Israel’s suspension of numerous aid agencies from Gaza is outrageous.
This is the latest in a pattern of unlawful restrictions on humanitarian access, including Israel’s ban on UNRWA (the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East), as well as attacks on Israeli and Palestinian NGOs amid broader access issues faced by the UN and other humanitarians.
I urge all States, in particular those with influence, to take urgent steps and insist that Israel immediately allows aid to get into Gaza unhindered. Such arbitrary suspensions make an already intolerable situation even worse for the people of Gaza.
Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of UNRWA, says Israel’s suspension of 37 aid organisations in Gaza shows “a troubling pattern of disregard for international humanitarian law”.
“This is a dangerous precedent,” Lazzarini wrote on social media platform X…..
Israel has singled out international medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF), alleging that it had two employees who were members of Palestinian militant groups Islamic Jihad and Hamas
„They refuse to provide lists of their Palestinian employees because they know, just as we know, that some of them are involved in terrorism or linked to Hamas,“ spokesman for the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, Gilad Zwick told AFP, naming 37 NGOs that had so far failed to meet the new requirements

Zelenskiy said in his WhatsApp chat that a U.S. troop presence in Ukraine would be a major security boost for Kyiv.
„Of course, we are discussing this with President Trump and with representatives of the (Western) coalition (supporting Kyiv). We want this. We would like this. This would be a strong position of the security guarantees,“ he said.
The White House had no comment on the issue of dispatching U.S. troops to Ukraine under any peace settlement with Russia.
Russia is sabotaging peace talks in Ukraine with false claims, while bombing civilians, leaving them without electricity and heating. This is not the behavior of a country seeking peace. President Maia Sandu has conveyed a message to this effect.
The head of state said that Ukraine continued to defend itself and seek peace.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu stressed that it was the Russian Federation that attacked Ukraine and is sabotaging peace talks, while Ukrainians are participating in the peace plan developed under the mediation of the United States.
„Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine defends itself and seeks peace, engaging in good faith in a US-brokered peace plan. Russia sabotages peace talks with false claims while bombing civilians, leaving them without power and heat. This is not the behavior of a country that seeks peace,“ she wrote on the social network X.

Saudi Arabia accused the UAE, its close ally, of “highly dangerous” actions in Yemen that threatened its national security. It said it had launched “limited” airstrikes on Mukalla on Tuesday morning and backed a call for UAE forces to leave Yemen within 24 hours.
The UAE initially rejected the accusations and expressed surprise at the strikes, but the country’s defense ministry later announced that, “in view of recent developments,” it would voluntarily withdraw the remaining “counterterrorism” units it had in Yemen.
The bombing followed tensions over the advance of Emirates-backed separatist forces known as the Southern Transitional Council. The council and its allies issued a statement supporting the UAE’s presence, even as others allied with Saudi Arabia demanded that Emirati forces withdraw from Yemen in 24 hours’ time.
The UAE called for “restraint and wisdom” and disputed Riyadh’s allegations. But shortly after that, it said it would withdraw its remaining troops in Yemen.
President Volodymyr Zelensky on Dec. 30 called out India, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries that condemned the so-called „Ukrainian assassination attempt on Vladimir Putin“ while largely turning a blind eye to Russian mass attacks on Ukrainian cities.
„It is confusing and unpleasant that some countries, like India, the UAE, and a few others, condemned what they claim were our drone strikes on Putin’s residence — which didn’t even happen,“ Zelensky said during an online press conference with Ukrainian journalists.
„Where is their condemnation of the fact that our children are being bombed and people are being killed all this time? I don’t hear India, frankly, nor the United Arab Emirates.“
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with President Trump yesterday in Mar-a-Lago to discuss how the Gaza ceasefire plan will move into the next phase. (…)
Trump said he was angry yesterday after Putin informed him about the alleged attack. Trump also acknowledged that no one has independently confirmed the incident.
Speaking during his meeting in Florida with Netanyahu, Trump said he believed a pardon was on the way: “How can you not?” he said. “He’s a wartime prime minister who’s a hero. How do you not give a pardon?”
(…)
“There has not been a conversation between President Herzog and President Trump since the pardon request was submitted,” Herzog’s office said in a statement issued just a few minutes after Trump’s comments.
„The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action,“ the spokesperson said. „He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed.“
The spokesperson added that Walz has „hired an outside firm to audit payments to high-risk programs, shut down the Housing Stabilization Services program entirely, announced a new statewide program integrity director, and supported criminal prosecutions.“

