Der Fall „Curveball“: Wie ein BND-Informant den Irak-Krieg auslöste
(28.8.2011)
Israel‘s nuclear capabilities – 25 Oct 09
While Israel is one of the loudest voices calling for a tougher line on Iran‘s nuclear programme, its own nuclear capability has never been put to inspection.
Israel has two nuclear research centres – at Dimona and Soreq. The latest estimates suggest that Israel has produced at least 118 warheads with weapons grade plutonium.
The Jericho ballistic missiles are capable of carrying such weapons.

The National Organizing Committee is an interim representative body that will be seated prior to the formation of the National Committee. Once elected, the National Committee will take the place of the National Coordinators’ Circle as the leadership body of the National People’s Party.

House Democrats call on Biden to close Guantánamo ‚once and for all‘
The letter was organized by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Reps. David Price (D-N.C.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn). Among the co-signers are several committee chairmen, including Foreign Affairs Chairman Gregory Meek (D-N.Y.), Armed Services Chairman Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.)
He is one of only 39 detainees left at Guantanamo. Once tortured, prisoner‘s case is a test of larger political realities at play.
His quest for freedom is forcing the Biden administration to consider whether to release the 45-year-old man whose attorneys say is severely mentally ill battling schizophrenia, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of his torture or seek to hold him indefinitely without charging him with a crime.
Al-Qahtani‘s case, experts say, stands as a litmus test for whether President Joe Biden is committed to his pledge to shutter the controversial facility — an enduring symbol of the George W. Bush administration‘s global „war on terror“ that persisted through the Barack Obama and Donald Trump presidencies.
