SadaNews – Two Lebanese citizens were martyred and another was injured today, Sunday, in two separate Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon; the first targeted a motorcycle in the town of Yater, and the second hit a car between the towns of Safad al-Batikh and Barashit, marking a new escalation of Israeli assaults on southern regions.
Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Joya, with the toll from the attack still unknown; while the Israeli army stated that it targeted three members of Hezbollah in various areas of southern Lebanon.
Hamas issued a statement condemning the attack, saying it represented „a blatant violation“ of the fragile Gaza ceasefire agreement which came into effect in October.
“This crime reaffirms that the [Israeli] occupation is deliberately seeking to undermine and sabotage the ceasefire agreement through its escalating and continuous violations,” the group said in a post on Telegram.
It did not confirm whether a member of the group had been targeted in the attack.
US news site Axios reported that Israel had not warned the US in advance of the strike.

Broken ceasefires, bombing, ground incursions and mounting deaths: Israeli imperialism is now expanding across the region
Since that truce took effect, Israel has conducted near-daily attacks across Lebanon that have killed more than 300 people, including at least 127 civilians, according to the United Nations.
Zeina Khodr, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Lebanon, said the timing of Thursday’s attacks was crucial as they came a day after an “unprecedented shift in the nature” of Lebanon’s talks with Israel.
Israeli forces advanced 300 metres into Gaza City, breaching the yellow line and changing its boundaries, Al Jazeera reported on Thursday.
The report said that Israeli soldiers moved the markers, making it difficult for Palestinians to identify the boundary.
Israeli strikes across Gaza killed at least 32 Palestinians in the latest escalation of violence since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said 12 children and eight women were among those killed in the strikes, which continued from Wednesday into Thursday morning, while a further 88 people sustained injuries.
Israeli forces killed at least 34 Palestinians in overnight bombings, including 18 children and women, in Gaza City and Khan Younis, Al Jazeera Arabic reported on Thursday, quoting hospital sources.
At least 25 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza on Wednesday, Gaza’s health ministry said.
The ministry also said 77 others were left wounded in the attacks across Gaza City and Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported Wednesday that hospitals in the Strip received the bodies of three martyrs and four others who were wounded by Israeli fire over the past 24 hours.
The ministry noted that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, a total of 245 people have been martyred and 627 injured, while 532 bodies have been recovered from the rubble of destroyed buildings in various areas of the Strip
President Gustavo Petro ordered Colombia’s intelligence agencies to stop sharing information on drug trafficking with their United States counterparts until US President Donald Trump stops ordering strikes on boats in the Caribbean.
Petro announced the order on Twitter after US television network CNN reported that the United Kingdom suspended intelligence sharing over the strikes that have killed at least 67 people since early September.
The United Kingdom is no longer sharing intelligence with the US about suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean because it does not want to be complicit in US military strikes and believes the attacks are illegal, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
The UK’s decision marks a significant break from its closest ally and intelligence sharing partner and underscores the growing skepticism over the legality of the US military’s campaign around Latin America.
Almost daily, explosions demolish large swathes of homes across the Gaza Strip. Shelling and gunfire continue to kill and wound people, while drones hover overhead broadcasting disturbing recordings.
Meanwhile, essential food items and medical supplies remain scarce amid an ongoing Israeli siege.
“The genocide has only stopped in the media,” said Jendiya.
“They’ve stopped talking about it, but for us, it’s still ongoing.”
Jendiya lost her husband in one of the so-called “flour massacres” during the first year of the war, when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid, killing hundreds.
Today, she is displaced with her children and in-laws in a school in central Gaza City.

The latest jump in deaths is attributed to more bodies being recovered under the rubble in the devastated strip since the ceasefire began on Oct. 10, and also because previously unidentified bodies were identified. It also includes Palestinians killed by strikes on the territory since the truce took hold, attacks that Israel says are to take out remaining militants.
The Gaza Media Office on Monday said Israel has so far violated the 10 October ceasefire deal in Gaza 282 times, during which it has killed 242 Palestinians, and wounded 620.
The latest Israeli drone strike on Monday killed two Palestinians, one of whom was a child.

