Zelenskyy offers to drop NATO bid for security guarantees but rejects US push to cede territory
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday voiced readiness to drop his country’s bid to join NATO in exchange for Western security guarantees, but rejected the U.S. push for ceding territory to Russia as he held talks with U.S. envoys on ending the war.

US hails ‚progress made‘ in peace talks with Zelensky, set to continue in Berlin on Dec. 15

Lawmakers see video of second strike on boat survivors, say admiral testified there was no kill order
GOP Sen. Tom Cotton, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Jim Himes, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, spoke with reporters after the briefings. They both said Bradley told them that he had not been ordered to leave no survivors. The initial Post report quoted an anonymous source as saying that, before the first strike, Hegseth verbally ordered that everyone on the boat be taken out. „The order was to kill everybody,“ the Post‘s story quoted the source as saying. Hegseth has denied the Post‘s account.
Air strikes and shelling continue in Gaza
The UN has called for an investigation into the recent “horrific” killing by Israeli forces of two young brothers in Gaza who were reportedly targeted by a drone while collecting firewood.
This comes as humanitarians continue to receive reports that air strikes, shelling, gunfire and other continuing Israeli military operations in the enclave are causing more civilian casualties, displacement and destruction.
In recent days, hundreds of families were reportedly displaced in two neighbourhoods in eastern Gaza City following strikes and movement of military equipment, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told journalists in New York on Wednesday.
He was asked about the killing of the boys, which occurred on Saturday.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged the strike in a post on social media, saying troops had identified two terrorists crossing the ‘yellow line’ in northern Gaza, thus posing an immediate threat to them.
The incident was “horrific, to say the least,” Mr. Dujarric said.
“It‘s hard to see how two boys, eight and 10, can be considered a threat. And there needs to be an investigation and accountability into what happened.”

Dennis rejects US radar on Tobago

That was the message from PNM Tobago political leader Ancil Dennis in a video posted to social media as he rejected the US military radar now spinning at the ANR Robinson International Airport.
Dennis told Tobagonians the device was brought in without proper explanation and said the Government must “carry it back to Trinidad.”

Sen. Mark Kelly: Trump and Hegseth don‘t ‚understand the Constitution‘

Death Sentence for Palestinians in Custody | New Report and Testimonies
Our latest report reveals that over the past two years, up to August 2025, at least 94 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention facilities. Yet, the report stresses that this unprecedented figure likely represents only a portion of the full death toll. Given the Israeli military’s practice of enforced disappearances since October 2023, the actual number of deaths may be considerably higher. Moreover, since the report was completed, four more Palestinians have died in the past month alone, pushing the total close to triple digits – deaths caused by the systemic denial of medical care and the torture of Palestinians in Israeli custody. These policies persist even now, despite the ceasefire in Gaza.
The report is based on 94 documented cases between October 7, 2023, and August 2025. This unprecedented toll, together with extensive findings and evidence of deaths caused by torture and medical neglect, points to a deliberate Israeli policy of killing Palestinians in custody.
At least 46 Palestinians died in Israel Prison Service (IPS) facilities, and 52 more died in military custody.

US Marines touch down for military exercises with T&T Defence Force …To train in urban, rural areas across the country
Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers says the US Marine Corps 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) will be coming to this country to take part in military training exercises from November 16 to 21 with the local Defence Force.
