Aluf Avichai Mandelblit (Hebrew: אביחי מנדלבליט; born 29 June 1963) is an Israeli jurist who currently serves as the Attorney General of Israel. Mandelblit had a long career in the Israel Defense Forces legal system, eventually serving as the Chief Military Advocate General between 2004 and 2011. On April 2013 he was appointed Cabinet Secretary.[1] In February 2016, he was appointed Attorney General.
Twitter Network Uses Fake Accounts to Promote Netanyahu, Israel Watchdog Finds
An Israeli watchdog group has found a network of hundreds of social media accounts, many of them fake, used to smear opponents of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in next week’s election and to amplify the messages of his Likud party, according to a report to be released Monday.
The messages posted on the network’s Twitter and Facebook accounts are frequently reposted by prominent Likud campaign officials and by the prime minister’s son, Yair Netanyahu, the report says.

According to the findings of the Big Bots Project, this network has posted more than 130,000 times in Hebrew on Facebook and Twitter – posts that have had 2.5 million hits in Israel. These posts have the sole purpose of praising Netanyahu and spreading false information about his rivals, primarily his main challenger Benny Gantz, the former IDF chief who leads the Blue and White Party.

In 2015, the Obama administration declared Venezuela a national security threat, following months of protests and subsequent government repression. That declaration opened the door for sanctions against individuals in the Maduro government. The administration’s logic was that economic pressure would encourage military defection and compel the regime either to democratize or collapse, but neither happened.

The foreign minister of Brazil, Ernesto Araújo, says that the Russian military must leave Venezuela, if its purpose is to maintain Nicolás Maduro in the government.
In a telephone interview with the British news agency Reuters , Araújo has said he expects Russia to recognize that supporting Maduro will only deepen the collapse of Venezuela’s economy and society, and that the only way out of the crisis is to hold elections under an interim government, led by the opposition Juan Guaidó.
