Yellow Jackets activist Eric Drouet, who has emerged as a leading figure in the French anti-government movement, was arrested in Paris on Wednesday evening, according to national media reports.
Drouet, a truck driver, is accused of the „organization of an event without prior notification“ for an event that took place in the French capital that night, French prosecutors said.
Democrats Unveil Changes To House Rules On Debt Ceiling, Ethics
Democrats plan to tweak the rules so that a motion to vacate can only be offered on the House floor if a majority of either the House Republican Conference or the House Democratic Caucus agrees to do so. The change limits the ability of any one member to wreak havoc on the floor and ultimately bolsters incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., against potential agitators in either party.
Looks like Pelosi will be having none of that intra-party rebellion Ryan and Boehner faced repeatedly from the right. This new rule for the House looks to end the ability of a single member to bring a motion to vacate the chair.
