Boris Johnson will ‚test the law to the limit‘ to defy anti-No Deal bill, says Dominic Raab amid growing speculation the PM will take his ‚do or die‘ fight to deliver Brexit on October 31 to the Supreme Court
Under the plan, detailed in The Sunday Times, Mr Johnson will try to agree a new deal with Brussels at a summit on October 17.
But should he fail he will then reportedly refuse to comply with the anti-No Deal legislation passed by MPs and ignore the requirement to ask for an extension.
Downing Street believes such a course of action will guarantee an immediate judicial review in the Supreme Court with the fate of Brexit placed in the hands of judges, just days before the October 31 deadline.
Two top EU chiefs tell Remainers NO more Brexit delays – even they’ve had enough now!
Verhoftstadt, the European Parliament‘s chief Brexit co-ordinator, said another extension would be „unacceptable unless the deadlock in London is broken“.
He added: „Let it be a 2nd ref., new elections, a revocation of art. 50 or the approval of the deal, but not today’s helpless status quo.“
EU WHAT?! John McDonnell hints Labour has DROPPED its own plans for Brexit deal and would back May’s hated Withdrawal Agreement
LABOUR has given up on plans to get a new Brexit deal and would back a version of Theresa May’s hated Withdrawal Agreement, John McDonnell has dramatically revealed.
McDonnell said Labour would hold a second referendum on one of the deals already discussed by Parliament – such as May’s or the Norway option.
Trump-Rohani Summit Is a Done Deal, Israeli Defense Officials Believe
A meeting between the U.S. and Iranian presidents is just about a done deal. That is the growing conclusion in Israel’s security establishment after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting with U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Asper in London Thursday. As always, one caveat must be added: This summit will happen unless the less predictable member of the pair, Donald Trump, changes his mind at the last minute.
Sending well wishes and a happy birthday to my friend @berniesanders!
Pompeo defends Trump‘s invitation of Taliban to Camp David, citing ‚obligation to do everything we can‘
During a separate interview on NBC, Pompeo noted Camp David’s history in peace negotiations, “sometimes with some pretty bad actors.”
“The president ultimately made the decision that … if we could get commitments and then put in place a verification regime that would give us confidence that we could observe that those commitments were being honored, that … it was a useful effort to try and get all of those parties in one place so that we could have serious conversations.”
Arms Sent by U.S. May Be Falling Into Taliban Hands
(19. Mai 2009)
Of 30 rifle magazines recently taken from insurgents’ corpses, at least 17 contained cartridges, or rounds, identical to ammunition the United States had provided to Afghan government forces, according to an examination of ammunition markings by The New York Times and interviews with American officers and arms dealers.
EU-Vize in Afghanistan „beriet“ als MI6-Agent „Taliban“-Terroristen
(26. Dezember 2007)
Revealed: British plan to build training camp for Taliban fighters in Afghanistan
(4. Februar 2008)
Afghan government staff also claimed the „EU peace-builders“ had handed over mobile phones, laptops and airtime credit to insurgents. They said the memory stick revealed plans to train the Taliban to use secure satellite phones, so they could communicate directly with UK officials.
Mr Patterson, a Briton, was the third-ranking UN diplomat when he was held. Mr Semple, an Irishman, was the acting head of the EU mission. Officially, the British embassy remains tight-lipped, fuelling speculation that the plan may have been part of a wider clandestine operation.
Krieg in Afghanistan: Warlord Inc. – freies Geleit gegen Geld
(23. Juni 2010)
Warlord, Inc.: Extortion and Corruption Along the U.S. Supply Chain in Afghanistan
June 22, 2010
To the Members of the Subcommittee:
Today I present to you a report entitled, Warlord, Inc.: Extortion and Corruption Along the U.S. Supply Chain in Afghanistan, which has been prepared by the Majority staff of the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
After a six-month investigation, the report exposes the circumstances surrounding the Department of Defense’s outsourcing of security on the supply chain in Afghanistan to questionable providers, including warlords.
The findings of this report range from sobering to shocking. In short, the Department of Defense designed a contract that put responsibility for the security of vital U.S. supplies on contractors and their unaccountable security providers. This arrangement has fueled a vast protection racket run by a shadowy network of warlords, strongmen, commanders, corrupt
Afghan officials, and perhaps others.
Not only does the system run afoul of the Department’s own rules and regulations mandated by Congress, it also appears to risk undermining the U.S. strategy for achieving its goals in Afghanistan.
Nixed U.S.-Taliban Talks A Relief for Afghanistan Government
U.S. President Donald Trump’s move to abruptly cancel talks with the Taliban may have set back the Afghan peace process, but it came as a relief to the government in Kabul.
President Ashraf Ghani’s administration, which has been excluded from the negotiations, has distrusted the process from the beginning.
Trump says he canceled secret Camp David meeting with Taliban leaders
„Unbeknownst to almost everyone, the major Taliban leaders and, separately, the President of Afghanistan, were going to secretly meet with me at Camp David on Sunday,“ Trump tweeted Saturday night.
Trump claimed that before traveling to the US on Saturday evening, „Unfortunately, in order to build false leverage, they admitted to……an attack in Kabul that killed one of our great great soldiers, and 11 other people.“
„I immediately cancelled the meeting and called off peace negotiations,“ Trump added.

