Simplewall is an excellent, open source, and straightforward firewall that you can use for Windows. I‘ve been using it for the past few years and will continue to do so. It uses the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP), and is separate from Windows Defender. If you use Defender and are looking for some extra firewall protection, this is a good tool to add.

Howard Lutnick faces bipartisan calls to resign over latest Epstein revelations
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is facing bipartisan calls to resign after he appeared in a recent batch of files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) accused Lutnick in a statement Monday of having “lied” about the extent of his connection to Epstein. Lutnick has sought to downplay their relationship, saying in a podcast appearance last year he vowed in 2005 to never again be in the same room as Epstein.
GOP lawmaker behind Congress’ Epstein push says Commerce Secretary Lutnick should resign over links
(February 8, 2026)
Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, a co-author of the law that compelled the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, on Sunday called on Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to resign over his links to the late sex offender.
Asked on CNN’s “Inside Politics” if Lutnick – who the files show as having planned meetings with Epstein long after saying he broke off contact – should testify, Massie responded, “No, he should just resign. I mean, there are three people in Great Britain that have resigned in politics.”
Yair Golan says party will seek communications portfolio amid government’s attacks on media
“Netanyahu wants mouthpieces. He wants media outlets that will applaud him while he evades responsibility, praise him while he sacrifices Israel’s security, and remain silent while he protects advisers and aides who betrayed the state and received money from Qatar, the same Qatar that funded Hamas and the October 7 massacre,” Golan says, referring to the ongoing investigation into senior Netanyahu aides accused of lobbying on behlaf of Qatar during Israel’s war against Hamas while being employed by the premier’s office.
“He knows that a free and independent press poses a real threat to a corrupt government built on cover-ups. That is why he seeks to turn news channels into obedient, hollow mouthpieces that avoid criticizing him and his government,” he says.

Getting Your Party Back on Track
Getting Your Party back on track means campaigning tirelessly on the issues that matter most to people, from the cost-of-living to opposing racism and war.
But it also means empowering Your Party members to organise most effectively and make decisions collectively. For that, we need iron-clad democratic commitments that ensure all members can play their full part — not democratic posturing behind which small sects seek outsized influence.
So here are The Many’s six priorities to build a truly member-led party:
1. Set Up Official Branches — so all members can get organised.
2. Defend OMOV — so all members get to decide, not the sects.
3. Establish Members’ Policy Commissions — so policies are shaped by the people they will affect.
4. Review the Finances and Data — so all members can have trust, nothing off limits.
5. Organise the Liberation Sections — so members from every background are empowered.
6. Report Back Monthly — so the collective leadership is accountable to all members, not just itself.
Starmer’s Communications Chief Quits, Adding to British Leader’s Woes
The director of communications for Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain resigned on Monday, adding to a sense of crisis for the government and growing questions about Mr. Starmer’s leadership.
The communications director, Tim Allan, a veteran political operative who only joined Mr. Starmer’s government about five months ago, quit less than 24 hours after Morgan McSweeney stepped down as the prime minister’s chief of staff over ties between Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, and Britain’s former ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson.
Anas Sarwar calls for Keir Starmer to quit as Prime Minister
The Scottish Labour leader made the intervention in a press conference in Glasgow this afternoon as he attacked the „failures“ in Downing Street in the wake of revelations surrounding Peter Mandelson‘s links to Jeffrey Epstein and fears over damage the scandal may do to his party‘s chances at the Holyrood elections in May.
He told reporters his first priority is to Scotland and that he did not want to “sacrifice” the country to a third decade of an SNP government.
Inside Scottish Labour as MPs fear Mandelson impact on Holyrood vote
(February 6, 2026)
Now attention is turning to the ramifications of the scandal in Scotland ahead of the Holyrood election in May.
Anas Sarwar could prove another casualty of the spectacular fallout from the collapse of Lord Mandelson’s reputation.
Lord Mandelson’s continued friendship with Epstein has been public knowledge since the Financial Times reported in 2023 that the peer stayed at the convicted paedophile’s home in Manhattan in 2009, while he was in prison for child sex offences.
