Interpol.
Reconstruct the Joint List Now
The formation of the joint ticket has been delayed by disagreements over who should occupy the 11th through 14th slots on the slate (Jack Khoury, Monday). But if they canât bridge these gaps and reunite as the Joint List, those slots are likely to be irrelevant in any case.
Strengthening Arab representation in the legislature and toppling the government are necessary conditions for fighting the Netanyahu-led coalition that passed the nation-state law. This isnât the time for unnecessary quarrels or disputes that can be resolved after the election. The Israeli voter rewards political mergers. The Joint List must be promptly reconstituted.
One of Israel‘s Most Effective Politicians Just Quit, Proving Labor‘s at the End of the Road
The fact that Shelly Yacimovich, a leader and symbol of Labor for the last decade and a half, has decided to take a break from politics is another sign of the desperate condition of the party as another election approaches. âI canât do it anymore,â she wrote, paraphrasing Menachem Begin. But it isnât just her. The Labor Party itself canât do it any more, not on its own.
Massive DEMOCRATIC SHOUT out to .@SarahChampionMP @CarolineFlintMP @EmmaLewellBuck all formerly #Remain Labour MP‘s who respect the outcome of the referendum-now saying if necessary no deal over no Brexit. Great people. #RESPECTINGTHEVOTE #Labour #Democrats #BrexitChampions
OK @labourlewis @yanisvaroufakis @paulmasonnews @Another_Europe @lloyd_rm @LoveSocialism what is the plan to reform the EU? EU treaties codify neoliberalism, ECB is run by an IMF chief, Commission led by a warmonger. EU âsocialistsâ are propping up right-wingers. Whatâs the plan
For those asking, here is LP‘s weasily apologetics for voting to endorse an unpopular conservative politician. Not inspiring #vonderLeyen :
All 10 Labour MEPs voted for Ursula von der Leyen to be President of the EU Commission. Her margin of victory was nine votes.
You canât change a corrupt system by taking its money. Today I am calling on every Democratic candidate to join us in rejecting money from the insurance and drug industries. #MedicareForAll
CNN Poll: Biden, Sanders and Warren top the 2020 Democratic field in New Hampshire
Overall, 24% say they back Biden, while 19% each support Sanders and Warren. The five-point margin between Biden and the two senators matches the survey‘s margin of sampling error.
Behind this top tier, 10% support South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and 9% back California Sen. Kamala Harris. New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and former Texas congressman Beto O‘Rourke each registered 2% in the poll.

Anti-Defamation League Director: Trumpâs Comments Are Dangerous | Velshi & Ruhle | MSNBC
President Trump continues his racist rants against four Congresswomen of color while continuously insisting heâs not a racist. Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle speak with the National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, about why Trumpâs comments arenât just awful, but dangerous.
So great to see how unified the Republican Party was on todayâs vote concerning statements I made about four Democrat Congresswomen. If you really want to see statements, look at the horrible things they said about our Country, Israel, and much more.
They are now the top, most… ….visible members of the House Democrats, who are now wedded to this bitterness and hate. The Republican vote was 187-4. Wow! Also, this was the first time since 1984 that the Speaker of the House was ruled Out of Order and broke the Rules of the House. Quite a day!
Letâs be very clear: @realDonaldTrumpâs tweets were racist. Persist, @SpeakerPelosi. Persist. #shepersisted
House votes against striking Pelosi remarks from record
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) took to Twitter to note Pelosi would not be able to speak on the floor for the remainder of the day after failing to comply with House rules.
âBREAKING NEWS â> Speaker Pelosi just broke the rules of the House, and is no longer permitted to speak on the floor of the House for the rest of the day,â he tweeted.
But McCarthy‘s tweet ultimately proved to be premature.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) requested Pelosi‘s speaking privileges be restored immediately after the vote to strike her comments from the record failed on the floor.
Rep Cleaver Abandons Chair While Presiding US House
Democratic Congressman Emanuel Cleaver abandons the chair while presiding in the House of Representatives over dysfunction among Democrats and Republicans.
âI abandon the chairâ: House floor in chaos over Pelosi speech on Trump tweets
âWe donât ever, ever, want to pass up an opportunity, it seems, to escalate. And thatâs what this is,â he added, referring to Republicans‘ motion to strike Pelosi‘s remarks. âI dare anybody to look at any of the footage and see if there was any unfairness, but unfairness is not enough because we want to just fight.â
Cleaverâs decision to abandon the chair appeared unprecedented, at least in recent history.

McConnell says Trump is not a racist, but calls for better rhetoric
âWeâve seen the far left throw accusations of racism at everyone, anyone who disagrees with them on anything, including the Speaker of the House,â he noted, referring to the claim by Ocasio-Cortez last week that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had singled out minority women lawmakers for criticism.
âFrom the president, to the Speaker, to freshmen members of the House, all of us have the responsibility to elevate the public discourse,â he said, addressing his comments to Trump as well as members of Congress.
Mitch McConnell sidesteps question about his wife, who‘s an immigrant
Asked if he would consider it a racist attack if someone told his wife Elaine Chao â who is the US Secretary of Transportation and an immigrant and naturalized US citizen â to go back to her own country, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sidestepped the question and talked about his support for legal immigration.

House Condemns Trumpâs Attack on Four Congresswomen as Racist
The measure, the first House rebuke of a president in more than 100 years, passed nearly along party lines, 240 to 187, after one of the most polarizing exchanges on the floor in recent times. Only four Republicans and the Houseâs lone independent, Representative Justin Amash of Michigan, voted with all Democrats to condemn the president.
The EU is unreformable
âRemain and Reform.â Thatâs been the mantra of the anti-Brexit left and second-referendum campaigners since the UKâs historic vote to leave the EU. Now that the Labour Party has shamefully turned its back on Brexit and is campaigning for the overthrow of the largest democratic vote in UK history, it has been forced to adopt a Remain and Reform agenda.
