Jangho, yes, at the press center North Korean officials came over and handed out North Korean foreign minister Ri Yong-ho‘s statement during the ASEAN Regional Forum. The statement emphasized the importance of building confidence between Pyongyang and Washington in fully implementing the Joint Statement signed by their two leaders. It also said that only when the U.S. ensures that the North feels comfortable, will Pyongyang be able to open their minds to the U.S. and show the desired moves in action. It reprimanded the U.S. for raising its voice louder over maintaining sanctions against the regime,… and asked the ARF member states to respond to Pyongyang‘s goodwill measures for a turnaround of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

Belgium‘s Communist Party (PCB) withdraws membership from the „European Left“
The recent Congress of the Communist Party of Belgium (Le Parti Communiste de Belgique), which took place in Brussels, decided with a 83% majority to withdraw the Party‘s membership from the Party of the European Left (PEL).
According to PCB, several reasons led to this decision, including PEL‘s hostility towards historical socialism (20th century socialism), as well as the „unacceptable attitude of the European Left‘s leaders towards NATO“.
In particular, the PCB denounces the social democratic parties- leading members of the European Left- of SYRIZA and Die Linke;

Es galt, Klarheit über unsere Haltung gegenüber der Austeritätspolitik der EU zu schaffen. Weil der griechische Regierungschef Alexis Tsipras seine vor Jahren übernommenen Verpflichtungen verraten hat, haben wir gefordert, seine Partei SYRIZA aus der Europäischen Linkspartei auszuschließen – die sich im Übrigen in der Griechenlandfrage festgefahren hat. Da dies abgelehnt wurde, haben wir jetzt unsererseits die Konsequenzen gezogen.
Absurde Selbstgefälligkeit
(5.2.2018) Was wurde nicht gerade in Deutschland und Frankreich alles an verwegenen Erwartungen in diese kleine griechische Partei und ihren smarten Frontmann hineinprojiziert, die es wagten, auf Konfrontationskurs zur ganzen Eurogruppe zu gehen. Und wie schnell war es mit den wortreichen Solidaritätsbekundungen vorbei, als der griechische David gegen den europäischen Goliath verlor.
„Europa“ ist ein Fluch, eine Form von heuchelndem, ätzenden, sich tarnenden Faschismus. Auch diese fliegt auf den Müllhaufen der Geschichte.

(15.1.2018) D.h., es geht nicht darum die Linke zu spalten; diese war und ist immer gespalten, sobald auch nur Einer wagt dem Kader zu widerprechen. Eine Demokratie ist keine gespaltene Persönlichkeit, sondern besteht immer aus den Parteikörper spaltenden Menschen, die alle über eine eigene Individualität, Identität, einen eigenen Willen und Charakter verfügen, selbst wenn dieser abscheulich ist und sie gewillt sind sich lieber zu unterwerfen statt zu wählen und ihre eigenen Entscheidungen zu treffen.
Es geht auch nicht darum eine zweite linke Partei zu gründen. Es geht darum die erste zu gründen, so man den politischen Begriff „links“ positiv begreift.

Lutze, so lautet ein weiterer Vorwurf, ließ bis dato in der Partei nahezu unbekannte Personen mit Bussen zum damaligen Landesparteitag ankarren. Mit den Worten »Natürlich hofft man, dass man mit so einem Service bei den Mitgliedern auch punkten kann«, kommentierte er dies gegenüber Spiegel online.

(24.1.2012) Auf Parteitagen, im Landesvorstand, in Internetforen und Parteizirkeln liefern sie sich Schlachten mit einer keineswegs kleinen links-fundamentalistischen Minderheit. Genau deren Protagonisten wird in dem Dossier der Kampf angesagt.
Man müsse diese „Gegenkräfte weiter schwächen und isolieren“, heißt es da. Von „unpolitischen Verrückten“ ist die Rede. Man müsse „Unfähige gewähren lassen, Fähige kompromittieren“. Wie, das wird präzise beschrieben.

I will root antisemites out of Labour – they do not speak for me
Jewish people have also been at the heart of the labour movement throughout our history. So no one can, or should, try to dismiss or belittle the concerns expressed by so many Jewish people and organisations about what has been happening in the party I am proud to lead.
I do not for one moment accept that a Labour government would represent any kind of threat, let alone an “existential threat”, to Jewish life in Britain, as three Jewish newspapers recently claimed. That is the kind of overheated rhetoric that can surface during emotional political debates. But I do acknowledge there is a real problem that Labour is working to overcome. And I accept that, if any part of our national community feels threatened, anxious or vulnerable, not only must that be taken at face value but we must all ensure those fears are put to rest.

India’s Oil Imports From Iran Jump To Record-High In July
Ahead of the return of the U.S. sanctions on Iran, India’s state refiners boosted their Iranian oil purchases, pushing up Indian oil imports from Iran by 30 percent from June, to a record 768,000 bpd in July, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing preliminary tanker arrival data it had obtained from trade sources.
