South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol arrived in Jakarta on Tuesday to attend annual summits involving the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the first leg of a two-nation tour that will later take him to India for a summit with leaders of the Group of 20 (G20) major economies.

Damit sollte ein Vakuum auf dem Posten verhindert werden, da die Amtszeit des amtierenden Zentralbank-Chefs Lee Ju-yeol Ende März ablaufe. Aus Yoons Lager hieß es jedoch, dass es zu der Frage keine eingehende Besprechung gegeben habe.

While Cho was tapped as the justice minister to carry out the reform, the prosecution launched a massive investigation into allegations involving him and his family. The investigation has been seen by Cheong Wa Dae as a show of resistance to reform.
