In particular, yesterday Sunday, the websites Polsatnews.pl and Wprost.pl reported that mercenaries of the so-called Polish Volunteer Corps fought alongside the Ukrainian forces.
The reports cite Telegram posts by the group and a video purportedly showing gunmen on their way to Belgorod.
Poland has distanced itself from reports that Polish mercenaries had joined militia in leading attacks on territories deep inside Russia. This after several videos of Polish Volunteer Corps crossing the Ukrainian boundary and mocking the Russian regime went viral.

The spate of assaults, most recently by militia groups aligned against Moscow, has sparked the largest military evacuation effort in Russia in decades.
