Through his show, Jimmy has consistently lead and been right on issues like RussiaGate, the chemical attack in Syria, the DNC rigging a second election against Bernie, the CARES Act bailout for Wall Street, Covid vaccine mandates and lockdowns, Bernie’s spinelessness, the Squad’s careerism, and the need for a major new populist party free of corporate money.
His #ForceTheVote campaign reshaped US politics by exposing that even progressives like AOC are quickly corrupted by the Democratic Party. The People’s Party was the only major national organization to partner with Jimmy and demand a floor vote on Medicare for All in the middle of the pandemic.
When Jimmy asked him about running on the show, Chris Hedges said the media would dredge up something he said or did, or allegedly said or did, and use it to attack him endlessly. He’s right, they would do this to any independent populist who truly challenges the corporate state, but as Ralph pointed out, we’re in a very different political and media age from when he ran in 2000.
We’ve been through two great recessions and a pandemic that were used to crush us and create super billionaires. People are working more, making less, and living worse. Faith in institutions has collapsed across society, including the major parties, the media, big business, the banks, the courts, and schools. Trust in government is at historic lows. The number of independents is at record highs. And a majority of Americans want a major new party and an independent candidate for president.
People’s Party Blocks Liberal Takeover Attempt

Other members of the board and I were told that any attempt to intervene in the hijacking of the party’s message and purpose, including holding a party-wide vote on vaccine mandates, would be construed as “retaliation” against the accuser, in further acts of collusion between her and those on the board.
When the hostile members of the board and contractors realized that the investigation was not going their way, they encouraged the accuser to escalate her claims. The accuser’s original complaint had not even used the words “sexual harassment,” but they told her to allege rape. This shocked the investigative committee, and one of the members later told me, “Every time I spoke with her, I got a different story. Every time I spoke with you, I heard the same thing.” Another member of the investigative committee put together a list of dozens of inconsistencies between her own accounts.
The original investigation was supposed to last about a week, but because it had not arrived at the predetermined conclusion sought by the hostile board members, they prolonged it week after week for two months, pressuring committee members to alter their conclusions, attempting to censor and expel committee members who objected to the political motives behind the allegations, fabricating new charges of “retaliation” for supporting a party-wide vote on vaccine mandates, and most seriously, engaging in a sustained campaign to replace the legal board of the organization with a partial one that subtracted Rodrigo and me, an attempt that our General Council affirmed was illegal.
Had there been any actual evidence, the investigation would have concluded quickly. Because there was none, they resorted to manufacturing the new charges, further revealing their political motives. But the more her allegations fell apart, the more brazen the hostile faction on the board became. They abandoned their responsibilities in other areas of the party, including organizing, tech, and finance, and focused obsessively on attempting to remove me.
Meanwhile, they were also trying to enact their liberal agenda on the National Organizing Committee. They inserted a provision into the draft charter of the People’s National Committee which would have allowed registered Democrats to control every seat on about forty People’s Party state committees and a supermajority on our national committee, effectively inviting Democratic Party infiltrators. When populist delegates overwhelmingly struck down their provision, they were furious.
Disband NATO to End the War in Ukraine
To end the war in Ukraine, stand with its people, avert escalation and future wars, and create a more peaceful and collaborative world, we support getting to the origins and heart of the conflict and taking these actions when we are in government:
1. Disband NATO and its military bases
2. Recognize the UN as the global security authority
3. Disband permanent membership and veto power on the UN Security Council
4. Recognize Ukraine as an independent and militarily neutral country
5. End all wars of aggression, regime-change wars and resource wars
6. Ban funding and arming Nazis
7. Ban Congress and government officials from war profiteering and insider trading
8. Cut the US military budget in half and invest those resources into guaranteeing jobs, health care, housing and college at home
Virginia People’s Party Announces Ballot Access

Recent polling by Gallup has found that nearly two-thirds of voters believe we need a new major political party in order to adequately represent the needs of the American people. The platform of the People’s Party includes policies with broad working-class support, such as universal healthcare, student debt relief, housing for all, environmental justice, and supporting workers’ right to organize.
Poll: Just under half of voters support Trump running in 2024
Seventy-seven percent of Republican respondents approve of Trump jumping into the 2024 race while 23 percent oppose.
Meanwhile, 77 percent of Democrats and 56 percent of independents oppose the idea.
Florida News! Register for Peoples Party
This is HUGE news as we can now support candidates to run to fight the duopoly as People’s Party candidates in the Sunshine State. Florida is a state that moves the country politically with more than 14 Million voters, a quarter of those are already registered as unaffiliated and surveys show that millions more are seeking out a better party. This is a significant and exciting development in the building of a major new party across the country.
People’s Party National Organizing Committee: Election, Membership and Procedures
Over the past four years, thousands of people across the country have come together in a historic movement to build a major new political party free of corporate money. Now we’re incredibly proud to have reached a major milestone in the growth and development of the People’s Party: the formation of a representative National Organizing Committee charged with forming the rules for the People’s Party National Committee.
The National Organizing Committee is an interim representative body that will be seated prior to the formation of the National Committee. Once elected, the National Committee will take the place of the National Coordinators’ Circle as the leadership body of the National People’s Party.
Nina‘s unfortunate loss is further proof that working with the Democrats is a dead end road for folks seeking to challenge the status quo. Democrats will spend millions of dollars (at a time like this!) and pull out all the stops to undermine candidates fighting for the people.

