Time is running out as talks begin on Article 50 extension

One senior EU diplomat said all leaders would prefer to take the decision in good time: “We have to say yes a little bit before, not one minute before midnight.”

Once an extension is agreed, does it need to be legislated by the UK parliament before March 29?

Yes.

Labour steps up backing for second Brexit referendum

Jeremy Corbyn is expected to throw his weight in the coming days behind a proposal to hold a referendum on the UK government’s Brexit deal.

The Labour leader is backing an amendment by two of his party’s MPs that would put any deal to the public for a “confirmatory referendum” after it is approved by parliament.

Tory MPs threaten to back second Brexit referendum which could betray 17.4m voters as May’s deal on brink of collapse

Last night Antoinette Sandbach, another loyalist who has previously opposed a second referendum, also hinted she could change her mind.

She blasted: „Having voted for the deal twice and been labelled a ‚traitor‘ for doing so I am coming round to the argument we should see if reality lives up to the promises made to the electorate.“

John Bercow has plunged Britain into a “major constitutional crisis” after banning Theresa May from holding a third vote on her Brexit deal, the Solicitor General has said.

Netanyahu’s Latest Victim

Habash’s resignation is additional evidence that all of the State of Israel’s institutions have fallen hostage to a prime minister who will stop at nothing to remain in office. Without a trace of shame or responsibility, Netanyahu has the audacity to brazenly lie to the public, telling them that the leaders of the Kahol Lavan alliance (three former IDF chiefs, one of whom served under him, and another who was defense minister in his government) are supported by Iran

New Zealand’s ghoulish opportunists

What we have here is one of the most cynical exploitations of mass murder in recent years: the callous and censorious use of a barbaric assault to settle political and in some cases personal scores.
