his plane 26 times), Larry Summers (who just resigned from many Boards, including Harvard), Sleazebag Political Activist Reid Hoffman, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (who asked Epstein to donate to his Campaign AFTER Epstein was charged), Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, and many more. Perhaps the truth about these Democrats, and their associations with Jeffrey Epstein, will soon be revealed, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES! As everyone knows, I asked Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, to pass this Bill in the House and Senate, respectively. Because of this request, the votes were almost unanimous in favor of passage. At my direction, the Department of Justice has already turned over close to fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress. Do not forget — The Biden Administration did not turn over a SINGLE file or page related to Democrat Epstein, nor did they ever even speak about him. Democrats have used the “Epstein” issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our AMAZING Victories, including THE GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TAX CUT BILL, Strong Borders, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, lowering Prices, Biggest Tax and Regulation Cuts in History, ending EIGHT Wars, rebuilding our Military, knocking out Iran’s Nuclear capability, getting Trillions of Dollars INVESTED in the U.S.A., creating the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World, and even delivering a HUGE DEFEAT to the Democrats on the recent Shutdown Disaster. For years our Great Nation has had to endure RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #1, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #2, and many other Democrat created Witch Hunts and Scams, all of which have been so terrible and divisive for our Country, and have been done to confuse, deflect, and distract from the GREAT JOB that Republicans, and the Trump Administration, are doing. This latest Hoax will backfire on the Democrats just as all of the rest have! Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
When CNN asked whether the president had received the bill or whether any timing had been set, officials did not respond.
“I have nothing to add today,” Miller told reporters when pressed for an update on the legislation.
Legislation that would force the release of federal files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is now only missing President Trump‘s signature. CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion has more.
President Donald Trump is expected to sign the Epstein files bill later today, a White House official told USA TODAY.
The bill had not arrived at the White House as of Wednesday afternoon.
Trump had not decided Tuesday when he would sign the measure, a White House official told CNN at the time. And a senior White House official also told CNN that “the bill will be signed whenever it gets to the White House.”
But by Wednesday, the White House remained silent as the bill awaits the president’s signature.
“No hiding, no game playing, no covering up,” he said, adding they would use “pressure to make sure the documents are released in their entirety and not warped by a corrupt DOJ who’s hell bent on hiding the truth, bending the law and protecting Trump.”
Asked about Republicans arguing that Democrats — and their donors — could also be in the files, Schumer replied, “We think every name should come out, everything, everything. There should be no cover up.”
Both the House and Senate unanimously passed a bill requiring the Justice Department to release its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, paving the way for the publication of thousands of documents.
The bill now awaits President Donald Trump‘s signature. If he vetoes the bill, it could be overridden by a two-thirds vote in the Senate.
Both chambers of Congress nearly unanimously passed a bill on Tuesday, Nov. 18, to compel the Justice Department to release as much information as possible about the late accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
The success of the measure, which will immediately go to President Donald Trump‘s desk, was a remarkable show of bipartisan force.
(today, 5:23 PM ET)
The Senate agreed by unanimous consent Tuesday to approve a House-passed bill to require the Justice Department to release all unclassified records and documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, sending the bill to President Trump’s desk for a signature.
The swift Senate action ends the protracted battle in Congress over the files, which caused months of turmoil in the House and gave Democrats political ammo to accuse Republicans of protecting rich and powerful people who participated in Epstein’s illicit activities.

I‘m speaking live from the floor of the U.S. Senate.
(today, 2:01 PM ET)
Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) said Tuesday that he will request unanimous consent on the Senate floor to “immediately” pass a bill to direct the Department of Justice to publicly release all unclassified files related to Jeffrey Epstein after the House approves the legislation.
“Once the House passes the bill to release the Epstein files today, I will move for the Senate to immediately take it up and pass it — period,” Schumer said in a statement.
Schumer is expected to take to the Senate floor Tuesday afternoon to make his request.
A Senate-passed bill without changes would go to President Donald Trump’s desk for his approval.
If the Senate were to amend it, the bill would moves to Trump’s desk after the Senate version was again passed by the House.
Trump has said he will sign the bill into law. But he could also change his mind and choose to veto the bill, which would then require a two-thirds vote to override the president’s veto. He could also decide not to act on the bill, allowing it to become law without his signature.

GOP senators argued earlier this year that Congress doesn’t have the authority to “dictate” how the Justice Department should handle the issue.
A source familiar with Republican discussions around the plan for this week said the GOP leadership is waiting to see how much support the bill gets in the House, which is expected to vote as soon as Tuesday.
“We’ll likely watch what the House does and make decisions after that,” the source said.
The Speaker also revealed he has spoken with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, saying the Senate is likely to slow things down and push amendments to ensure safeguards for victims before any release of the files.
House lawmakers passed a measure to compel the Justice Department to release Epstein-related materials in a near-unanimous vote Tuesday afternoon.
All Democrats and all but one Republican voted in favor. Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana was the sole Republican in opposition.
The House is set to vote on Tuesday, on a measure that would force the Justice Department to release all of its records on Jeffrey Epstein.
When is the House vote on the Epstein files?
The House vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act is expected to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at around 2 p.m. ET, according to an update from Rep. Katherine Clark, the minority whip.
