Richard Kahn, Epstein‘s accountant and confidant, to testify to House committee today

Documents released in lawsuits and among the Epstein files — millions of documents the Department of Justice released after Congress passed an act mandating it to do so — show a sophisticated and tangled web of businesses operated by the trio.

After Kahn and Indyke were subpoenaed in January, an attorney for the men, Daniel H. Weiner, said in a statement to CBS News that allegations against them are „false.“

Inside Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle — the aides, lawyers and confidantes who ran his world

Together, the names of those in Epstein’s inner circle appear thousands of times across the newly released files. Though they haven’t had the same level of scrutiny that more famous people who appear in the files have received, that may start to change. Over the coming months, several of them are scheduled to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee.

Richard Kahn, Epstein’s longtime accountant, and Darren Indyke, his personal attorney, both of whom are co-executors of Epstein’s estate, are slated to testify on March 11 and March 19. Lesley Groff, Epstein’s executive assistant, was asked by the committee to appear on June 9.

Who is Boris Nikolic? Epstein-named executor is former Bill Gates adviser

(August 20, 2019)

Epstein, the financier and convicted sex offender, signed a will detailing nearly $600 million in assets just two days before he killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell. In the will, he named biotech venture capitalist Boris Nikolic as „successor executor,“ the person who would take control of the estate if the two named executors are unable or unwilling to.

(…)

Court records show the two executors, Darren K. Indyke and Richard D. Kahn, each signed an oath confirming their willingness to serve as executor. But no such oath was filed by Nikolic.

(January 23, 2026)

Jeffrey Epstein‘s inner circle, Les Wexner, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, were formally issued subpoenas Friday to testify before the House Oversight Committee, as key associates of the convicted sex offender.

„Oversight Democrats fought hard to get these subpoenas and forced the vote on Republicans. Now, the Committee will hear directly from the individuals most closely involved in Epstein‘s inner circle. We will not stop until we get answers,“ Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said in a statement.

Federal Authorities Mapped Out Epstein’s Inner Circle

The document featured photos and names of a number of well-known people in Mr. Epstein’s orbit, including his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell; his lawyer Darren Indyke; his accountant Richard Kahn; his financial adviser Harry Beller; his longtime assistant Lesley Groff; and Jean-Luc Brunel, who died by suicide in a French jail after being charged with rape.

The names and faces of several other people, described as Mr. Epstein’s employees or girlfriends, were redacted in the document.

Of all the people depicted or referred to in the chart, only Ms. Maxwell was ever charged with helping Mr. Epstein engage in the sex trafficking of teenage girls
