Kyiv on Saturday launched an attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, an incident which Tehran said left one sailor dead and injured several others. The Islamic Republic has threatened retaliation over the strike, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying via social media that it âCANNOT GO UNANSWERED.â
In a post on X on Saturday, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had âachieved very strong results with longârange strikes in the Caspian Sea â including vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran, as well as a warship.â

Mit Russland könne die Ukraine, so Drapatyj, keinen Kompromiss finden. âAm Ende des Kampfes um unsere UnabhĂ€ngigkeit muss unser Sieg stehen. Ein Sieg ohne Kompromisse.â (24:34)
Vorbereitung fĂŒr den Ausnahmezustand
âDer Zustimmungsfall wird dann relevant, wenn der Bundestag einzelne Regelungen in Kraft setzen will, die im Spannungsfall gelten wĂŒrden, aber den Spannungsfall insgesamt noch nicht ausrufen willâ, sagt Hegemann. FĂŒr diese einzelnen Regeln reicht dann wie bei regulĂ€ren Gesetzen grundsĂ€tzlich eine einfache Mehrheit im Parlament.
Das geplante BND-Gesetz formuliert fĂŒr alle drei FĂ€lle Regeln. Vor allem aber Ă€ndert es den Mechanismus, wie der Zustimmungsfall fĂŒr das BND-Gesetz ausgelöst werden kann. Das soll sich am Zustimmungsfall aus dem Grundgesetz âorientierenâ, aber umgeht dabei das Plenum des Bundestags.
An die Stelle eines regulĂ€ren parlamentarischen Verfahrens soll nĂ€mlich ein Vorschlag der Bundesregierung treten, dem das Parlamentarische Kontrollgremium zustimmen mĂŒsste. Dann könnten einzelne oder alle Regelungen des Gesetzes zum Spannungs- und Verteidigungsfall âfreigeschaltetâ werden. Dass der Bundestag als Ganzes dabei auĂen vor bliebe, hat noch einen weiteren Effekt: âEine Veröffentlichung ist nicht vorgesehen.

The Iranian diplomat added that in calls with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Kaja Kallas, the EUâs top foreign policy official, he âmade clear that what the freeloader in Kyiv did CANNOT GO UNANSWERED.â
The attack on the Iranian ship comes as Ukraine continues escalating its long-range drone attacks against Russia, which are carried out using intelligence provided by the US, and have been targeting Russian oil tankers and refineries, and have also been killing a significant number of civilians.
Turkmenistan condemns attack on vessel in Caspian Sea
„Turkmenistan, as a Caspian state and a country with the status of permanent neutrality recognized by the United Nations, emphasizes that the Caspian is a sea of peace, friendship and good-neighborliness,“ the ministry said.
The ministry stressed that any actions threatening stability and security in the Caspian Sea are unacceptable, reiterating Turkmenistan‘s longstanding position that the region should remain an area of peaceful cooperation.
