Gantz Keeps Falling While Far-right Zehut Stabilizes, Poll Shows
As it stands, Kahol Lavan maintains a lead of only three seats.
The poll also shows that if the elections were to take place today, six parties would teeter on the brink of the electoral threshold. Avigdor Lieberman‘s Yisrael Beiteinu, the United Arab List-Balad, Meretz, Moshe Feiglin‘s Zehut party and Naftali Bennet and Ayelet Shaked‘s Hayamin Hehadash would all make the minimum four seats needed to enter Knesset.
‘I’m Not a Fascist’: E.U. Leader Apologizes for Comments on Mussolini’s Legacy
(14.3.2019)
His apology followed a radio interview on Wednesday in which he appeared to offer a positive slant on Mussolini’s dictatorship.
“I’m not a fascist, I was never a fascist, and I don’t share his political convictions,” Mr. Tajani told Radio 24, an Italian broadcaster. “But we have to be honest: Mussolini built roads, bridges, buildings, sports facilities; he has developed many parts of our Italy.”
Farage to lobby EU countries in search of Brexit extension veto
(14.3.2019) Indeed, an extension of Article 50 can only be taken with unanimity, and the veto of one country is enough to block it.
Brexit: Will EU leaders agree to an extension?
EU leaders‘ silence after Thursday‘s vote by the House of Commons to delay Brexit may also have been because they realise – whatever their individual opinions on an extension – that they are obliged by law to come to a unanimous decision.
Tulsi Gabbard‘s foreign policy frustrates centrist Democrats, draws cheers from anti-interventionists, and makes her political identity tough to pigeonhole
In a recent fundraising email, Gabbard slammed „corporate media“ and claimed „Russia-baiting propaganda is being deployed“ against her campaign because she‘s spoken out against „regime change“ and a „new Cold War.“
Gabbard‘s fiercely anti-interventionist disposition puts her in line with many on far end of the political left, and journalists like Glenn Greenwald have emerged as her fiercest defenders.

Tulsi Gabbard: We must end wasteful wars
Leaders in both parties think that we should be acting as the policemen of the world and that we should continue to go around overthrowing and toppling dictators or countries who we don‘t like. These wars are causing more suffering and costing us, the American people, trillions of dollars in the process. Unless we end these regime-change wars we will not have the resources we need to serve the needs of our people and our communities right here at home.
As president, I will end the US policy of regime change wars, work to end the new cold war/nuclear arms race, & put the trillions of $ wasted on these wars back in the pockets of the American people & needs of our communities. tulsi.to/PeaceDividend #TULSI2020 #MedicareForAll

Bundesregierung will eigenen Flugzeugträger
Axel Voss Says Maybe YouTube Shouldn‘t Exist
The latest comes in some quotes he gave in a great article by DW.com, which correctly highlights how Article 13 is going to lead to widespread censorship. Voss tries to defend it with some truly bizarre claims:
“We are just concentrating on platforms that are infringing on copyrighted works like YouTube. Not for dating platforms or merchandising or local social platforms. Only 1.5% of internet platforms will be affected.”
Only 1.5% of platforms will be affected?
The 8chan post linked to a livestream of the murders on Facebook, an account that railed against immigration. The post and its links, deeply steeped in meme culture, claimed the writer was radicalized by the internet. He even named YouTube personalities.

Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp suffer global outage
Reports from DownDetector suggested that the problem was global, and peaked between 9:00 and 15:00 PDT for all three services, before tailing off, though there are still residual reports of problems with all three applications.
49 dead in Christchurch terror attack
Facebook Australia-New Zealand policy director Mia Garlick said the videos have been taken down.
„New Zealand Police alerted us to a video on Facebook shortly after the livestream commenced and we quickly removed both the shooter‘s Facebook and Instagram accounts and the video.“
It is with deep regret I tonight resigned from Labour’s front bench, because I believe we should respect the result of the 2016 vote to leave the European Union:
I‘ve resigned from Labour‘s front bench this evening in order to vote against a second referendum. This was a difficult decision but I have a duty to support the will of my constituents. We need to leave, and leave with a deal that works for the Potteries
Dear MPs Democracy is a pressure relief valve. If you shut it off, the pressure doesn‘t go away. It breaks out elsewhere. Be warned.
Berlin, das Neue Rom
(18. Juni 2012)
‘The EU is Germany writ large’
As Britain prepares for Brexit, what will happen to the EU that we leave behind? To understand the EU and its direction of travel, you have to understand Germany – the bloc’s richest, most populous and most powerful nation. Sir Paul Lever has worked in the Foreign Office and the European Commission, he was the British ambassador to Germany between 1997 and 2003, and is author of Berlin Rules: Europe and the German Way. spiked caught up with him for a chat.
If this Brexit mess tells us anything it’s that not one single party is for the people
THERE are krill, living in the darkest reaches of the Atlantic Ocean, that would have made a better job of managing Brexit than our politicians.
I don’t think there has been a more intellectually challenged regime in the world since the famous — and fictitious — Dermot The F***wit presided over part of Ireland in the 12th century.
Comfort for Theresa May – the only party in more turmoil than her own is the Labour party! How #JeremyCorbyn thinks we believe he can sort this mess out is beyond me. #Brexit #BrexitMayhem
Eine Untote in der Brexit-Hölle
Premierministerin May sitzt in der Brexit-Hölle. Was treibt die parteiintern verhasste May an?
Brexit: May to try to persuade MPs for third time to back deal
Prime Minister Theresa May will try to persuade MPs for a third time to back her Brexit deal over the coming days.
The Commons will vote on her withdrawal agreement by 20 March, after MPs agreed to ask the EU to delay Brexit beyond the current 29 March departure date.
The Last Gatekeeper
The issues on the agenda are the Central Elections Committee’s refusal to disqualify Michael Ben Ari and Itamar Ben-Gvir of the Otzma Yehudit, and its decisions to disqualify a joint ticket comprised of two Arab parties, United Arab List and Balad, as well as Jewish MK Ofer Cassif of the Arab-Jewish Hadash. Once the court publishes its decision, we will know whether Israel still has gatekeepers who will stand in the breach, or whether even the last of them has been defeated by the ugly tide of ultra-nationalism and racism that is sweeping the country.
