Why IS the President publicly denying his mysterious bodyguard is his lover? GUY ADAMS on the sacked heavy who rose out from France‘s gritty suburbs to become Macron‘s right-hand man

Though virtually unknown to the public, it swiftly emerged that Benalla had, over the past 18 months, become a key figure in the married President’s public and private life.

His background was certainly unusual: raised in a gritty suburb of Evreux in Normandy, he became an activist for the Left-wing Socialist Party as a teenager, eventually becoming friendly with its security director Eric Plumer, who helped him get employment with party officials, including former President Francois Hollande.

Zwei Wege – Eine Katastrophe

Erste Auflage 2016.

Steve Bannon Tells Haaretz Why the Russians Aren‘t the Bad Guys and Why He Can‘t Be an anti-Semite

Bannon seems to have discovered something that for members of the American intelligentsia is not only strange, but practically incomprehensible: Racism is not an issue that interests the majority of Americans. The economy, not racism, was the issue of the election. What truly interests Americans is not the Mexicanness of illegal migrants, but the illegality of so much Mexican migration. “The Democrats,” Bannon told an infuriated Robert Kuttner at The American Prospect a few days before he was sacked from the White House, “the longer they talk about identity politics, I got ’em. I want them to talk about racism every day. If the left is focused on race and identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats.”

Trump: „Don‘t Believe The Crap You See From These People On Fake News“

„I mean, I saw a piece on NBC today. NBC — not just CNN. CNN is the worst. But I saw a piece on NBC; it was heart-throbbing. They were interviewing people — they probably go through 20, and then they pick the one that sounds like the worst. But they went through a group of people. In fact, I wanted to say, “I got to do something about this Trump.”

Terrible.

And that piece was done by the lobbyists and by the people that they hire. It was a total setup.“

The military does not belong to Donald Trump

Trump has now taken it a step further with what some say is an Orwellian declaration: „What you‘re seeing and what you‘re reading is not what‘s happening.“ But troops don‘t have the luxury of serving only the parts of the nation‘s fabric they agree with. They serve the nation. Despite Trump‘s tendency to talk about the military as „his'“ and „my generals,“ nothing could be further from the truth. The US military is and must stay apolitical. It is not Trump‘s.

The Middle East Forum has discovered that the Obama administration approved a grant of $200,000 of taxpayer money to an al-Qaeda affiliate in Sudan — a decade after the U.S. Treasury designated it as a terrorist-financing organization. More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization.

Jerusalem Post Fires Cartoonist Over Caricature Mocking Netanyahu, Likud Lawmakers

The Union of Journalists in Israel said that it „takes seriously the decision to fire cartoonist Katz from The Jerusalem Post because of his critical cartoon. Causing harm to a journalist because he expressed an opinion, lte alone when it was approved by his editors, is a dangerous step that must not be accepted. We call on Katz‘s editors to retract this unacceptable step.“

As a result of the firing, Tel Aviv‘s upcoming Animix Festival, which celebrates animation, comic books, and cartoons, will feature an exhibit on freedom of speech.
