A statement by the Army added that the pilot was captured after ejecting over western Iran.
With this latest downing, Iran has neutralized three F-35 fighter jets since Israel began its aggression on Friday. Of the two others, one pilot is believed liquidated, and another too captured by Iranian forces.
On Monday night, the Russian invaders launched nine X-101 air-launched cruise missiles over Ukraine, as well as 355 Shahed strike UAVs and imitator drones of various types, the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
„As of 11:00, air defenses shot down all nine X-101 cruise missiles, neutralized 288 enemy Shahed UAVs and drones of other types in the east, north, south, west and center of the country. Some 233 were shot down by fire weapons, and 55 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare,“ the report said.

There were no reports of casualties or injuries as a result of the hits.
„As of 8:30 a.m., the air defense shot down six Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (Kyiv) and neutralized 245 enemy Shahed UAVs (drones of other types) in the east, north, south and center of the country. Some 128 were shot down by fire weapons, 117 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (without negative consequences),“ the report says.
In total, on the night of May 24 (from 20:30 on May 23), the enemy launched an attack on Ukraine using 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, attacking Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Zaporizhia regions, and also launched 250 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of drone imitators at Ukraine, primarily at Kyiv.
Most modern domestically developed Chinese platforms have not yet been battle-tested, said Eric Zhu, a defence analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. “So having the combat record is a plus for their export potential.”
While Indian sources have disputed some aspects of these claims, the market response was immediately felt. A high-ranking French intelligence official told CNN today that one Rafale fighter jet operated by the Indian Air Force was downed by Pakistan, in what would mark the first time that one of the sophisticated French-made warplanes has been lost in combat.
Pakistan claimed earlier today to have shot down five Indian Air Force jets in retaliation for Indian strikes, including three Rafales. Indian officials are yet to respond to the claim.
In attacks at six various locations, 26 Pakistanis were martyred and 46 were injured.
He Masjid Bilal near Muzaffarabad was targeted by Indian aggression, resulting in death of three civilians. A mosque in Muridke was also targeted, where 3 men lost their lives and one injured, while in Kotli, a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy were martyred. However, there have been no reports of casualties from Sialkot and Shakargarh.
The DG ISPR added 13 people were martyred in a cowardly attack in Ahmedpur Sharqia.
Pakistan claimed it shot down several Indian fighter jets in retaliation as two planes fell onto villages in India-controlled Kashmir. At least seven civilians were also killed in the region by Pakistani shelling, Indian police and medics said.
Tensions have soared between the nuclear-armed neighbors since the attack, which India has blamed Pakistan for backing. Islamabad has denied the accusation.

The Times of Israel reported that the aircraft, believed to be transporting weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon or Syria, was intercepted over Iraq. Israeli forces reportedly acted on suspicions that the plane was carrying arms intended for the Iran-aligned resistance group.

The Israeli army on Saturday hacked into the control tower of Beirut‘s Rafic Hariri International Airport, issuing threats against an Iranian civilian aircraft attempting to land, according to official sources.
The Lebanese Ministry of Transport instructed airport authorities to prevent the Iranian plane from entering Lebanese airspace following Israeli threats to target the aircraft if it landed at the airport.

The U.S. Air Force MQ-9 was likely downed by an Iranian-provided surface-to-air missile fired by an Iranian-affiliated Iraqi group, U.S. officials said. The MQ-9 was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, the anti-ISIS mission, a senior U.S. military official added.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Iraqi militias supported by Tehran, claimed that it shot down the MQ-9 over Diyala Province after it took off from Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

“Nothing right now suggests they were related to China’s spy balloon program or that they were surveillance vehicles from any other country,” Biden said. “The intelligence community’s current assessment is that these three objects were most likely balloons tied to private companies, recreation or research institutions studying weather or conducting other scientific research.”
Biden also said there was no evidence of a sudden increase in the number of aerial objects, saying the United States was finding more of them because of radar adjustments.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kyiv and Kyiv region. All possible versions of the helicopter accident are considered.
The case is under the personal control of the Prosecutor General.
Another Orlan-10 drone was destroyed in Kyiv region during a missile attack. The invaders planned to use the UAV to carry out aerial reconnaissance and identify the positions of the Ukrainian air defense.
„Therefore, we urge citizens not to publish data on shelling, the positions of our air defense systems and other sensitive information that the enemy will definitely use for subsequent attacks,“ the message says.