US / Israel: Geheimtreffen wegen „Bosnien-Option“ für Irak?
(8. Dezember 2006)
Joe Biden Is Proud of His Record on Iraq, but His Plan to Segregate It Would Have Unleashed Chaos
As Biden acknowledged this week, the plan to divide Iraq along ethnic lines he cooked up with Gelb was criticized at the time as more likely to incite than tamp down sectarian violence and ethnic cleansing, as it had early in the war in Bosnia and following the partitioning of Ireland, India, and Palestine in the last century. In each of those prior cases, partition, which looked good on paper and was accepted enthusiastically by extreme nationalist/segregationist leaders in each place, had the same result in practice: It encouraged violent sectarian cleansing and the destruction of the multiethnic societies that had existed in those territories for centuries.
Joe Biden says he opposed the Iraq War soon after it started. A check of his record shows otherwise
„Nine months ago, I voted with my colleagues to give the president of the United States of America the authority to use force and I would vote that way again today. It was the right vote then and would be a correct vote today,“ Biden said in a July 2003 speech at the Brookings Institution.
Of the 20 Democrats still running for president in 2020, only two — Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders — were in a position to vote on authorizing President George W. Bush to go to war in Iraq back in 2002.
When Did Joe Biden Start Believing He Had Opposed the Iraq War?
(04.09.2019)
This version of events is so twisted that the very next sentence of the NPR story starts debunking the idea that Biden was antiwar. But it’s worth unpacking more fully. Let’s start from the beginning and work our way through:
Joe Biden lying about Iraq shows why our nation has so many wars
Hillary Clinton engaged in the same kind of historical revisionism. She was a reliable hawk on military interventions, including the disastrous intervention in Libya, without even a resolution; regarding Iraq, she jumped on the popular bandwagon for war. When it became less popular, however, she claimed to have been misled, even though she and her colleagues ignored those of us opposing the original war resolution.

Out-of-state supporters for candidates including Mr. Biden and Senator Kamala Harris also attended the event, according to interviews and social media posts. Campaigns often bus in some supporters and allies for major events. It was not clear on Saturday night to what extent the different campaigns coordinated the importing of supporters. A Warren spokeswoman declined to comment.

Amid fevered rumours Boris Johnson is on the brink of resignation, Dominic Cummings tells senior Tory staff: Hold your nerve, act like TV’s Mr Cool – and it’ll be Happy Days!
Boris Johnson‘s powerful adviser Dominic Cummings has urged his army of Whitehall aides to hold their nerve and ‚be cool like Fonzie‘ over the Prime Minster‘s plan to ignore Parliament‘s orders to seek an extension to EU membership.
If MPs again block a General Election tomorrow, the Downing Street enforcer warned Government special advisers to prepare for an extraordinary showdown. He said Mr Johnson would refuse to bend to the will of Parliament – and insisted there is a ‚alternative‘ legal loophole.
The Remainer tyranny
This furious, anti-democratic wing of the elite, who make up the majority of the contemporary establishment, has been drifting towards extreme authoritarianism for two years now. They openly discuss overriding the largest democratic vote in British history. They condemn newspapers that use strong language to describe Remainer extremism. They make deals with the European Union above the heads of the prime minister, the Cabinet and the people to ensure that we stay in the EU for longer than planned. And now they warn the PM that if he doesn’t follow a new law insisting on an extension of the Article 50 process – and of the UK’s membership of the EU – then he will go to jail.