Israeli jets struck several towns in southern Lebanon on Thursday after urging residents to leave, marking an escalation in their near-daily strikes on the country.
The airstrikes came hours after militant group Hezbollah urged the Lebanese government not to enter negotiations with Israel.
NNA – The city of Nabatieh and its surrounding areas awoke to the horror of a brutal attack carried out by Israeli forces, which resulted in the deaths of four local youths and injuries to three others. The victims were targeted last night while in a Range Rover on Doha-Kafarman road, on the eastern edge of Kafarman.
The city, which was preparing this Sunday afternoon to bury martyr Hassan Hamed Ghaith, a delivery worker killed in an Israeli strike on Shoukin road, was also set to mark the annual remembrance of its municipal massacre, in which 13 people, including Mayor Dr. Ahmed Kaheel, were killed during the 66-Day War.
The state-run Lebanon News Agency reported that the strike, which involved a “guided missile”, targeted a car at about 2:15pm (16:15 GMT).
The attack came a day after Lebanese President Joseph Aoun accused Israel of escalating strikes in response to his offer to negotiate a more lasting end to the cross-border attacks.
The ministry added on Sunday that the number of wounded had increased to 170,670.
It said the bodies of seven victims arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, including three recently killed Palestinians, three recovered from under the debris, and one who succumbed to their wounds.
Since the ceasefire took effect on 11 October, 236 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and at least 600 others wounded.
At least 236 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since the ceasefire took effect, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Three Israeli soldiers have been killed by Palestinian fighters in the same period, according to the Israeli military.

The Jerusalem Governorate stated in a press release today, Thursday, that since the beginning of September, the occupation has started issuing what is known as „contact area permits“ for the residents of Nabi Samuel, the Khalayleh neighborhood, and Beit Iksa, which means that no person without this permit will be allowed to cross the military checkpoint that separates the three villages from their surroundings, imposing a new reality of complete isolation and subjecting the movement in and out of these villages to what is called „military approval from the occupation“.
The new decision requires residents to obtain special „magnetic cards“ that are renewed every four years, while permits to enter the contact areas are granted for only one year and are exclusively designated for access to the three villages without allowing movement within the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a new restriction on Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuil villages, and the Al-Khalayleh neighborhood, northwest of occupied East Jerusalem.
As per the new restriction which came into effect on Saturday, September 20, the residents of the affected areas were given permits with a label saying: “authorized to enter Israel”.
The move has been considered as a de facto annexation because it removed the communities from the Palestinian administrative registry, placing them under direct Israeli control instead.
Although these communities are classified within Areas “B” and “C” under the Oslo Accords, which means they should be administratively managed by the Palestinian Authority, Israel has imposed its sovereignty over them with its new restriction.
We have seen injured patients in Al-Aqsa, Nasser, and Al-Shifa hospitals.
Dr Morten Rostrup, a doctor at Al-Aqsa hospital, said: “When I got to the emergency room, it was a desperate situation. There is no doubt this is an attack on civilians, with so many children being injured and killed. Do we really call this a ceasefire?”
In Nasser hospital, our, and the Ministry of Health’s, teams received 22 dead and 60 injured, including children. Al-Aqsa hospital treated 77 injured, some of whom were referred to our field hospital. Lastly, at Al-Shifa, Ministry of Health teams received 27 dead and 56 injured.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed 211 people, according to the Ministry of Health. In the past 24 hours alone, they report that Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 104 people — including 46 children and 20 women — and injured 253 others, among them 78 children.
We have repeatedly called for a sustained ceasefire to stop the overwhelming level of death and catastrophic injuries suffered by civilians. So far, we are witnessing the consequences of repeated violations of this ceasefire, which perpetuate the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

An Israeli enemy warplane on Thursday carried out an airstrike on the Al-Labouneh area in Naqoura, targeting an open zone that ignited a large stretch of woodland.
The strike coincided with an Israeli detonation in the same area, causing significant environmental damage. No casualties have been reported so far.
(today, 10.32)
Israeli warplanes are currently carrying out airstrikes on the areas of Mahmoudiyeh and Jarmak, near the town of Aishiyeh in southern Lebanon.
No information has yet been reported on casualties or material damage.

The Lebanese army has requested that the committee responsible for overseeing the ceasefire take action to stop ongoing Israeli violations and continues to monitor incidents in coordination with UNIFIL.
The directive came during a meeting this morning at Baabda Palace with Army Commander General Rudolph Haykal, who briefed the President on the details of last night’s Israeli incursion into Blida, during which municipal employee Ibrahim Salamehwas killed while performing his duties.
President Aoun condemned the attack, describing it as “part of a continuous pattern of Israeli aggression” and noting that it occurred “shortly after the meeting of the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee (Mechanism), which must not limit itself to recording incidents, but act to end them by pressing Israel to respect the November ceasefire agreement and cease its violations of Lebanese sovereignty.”