An Ugly War Among Leftist YouTubers Shows Two Common, Toxic Pathologies Plaguing U.S. Politics
While I used my social media platforms to denounce the false accusations voiced by Uygur and Kasparian against Maté, none of this would merit an article or stand-alone commentary if not for the fact that the two weapons they chose — false accusations that someone is a paid Russian agent and exploited sexual harassment accusations — have become extremely commonplace in Democratic Party politics, liberal circles and U.S. politics more broadly. It is long past time — way past time — that these tactics be rejected and scorned by everyone regardless of ideology or personality preferences.
The fact that the US just bombed Syria & US troops are occupying it (along with imposing murderous sanctions) should underscore that it‘s derelict for left media to avoid it — & avoid speaking out when those who do cover it are slandered for challenging the establishment line.
America is terrorizing & bombing the middle east again. We’re the terrorists. We’re the Imperialists. We’re the blood thirsty murdering psychopaths. We’re the Bad guys. This is without Trump. Congrats!
THE GOAL OF A PEOPLE’S PARTY
The goal of a people’s party is to represent the interests of the wide majority of us and create a system to sustainably maximize well-being for ALL.
We believe we deserve a system that honors everyone for the content of their character, not the color of their skin, the land where they happened to be born, or the numbers in their bank account. One that brings powerful law-breakers to justice. One that makes sure the planet and its magnificent beings are cared for before any corporation exec’s profit margins. One where the power of our nation’s wealth serves all of us, not just failed banks or masters of war.
The CIA Has Been Taking Over for Decades—Even Former Presidents Tried to Warn Us
December 22, 1963 — exactly one month after President John F. Kennedy had been assassinated, former President Harry S. Truman published an op-ed in the Washington Post that most people, especially our perfumed ruling elite, wanted to ignore.
Truman, who signed the CIA into existence just after World War II, wrote, “I think it has become necessary to take another look at the purpose and operations of our Central Intelligence Agency—the CIA. […] For some time I have been disturbed by the way the CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble and may have compounded our difficulties in several explosive areas. …There is something about the way the CIA has been functioning that is casting a shadow over our historic position and I feel that we need to correct it.”
Not only did that adorn the pages of the Washington Post one month after JFK’s death, Truman hand wrote the first draft just one week after JFK met up with a bunch of bullets in Dallas. Sure, one may wish Harry had sent his thoughts to John a month before the President’s televised execution. Maybe he could’ve sent a singing telegram or something. But let’s at least give Truman partial credit for the belated message.
Before his death President Kennedy also held no love for the Central Intelligence Agency. Following the calamitous Bay of Pigs invasion, Kennedy said he wanted to “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds.”
Point being, clearly Truman, who created the CIA, and Kennedy, who met a mysterious untimely end by professional killers, knew the agency had run amok.
Yet the CIA is still here, bigger and filled with more Bond villains than ever, and now they have a whole cavalcade of other intelligence agencies working with them.

Public intellectual and Harvard professor Dr. Cornel West and political comedian Jimmy Dore have joined the People’s Party Advisory Council. Together with the Movement for a People’s Party, they are launching the Force The Vote petition and organizing campaign. The campaign aims to pressure The Squad and House progressives to refuse to vote for Rep. Nancy Pelosi as Speaker until she publicly pledges to bring Medicare for all to the floor of the House for a vote. Nearly 10,000 people signed the petition overnight.
Dore hosted Dr. West on The Jimmy Dore Show Friday evening where they broke the news. “We’re joining forces with the Movement for a People’s Party. We are ForceTheVote.org,” said Dore. “There’s never a wrong time to do the right thing. And now is the time, in the middle of a deadly pandemic. There’s never been a better time to have a Medicare for all vote.”

Movement for a People‘s Party: Our Plan
The large majority of Americans are progressive. They want single payer health care, free public college, money out of politics, financial regulations, a $15 minimum wage, an infrastructure jobs program, and more. A large majority and record number of Americans are also calling for a major new party.
The country is beyond ready for a new nationally viable progressive party. But our movement is divided into thousands of smaller organizations working independently of one another. …
DNC Gives Itself the Power to Veto Presidential Candidates
Washington, D.C. — The DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee met in Providence, R.I. on Friday, June 8 and declared a new rule that allows the party to block presidential candidates from running on the Democratic ballot.
The rule states that in order to be accepted as a candidate by the DNC, the applicants’ “public writings and/or statements” must “affirmatively demonstrate that they are faithful to the interests, welfare and success of the Democratic Party of the United States.”
The new rule means that a committee of corporate lobbyists, consultants, and people who participated in rigging the 2016 primary election will decide if a progressive is eligible to run for president in the Democratic Party in 2020. When Bernie Sanders or another progressive files to run as a Democrat, the DNC can reject them before a single vote is cast.