In addition to the DHS investigations, state officials also visited some of the sites on Monday. (…)
CBS News visited and called several of the day care centers on Monday but received no responses.

We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.

Thanks to the leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, we are acting fast to ensure Americans’ taxes are not funding acts of global terror.
We will share our findings as our investigation continues.

Minnesota is drowning in fraud. Billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen during the administration of Governor Tim Walz alone. Democratic state officials, overseeing one of the most generous welfare regimes in the country, are asleep at the switch. And the media, duty-bound by progressive pieties, refuse to connect the dots.
In many cases, the fraud has allegedly been perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s sizeable Somali community. Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab. As one confidential source put it: “The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.”
A real inquiry would likely deliver harsh conclusions about Netanyahu’s misguided strategy of coddling Hamas; his failure to heed intelligence before Oct. 7; the staggering human cost of the war that followed; the failure to dismantle Hamas despite two years of brutal fighting; Israel’s growing international isolation; and Netanyahu’s repeated rejection of diplomatic exit ramps.
It is obvious that a commission dealing with such explosive matters must not be controlled by the very people it will judge. Yet that is exactly the system Netanyahu has engineered, while arguing that a state inquiry would be stacked against him. Most Israelis see the attempted whitewash clearly, and some three quarters of the public have consistently said they want a state commission.

Speaking to Kan, Feldstein said, “the first task” he received from Netanyahu after October 7, 2023, was to stifle calls for accountability.
“He asked me, ‘What are they talking about in the news? Are they still talking about responsibility?‘” Feldstein said. “He wanted me to think of something that could be said that would offset the media storm surrounding the question of whether the prime minister had taken responsibility or not.”
He added that Netanyahu looked “panicked” when he made the request. Feldstein said he was later told by people in Netanyahu’s close circle to omit the word “responsibility” from all statements.
Trump at the outset of the session told reporters that he planned to speak with Netanyahu about “five major subjects,” later suggesting that they’d come close to settling three of them within the first five minutes of their session.
In addition to Gaza, Trump indicated plans to address issues in the occupied West Bank and potential threats posed by Iran.
But more than an hour later, the two emerged with no new milestones to announce.

Over the past week, at least four ministers have spoken out about the scandal, in which close Netanyahu aide Jonathan Urich and his former spokesperson, Eli Feldstein, are accused of working as lobbyists for Qatar while simultaneously being employed in the Prime Minister’s Office. The allegation is particularly explosive because Hamas’s leadership is based in Qatar and the Gulf state has acted as a mediator in the Gaza war and the current ceasefire.

“[Netanyahu] is the one who ultimately was behind the leak,” Feldstein said emphatically, adding that he told interrogators the same thing repeatedly after his arrest and eventual indictment over the matter.
The document in question was an internal Hamas memo purporting to show that the terror group wasn’t interested in the compromises necessary to reach a hostage deal. After it was leaked to the Bild, Netanyahu used it to argue that only further military pressure would lead to the release of the hostages.

The affair surrounding the leak of classified documents to the German newspaper Bild and the so-called Qatargate scandal have returned to the headlines in recent days.
Eli Feldstein, former military spokesman for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is charged in the first case and implicated in the second, claimed this week that Netanyahu “knew about and backed the leak.” At the same time, correspondence between Feldstein and Yisrael Einhorn, a former close adviser to the prime minister, was revealed, showing efforts to promote pro-Qatar messaging in Israel.
