Footage surfaced showing Iranian ballistic missiles flying over Amman, Jordanâs capital, reportedly targeting a U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia.
The deaths bring the number of US service members who have died in the nearly five-month conflict to 16, according to the US militaryâs defense casualty analysis system.
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, Seyed Majid Mousavi, announced that Iran will continue attacks „until calm returns to the southern coastline and the Strait of Hormuzâ, according to Al Jazeera‘s reports of Iranian state media.
The statement comes as the IRGC has claimed responsibility for attacks on US military targets in Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, and Syria, Al Jazeera reports.
The ministry stressed the importance of achieving a permanent agreement that would reinforce security and stability in the region, while taking into account the security interests of regional countries and adhering to the principles of good-neighborliness, respect for sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs.
It also highlighted the importance of restoring security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to the situation that existed before February 28, 2026 [when the war began].
AMMAN â The air defence systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft intercepted and shot down 20 missiles launched from Iran towards Al Azraq in Zarqa early Thursday, a military source said.
The source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed ForcesâArab Army, said that the interception operation resulted in the fall of missile debris in several locations, with no injuries or property damage reported.

Iranâs envoy condemned military strikes against Iran and warned that continued aggression threatens regional and global stability. He urged the international community to uphold international law and the UN Charter while emphasizing that Iran will defend its sovereignty and people if attacks continue. âAccordingly, we do not recognize the Councilâs action today. Similar views have been echoed by ministers within Netanyahu‘s government.
Last year, in a documentary, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich was filmed advocating for the expansion of Israeli borders to include Damascus.

This is a continuation of the Kingdom‘s joint humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinians amid the difficult circumstances facing the Gaza Strip.
A Jordanian citizen stranded in Gaza with his family, condemned the Jordanian government and foreign ministry for their failure to evacuate his family from the besieged strip amid ongoing war and humanitarian collapse. His plea came after his son, Hisham Mundhir Fusifis, was killed while attempting to obtain food for his starving siblings at the US aid points.
Therefore, although it is still too early to disclose the full extent of Arab involvement, there are indications that Israel operated over the airspace of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria â the latter likely without its knowledge or consent.
Jordanian fighter jets intercepted Iranian drones over Jordanian territory.
It is also reasonable to assume that the regional air system, established following the Abraham Accords and Israelâs inclusion in the US Central Command (CENTCOM) â known as the Middle East Air Defense â was activated to intercept Iranian drones, as it was during Iranâs two previous attacks in April and October 2024.
