Lesley Groff, ex-Epstein assistant, denies knowledge of his crimes to the House Oversight Committee

Lesley Groff, Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime assistant, denied knowledge of her former boss’s crimes in her transcribed interview with the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, the latest witness to testify in the panel’s sprawling Epstein investigation.

“I never saw anything improper,” Groff told members of the committee, a source familiar with the matter told MS NOW.

Groff, who worked for Epstein for nearly 20 years until he was arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges, began her testimony before the Republican-led committee around 10 a.m. ET.

Inside Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle — the aides, lawyers and confidantes who ran his world

Together, the names of those in Epstein’s inner circle appear thousands of times across the newly released files. Though they haven’t had the same level of scrutiny that more famous people who appear in the files have received, that may start to change. Over the coming months, several of them are scheduled to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee.

Richard Kahn, Epstein’s longtime accountant, and Darren Indyke, his personal attorney, both of whom are co-executors of Epstein’s estate, are slated to testify on March 11 and March 19. Lesley Groff, Epstein’s executive assistant, was asked by the committee to appear on June 9.

Federal Authorities Mapped Out Epstein’s Inner Circle

The document featured photos and names of a number of well-known people in Mr. Epstein’s orbit, including his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell; his lawyer Darren Indyke; his accountant Richard Kahn; his financial adviser Harry Beller; his longtime assistant Lesley Groff; and Jean-Luc Brunel, who died by suicide in a French jail after being charged with rape.

The names and faces of several other people, described as Mr. Epstein’s employees or girlfriends, were redacted in the document.

Of all the people depicted or referred to in the chart, only Ms. Maxwell was ever charged with helping Mr. Epstein engage in the sex trafficking of teenage girls
