The Strait of Hormuz sees more than 21 million barrels of oil pass through daily, accounting for around 37 percent of global oil traffic.
Akbarzadeh said Iran was able to track vessels sailing under different flags using modern technologies, stressing that Tehran does not seek war but remains fully prepared for one.
„If a war is imposed on us, the response will be more decisive than ever,“ he said, adding that Iran’s defensive readiness, particularly in air defence, was „very high“.
He warned that neighbouring states were considered friendly, but would be treated as hostile if their airspace, land or territorial waters were used in an attack against Iran.
Iran has warned ships that it will conduct a live fire drill Sunday and Monday in the strait, which sees a fifth of all oil traded pass through the tight corridor between the Islamic Republic and Oman.

The deployment was officially a part of the Danish-led military exercise Arctic Endurance — which Copenhagen has said will continue „throughout large parts of the coming year.“
A few days after Trump announced that the United States would get Greenland „one way or the other“, eight European countries sent several dozen troops to Greenland, officially to prepare for the exercise.
Some have since departed, including a group of about 15 Germans and some Swedes, while others continue to arrive.
The arrival of the Lincoln CSG to the region follows a U.S. Air Force Central (AFCENT) announcement on Sunday that it will be conducting Agile Spartan, “a multi-day readiness exercise to demonstrate the ability to deploy, disperse, and sustain combat airpower across the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.” AFCENT told us that Agile Spartan is “part of its regular exercise schedule and not in response to current tensions.” However, the optics of the timing are hard to avoid.
As of January 26, 2026, the Lincoln is expected to be somewhere between the Bay of Bengal and the Gulf of Oman, but its exact distance from the Iranian coast remains a mystery.
France has already sent a small military contingent to Greenland and has plans to send sea, air and land forces, though the details remain unclear.
The officials told the Globe that, in an invasion scenario, US forces would overcome Canadian positions on land and at sea in as little as two days.
Because Canada does not have the military resources to resist the United States, the Canadian pushback would be shaped by an insurgency‑style campaign, including ambushes and „hit‑and‑run tactics,“ the report said.

Es gibt weltweit neun „Volcanic Ash Advisory Center“ VAACs. Doch diese sind Teil der Wetterbehörden der Staaten, in welchen sie stationiert sind.
Das „Volcanic Ash Advisory Center“ VAAC in London ist Teil des „Meteorologischen Büros“ („Met Office“). Das „Met Office“ wiederum ist eines von nur zwei weltweit existierenden „World Area Forecast Centers“ (WAFC), auf welches die ICAO in ihrem Ausweichplan Bezug nimmt. Das gesamte Wetterbüro („Met Office“) wiederum gehört zum britischen Verteidigungsministerium.
Laut der offiziellen Zuteilung der von der ICAO eingerichteten neun existierenden „Beratungszentren für Vulkanasche“ („Volcanic Ash Advisory Center“) ist für unseren Luftraum nicht das VAAC in London, sondern das VAAC in Toulouse zuständig.
Trotzdem bleiben hier in Mitteleuropa derzeit Zehntausende Menschen am Boden, treten Milliardenschäden auf, müssen Regierungen mit dem Zug fahren und spielt sich ein surreales Schauspiel Orwell´schen Ausmaßes ab, nur wegen der Computersimulation einer Abteilung des britischen Verteidigungsministeriums: dem „Volcanic Ash Advisory Center“ in London.
Keine Regierungsbehörde, nirgendwo, nicht die Europäische Raumfahrtagentur ESA, nicht das „Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt“ (DLR), nicht der deutsche Wetterdienst, keine Wissenschaftler oder Akademiker, keine der vielen finanziell überfinanzierten „Institute“ oder gar Parlamentarier taten in den letzten Tagen irgendetwas. Niemand. Alle saßen sie nur rum und erzählten Dreck.

Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers says the US Marine Corps 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) will be coming to this country to take part in military training exercises from November 16 to 21 with the local Defence Force.
His announcement came yesterday, one day after Attorney General John Jeremie told the UK’s Financial Times that the United States military is expected to intensify exercises in T&T.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Attorney General John Jeremie has reportedly told the Financial Times that US’ military exercises would intensify in T&T in the coming days, with members of the US 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit.
The report comes on the heels of the arrival of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, led by the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78)- the largest and most advanced aircraft carrier in the world- in Caribbean waters, as well as the US Department of War’s announcement of Operation ‘Southern Spear’.
MILITARY COMMANDERS have devised three specific courses of action to be taken in the event of any land strikes involving US forces and neighbouring Venezuela.
This follows a mandatory call-out of thousands of active soldiers, sailors and other personnel on October 31 to report for duty by 6 pm and a subsequent lockdown of all military installations.