Speaker John Bercow tells aides he will quit at next election after Tories launch campaign to oust him

Boris Johnson tells John Bercow, ‚You‘re out!‘: Tories will oust ‚biased‘ Commons Speaker after he ripped up the rulebook and helped block Brexit
In an article for today‘s MoS – printed below – Ms Leadsom says that, by allowing MPs to take over the Parliamentary timetable, the Speaker ‚hasn‘t just bent the rules, he has broken them‘.
The Cabinet Minister – who clashed repeatedly with Mr Bercow when she was Commons Leader – describes last Tuesday‘s vote as ‚a flagrant abuse‘, adding: ‚It is right that the Conservatives will recognise this fact at the next General Election by standing our candidate in Buckingham.‘

Großbritannien: No-Deal-Brexit könnte Boris Johnson das Amt kosten

Boris Johnson ‘to break law for Brexit’ as he snatches 14‑point lead over Corbyn
In a dramatic escalation of the prime minister’s war with parliament, Johnson will ignore legislation passed last week demanding that he seek an extension from Brussels to Brexit negotiations past the Halloween deadline — forcing MPs to take him to court.
Johnson will go to the EU summit on October 17 and seek a deal with Brussels — but if one is not agreed he will refuse to demand the extension to article 50 which the rebel legislation demands.
Boris Johnson receives boost in polls despite damaging week in Parliament
Two polls published on Saturday evening give the Conservatives a commanding lead over Labour, suggesting that Mr Johnson’s hardline stance on Brexit is cutting through to voters.
The Tories are up three points on 35 percent in the latest Opinium poll, with Labour trailing in second place on 25 percent and the Liberal Democrats on 17 percent.
Theresa May leads fight to reinstate Remainer rebels as she emerges as the leading critic of Boris Johnson‘s ‚brutal‘ decision to purge 21 Tories
Mrs May has raised the issue directly with Party chairman James Cleverly and Chief Whip Mark Spencer on behalf of the group that includes former Chancellor Philip Hammond, ex-Justice Secretary David Gauke and Tory grandee Ken Clarke.
She approached Mr Cleverly behind the Speaker‘s Chair in the House of Commons on Wednesday evening to raise concerns about the legality of blocking any of the rebels from being candidates at the next Election.
Rogue Tories plot with Liberal Democrats: Rebel MPs stripped of the whip for voting against Boris Johnson‘s Brexit policy on verge of agreeing Election pact with Jo Swinson‘s party
Under the plan, if the rebels are not allowed back into the party, the Liberals and the Greens would not put up a candidate against MPs Rory Stewart, Sam Gyimah, Margot James and Dominic Grieve.
In return, if they were to beat the official Tory candidates and win election to the Commons, they would agree to take a ‚soft whip‘ from the Liberals, meaning they would vote with Ms Swinson‘s party on selected issues.
Is Rudd Resignation Really a Big Loss?
Amber Rudd was the least satisfactory member of the Cabinet in the eyes of Conservatives, according to the latest ConservativeHome polling. Pundits claiming Amber resigning will be a “huge loss for the Conservative Party” don’t understand the party or the reboot that is underway to align the party more closely with Brexit voters.
Amber Rudd quits Cabinet and Conservative Party over ‚culling‘ of rebel MPs
The Work and Pensions Secretary accused the Prime Minister of „an assault on decency and democracy“ over the sacking of 21 Tory MPs who backed moves to prevent the UK leaving the EU without a deal.
Ms Rudd said Mr Johnson was guilty of „political vandalism“ and claimed Number 10 was now pursuing no-deal as official government policy.
