No indictment for Netanyahu
(20. April 1997)
Netanyahu told CNN‘s Walter Rodgers he was „glad that the truth came out,“ and said the entire incident was „blown out of proportion and twisted out of shape.“
„It‘s politics,“ he said in an interview shortly after the attorney general released his report. „Of course there were people out to get us. But this is going nowhere. It‘s done. It‘s finished.“
Netanyahu formally asks for pardon from Israeli president
„Faced with the security challenges and political opportunities currently facing the State of Israel, I am committed to doing everything in my power to heal the rifts, achieve unity among the people, and restore trust in the state‘s systems, and I expect all heads of state agencies to do the same.“
Netanyahu faces charges of fraud, bribery and breach of trust, to which he has entered a plea of „not guilty“
‚Your Party‘ Members Vote To Make The Party‘s Name Permanent
During the inaugural conference being held in Liverpool this weekend, all members were asked to vote on what to call the new party, which was temporarily named ‘Your Party‘ earlier this year.
Members voting online have now chosen to keep the ‘Your Party’ name permanently, with 37.06 per cent voting in favour on a 30 per cent turnout. Almost 17,000 members voted on the name.
Your Party votes to be led by members rather than single MP – avoiding Corbyn-Sultana battle
A Your Party spokesperson said: „This vote shows that we really are doing politics differently: from the bottom-up, not the top-down.
„In Westminster, we have a professional political class increasingly disconnected from ordinary people, serving corporations and billionaires instead of the communities they are supposed to represent.
„With a truly member-led party, we will offer something different: democratic, grassroots, accountable.“
Your Party Founding Conference – Day Two
We‘re getting the party started. Tune in to Your Party‘s Founding Conference LIVE from Liverpool.
Two days of debate, discussion and voting on Your Party‘s founding documents, as we build a new kind of political party: grassroots, democratic, transformative.

Gallego warns of ‘consequences’ to military for ‘going after sitting members of Congress’
(November 25, 2025)
“Because they know that Donald Trump will be gone and they will not have that protection,” he added. “They’re going to have to do the safest thing possible, which is follow the Constitution of the United States, and you’ll be fine.”
Gallego then looked directly into the camera and gave a message to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. On Monday, Hegseth said the Pentagon would conduct a “thorough review” of allegations against Kelly, who first heard of the investigation in Hegseth’s post on the social platform X.
“You will never, ever, ever even be half the man that Sen. Kelly is,” Gallego told Hegseth. “You, sir, are a coward. And the fact that you are following this order from the president shows how big of a coward you are. And I can’t wait till you no longer are the secretary of Defense.”
House committee seeks ‘full accounting’ of boat strike after WaPo ‘kill everybody’ report
The leaders of the House Armed Services Committee said late Saturday they are seeking “full accounting” of an early September U.S. military attack against an alleged drug-trafficking boat in the Caribbean after a report alleged that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered U.S. troops to “kill everybody” aboard the vessel.
“This committee is committed to providing rigorous oversight of the Department of Defense’s (DOD) military operations in the Caribbean,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), the chair of the House committee, and Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.), the top Democrat on the panel, said in a joint statement.