The combination of a motion to extend the state of emergency for three months being debated in Parliament, media reports of an imminent strike to Venezuela, sparked a wave of anxiety in some parts of the country with some schools ending earlier and private businesses shutting their doors.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar later called for calm, vowing to keep the public informed of any major developments.
On October 31, Persad-Bissessar said she was unaware of reports that TT Defence Force (TTDF) personnel had been ordered to immediately return to base. She added she would find out and repeated her statement for people to remain calm in the face of reports which claimed US military strikes against targets in Venezuela were imminent.
Panday said, „The concern is that the head of the NSC should at least be aware of why the Defence Force was placed on high alert.“
She added if Persad-Bissessar genuinely did not know, „that raises serious questions about communication and coordination at the highest level of government, especially in a time of regional tension.“

The USS Gravely (DDG-107) will visit Trinidad and Tobago from October 26 to 30, mooring in Port of Spain, while the 22nd U.S. Marine Expeditionary Unit will train alongside the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force (TTDF) during the same week. The U.S. military services’ presence in Trinidad and Tobago is part of the longstanding cooperation between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago.

The PM said the Government welcomes the US Navy and Marine Corps for a “joint military training with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.”
Persad-Bissessar reiterated, “The Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs has stated that the USS Gravely (DDG-107) will visit Trinidad and Tobago from October 26 to 30, mooring in Port-of-Spain, while the 22nd US Marine Expeditionary Unit will conduct joint training exercises with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) during the same period.”

Container operations at the Port of Port-of-Spain will be suspended on several berths from October 26-30 to accommodate the USS Gravely (DDG-107), a United States Navy vessel scheduled to arrive here on Sunday.
This was confirmed last evening in a release by the Ministry of Caricom and Foreign Affairs, which also revealed that the 22nd US Marine Expeditionary Unit will conduct joint training with the T&T Defence Force (TTDF) during the same period.
The U.S. military flew a pair of supersonic, heavy bombers up to the coast of Venezuela on Thursday, a little over a week after another group of American bombers made a similar journey as part of a training exercise to simulate an attack.
The ministers directed an immediate expansion of intelligence-sharing through the Unified Military Command, integration of regional air operation centers, acceleration of the GCC’s joint early-warning system for ballistic missiles, and the update of collective defense plans.
They also approved joint exercises between air and missile defense centers within three months, to be followed by a live regional air drill.

