US marines arrive on Yemen’s Socotra to support UAE forces

According to the sources, on 21 December of last year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the UN-recognised, exiled Yemeni government of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi to lease the entire island to the UAE for a period of about 95 years. Saudi and Emirati forces began to arrive on the island in April 2018, the Saudi deployment was reportedly coordinated with the Yemeni government, whilst the UAE arrived without prior coordination with the Saudi-backed Yemeni authorities.

Turkish FM calls for US Patriot missiles as support in Idlib

Çavuşoğlu made the comments to reporters Saturday after a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the Qatari capital Doha.

Çavuşoğlu also said that the Bashar Assad regime must immediately stop the aggression in Idlib.

Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel hat am (heutigen) Montag die deutsch geführte Brigade besucht, die in diesem Jahr die Führung der Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), der schnellen Speerspitze der NATO stellt. Nun ist diese VJTF zwar eine multinationale Angelegenheit, aber im Kern war’s schon der Besuch der Kanzlerin beim Deutschen Heer in Munster, wie schon die – rein deutsche? – hochrangige Begleitung von Generalinspekteur Eberhard Zorn und Heeresinspekteur Jörg Vollmer zeigte.
