Trump says he’ll help pick Iran’s leader, predicts regime change in Cuba
Asked whether the United States was playing a role in the Cuban government’s demise, Trump responded: “Well, what do you think? For 50 years, that’s icing on the cake. Venezuela is doing fantastically. [Delcy Rodríguez] is doing a fantastic job. The relationship with them is great.”
Trump also confirmed the United States is in touch with Cuba’s communist leadership as instability on the island intensifies following the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
“They need help. We are talking to Cuba,” Trump said.
Trump demands Iran‘s ‚unconditional surrender‘
U.S. President Donald Trump demanded Iran‘s „unconditional surrender“ on Friday, a dramatic escalation of his demands a week into the war he launched alongside Israel.
Trump made the remarks on social media just hours after Iran‘s president announced that unspecified countries had begun mediation efforts in one of the first signals of any diplomatic initiative to end the conflict.

White House welcomes Congress‘ green light for Iran conflict
In a statement after Thursday‘s House vote, the White House said: „Congress has reaffirmed the Commander-in-Chief‘s Constitutional authority to protect the American people from the Iranian regime‘s murderous ambitions and imminent threats.“

While the tally in the House, 212-219, was expected to be tight, the outcome provided a clarifying snapshot of political support for, and opposition to, the U.S.-Israel military operation and Trump‘s rationale for bypassing Congress, which alone has the power to declare war. At the Capitol, the conflict has quickly carried echoes of the long wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and many Sept. 11-era veterans now serve in Congress.
Trump calls Herzog ‚disgrace,‘ urges him to pardon Netanyahu ‚today‘ – N12
“Herzog should give Netanyahu a pardon today,” Trump was quoted as saying, while also sharply criticizing Herzog and claiming the Israeli president had promised him multiple times that a pardon would be issued.
Trump called Herzog „a disgrace,“ and said he had “promised me five times” that he would pardon Netanyahu, according to the N12 report,
Will the war with Iran boost Netanyahu’s prospects at the ballot box?
An Israeli victory in the war against Iran would likely give Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a bump in the polls but may not guarantee him a win in the upcoming national elections, in the assessment of several veteran political analysts. But were the regime to fall, it would significantly boost his prospects.
Since the outbreak of the war over the weekend, the opposition has set aside its criticisms and rallied behind the government, which a majority of Israeli Jews have told pollsters they believe can handle the conflict effectively.

DHS Insiders Spill What Really Got ICE Barbie Fired
The axe fell on the 54-year-old Homeland Security secretary almost immediately after her humiliating performance on Capitol Hill. Noem testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday and the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. They were her first congressional appearances since federal agents under her command killed two U.S. citizens, Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, both 37, during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis in January.
Already facing backlash for Good’s killing when Pretti was shot dead just a few days later, Noem sparked outrage by falsely describing Pretti as a domestic terrorist—and then privately trying to pin the blame for the fiasco on White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
“She was blaming Miller for a lot. No way Trump lets her stay after that,” the DHS insider said.
Trump fires Homeland Security Secretary Noem after mounting criticism over her leadership
Noem has faced waves of criticism as she’s overseen Trump’s immigration crackdown, especially since the shooting deaths of the two protesters in Minneapolis at the hands of immigration enforcement officers. In the immediate aftermath of the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Noem portrayed both of them as aggressors, contradicting widely viewed videos and descriptions of their deaths from bystanders. She declined to apologize for her description over two days of Congressional testimony.
The former South Dakota governor was also criticized over the way her department has spent billions of dollars allocated to it by Congress.
Top Goon Kristi Noem is the face of Trump’s police state. Corey Lewandowski is the muscle. Who really runs DHS?
(September 22, 2025)
On paper, Noem sits at the top of this empire. In practice, power over immigration policy is fractured, shaped by competing factions, starting with deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, who has vowed in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination to destroy nameless forces that have conspired against the right — the long arm of law enforcement, he warned them, “will be used to find you, will be used to take away your money, take away your power, and, if you’ve broken the law, to take away your freedom.” Noem will be among those at the forefront of any such effort, surrounded by a tight inner circle that can be difficult to penetrate and often impossible to work with. “The culture over there is terrible,” the administration official told me. “People are scared shitless of Corey.”