Die Kommission
Auf dem langen Marsch der Institutionen in den 11. September gab es manchen großen Sprung nach vorn. Einen zentralen davon repräsentiert die unter Bill Clinton 1996 formierte „Kommission des Präsidenten zum Schutz kritischer Infrastruktur“. In der Kommission waren, fast schon klischeehaft, die Bausteine des heutigen imperialen Molochs, des „lebenden, atmenden Organismus“, „jeder Kontrolle entwachsen“, des “elektronischen Polizeistaates”, des “sicherheitsindustriellen Komplexes” vertreten, der fünf Jahre später durch den 11. September entfesselt und über die Welt herfallen sollte, obwohl er angeblich dafür gezüchtet worden war genau solche Attentate zu verhindern.
Neben den Konsortien AT&T (früher das landesweite Telefonmonopol Bell Company, s.o.) und dem vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg als „Computing Tabulating Recording Company“ gegründeten IBM Konzern saßen NSA, CIA, FBI, Militär, Pentagon, das Justizministerium, hochrangige Bürokraten des Präsidentenpalastes der heute „Weißes Haus“ genannt wird, die Zentralbank Fed, das Finanzministerium, das Transportministerium, das 1934 aus fünf Industrie-Vereinigungen verschmolzene Eisenbahn-Trust „Association of American Railroads“, das Handelsministerium, die Eliteuniversität in Georgetown, usw, usw.
Den Vorsitz hatte der 1925 geborene Robert T. Marsh, ein Vier-Sterne-General, bereits seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in der Air Force, später im Kalten Krieg als Stabsoffizier im Strategischen Kommando zuständig für die Infrastruktur gebunkerter Atomwaffen, sowie u.a. Leiter der Produktions- und Entwicklungsstätte elektronischer Systeme der Air Force auf der Luftwaffenbasis in Hanscom.
In ihrem am Oktober 1997 überreichten Bericht machte die Kommission eine endlose Reihe von „Empfehlungen“ für Gesetze, Behörden und Bestimmungen, sowie dazu gleich eine ebenso lange Reihe von Rechtsbegriffen bzw Definitionen, die später durch den Präsidenten eins zu eins umgesetzt wurden, u.a. in den geheimen Präsidentenbefehlen PDD 62 und PDD 63.
Bereits zu diesem Zeitpunkt, in 1997, betonte die Kommission:
„Wir müssen unser neues Denken der Cyber-Dimension anpassen. .. Mit das Wichtigste ist zu erkennen, dass die Besitzer und Betreiber unserer kritischen Infrastruktur nun an den Frontlinien unserer Sicherheitsbemühungen stehen. Sie sind diejenigen, die gegenüber Cyber-Attacken am Verwundbarsten sind. Und diese Verwundbarkeit setzt unsere Nationale Sicherheit, unsere globale wirtschaftliche Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und unser heimisches Wohlergehen auf´s Spiel.
Es ist in diesem Sinne, dass wir unseren Bericht vorstellen.“
Leider ist die nächste Seite des Berichts „absichtlich leer gelassen“. So ganz öffentlich war der Bericht nicht.
Ebenfalls in weiser Voraussicht formulierte die „Kommission des Präsidenten zum Schutz kritischer Infrastruktur“:
„Das Transportministerium hat den Gesetzentwurf H.R. 1720, Surface Transportation Safety Act of 1997, übermittelt, der entworfen wurde um Passagiere und Angestellte in Schienenverkehr und Massentransportsystemen und die Bewegungen von Fracht durch Schienenverkehr vor terroristischen Angriffen / Terroranschlägen („terrorist attacks“) zu beschützen. Die Kommission empfiehlt diesem Gesetzentwurf starke Unterstützung durch Administration und Kongress zu geben.“
Eine „kritische“ (entscheidende, „critical“) Infrastruktur im Transport-Sektor definierte die Präsidentenkommission als
„charakterisiert durch das physische Vertriebs (Beförderungs-)system, das kritisch ist in der Unterstützung der Nationalen Sicherheit und dem ökonomischen Wohlergehen dieser Nation, eingeschlossen das nationale Luftraumsystem, Fluglinien und Flugzeuge, und Flughäfen.“
Auch was die Sicherheit im Flugverkehr anging, sprach man, vier Jahre vor 9/11, schon durchaus miteinander.
„Mehrere Bundesbehörden stellen Besitzern und Betreibern von Infrastruktur Information(en) zur Verfügung. Das ´Awareness of National Security Issues and Response´ (ANSIR) Programm des FBI gibt über 25.000 Mitgliedern der Industrie Auskunft („information“), die Einblicke in Bedrohung und Verwundbarkeit gibt. Enger gefasste Programme sind die Benachrichtigung des Transportministeriums über terroristische Bedrohungen an die zivile Luftfahrtindustrie und die informationssicherheitsbezogene Verwundbarkeits-Einschätzung („INFOSEC Vulnerability Assessment“) der National Security Agency, das informationssystem-bezogene Daten Partnern im privaten Sektor zur Verfügung stellt.“
Dem Transportministerium und seiner Luftfahrtbehörde FAA („Federal Aviation Administration“) konstatierte die Präsidentenkommission in 1997:
„Die Sicherheit (in) der zivilen Luftfahrt bleibt die erste Priorität und der Schwerpunkt des Transportministeriums. Die FAA hat die Verantwortung und die Autorität Notfallmaßnahmen für Luftfahrtunternehmen und Flughäfen anzufordern, um schnell und effektiv mit unmittelbaren Bedrohungen gegen die zivile Luftfahrt umzugehen.“
Aber:
„Das Luftfahrtkontrollsystem der FAA basiert auf Jahrzehnte alter Technologie. Das Ersatzsystem, obwohl zweifellos effizienter, wird verwundbarer sein, wenn keine speziellen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen eingefügt werden.“
Und deshalb:
„Empfehlen wir: Die Bundesluftfahrtbehörde (FAA) handelt sofort darin, ein umfassendes Nationales Luftraum-Sicherheitsprogramm zu entwickeln, etablieren, finanzieren und zu implementieren, um das modernisierte Nationale Luftraum-System vor informations-basierten und anderen Störungen, Eindringungen („intrusions“) und Angriffen zu beschützen. Umsetzung durch Programm sollte geleitet sein von den Empfehlungen, die man im ´Vulnerability Assessment of the FAA National Airspace System Architecture´ findet, die für diese Kommission vorbereitet wurde.“
Man empfahl dem Präsidenten also etwas, was einem empfohlen worden war.

With six Eurofighters and around 160 soldiers, the Air Force, under the leadership of the Tactical Air Force Squadron 31 „Boelcke“, takes part in the multinational air force exercise Blue Flag in Israel. be practiced air operations in a multinational group. In addition to the Israeli hosts, the air forces of the USA, India, Great Britain, France, Greece and Italy are also involved. With its open air space and its topography, which is largely below sea level, Israel offers the best training conditions for our pilots.
