Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi plans to travel to Moscow on Monday, June 23, for talks with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. This was reported by NBC News journalist Andrea Mitchell, who spoke with the Iranian Foreign Minister, according to UNN.
The number of participants is anticipated to reach around 1,000, marking a record high-level attendance compared to previous sessions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is expected to attend a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul on Saturday, a Turkish foreign ministry source says, as fighting rages between Israel and Iran.
The source says a special session of the 51st OIC Council of Foreign Ministers is expected to focus on Israel’s recent strikes against Iranian nuclear and military sites, including today’s attack on the Khondab nuclear site in Arak.
Israel attacked Iran‘s Isfahan nuclear site in the early hours of Saturday, the Fars news agency reported, saying there were no hazardous leaks or risk to the population. (,,,)

The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain plan to hold nuclear talks with their Iranian counterpart on Friday in Geneva, a German diplomatic source told Reuters.
The ministers will first meet with the European Union‘s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, at Germany‘s permanent mission in Geneva before holding a joint meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, the source said.
In a post on X, Araghchi said Netanyahu was „a con man who has duped successive US Presidents into fighting his own wars for almost three decades. By all indications, the purpose of Netanyahu‘s criminal attack on Iran – killing hundreds of innocent civilians, including women and children – is to scuttle a DEAL between Iran and the US, which we were on the right path to achieve.
Araghchi also accused Netanyahu of „playing“ President Donald Trump and American taxpayers „for absolute fools“. He said if Trump was serious about diplomacy, it would take „one phone call from Washington to muzzle someone like Netanyahu“. He also warned that an absence of a negotiated solution would have untold consequences for regional security and the global economy and get the US „mired in the Mother of Forever Wars“.

Spain’s Foreign Minister Albares expressed regret over the attacks and loss of life, voiced concern about escalating regional tensions, and offered Spain’s readiness to contribute positively to de-escalation efforts.
Araghchi also criticized the destructive stance of three European countries supporting Israel’s overt aggression and thanked Spain for its constructive proposal.
Speaking to foreign ambassadors in Tehran, Araghchi emphasized that the war was “imposed” on Tehran and that Iran was left with no choice but to respond.
“Our defense is fully legitimate and will be carried out with strength, solely in response to aggression,” he said.
“If the attacks cease, Iran’s retaliatory actions will also end.”
Araghchi emphasized that progress would not be achieved through “media narratives,” but through “serious negotiations.” He warned against disinformation campaigns aimed at sabotaging diplomacy, directly criticizing Israel for manipulating the Iran issue to target American political opponents. “Using Iran to attack American critics is low, even for Israel,” he wrote. “The path to a deal runs through the negotiating table—not the headlines.”
Iran showed the peaceful nature of its nuclear program to the world by signing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with six world powers in 2015.
The landmark deal was derailed in 2018 by the US, which unilaterally walked out of the accord and launched its so-called campaign of maximum pressure against Iran.

Iran’s lead negotiator, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, said in a post on X later Friday that the country hasn’t received a written proposal.
“In the meantime, the messaging we — and the world — continue to receive is confusing and contradictory,” he wrote. Earlier, Araghchi had said, “What the parties to the negotiations say in the media is not the same as what they say behind closed doors.”
Araghchi also repeated his insistence that Iran retain some enrichment capacity, which has been a major sticking point. U.S. officials have given conflicting messages on the levels of uranium enrichment they would accept.
Iran‘s foreign ministry characterized the indirect discussions with the U.S. in Oman as „constructive“ and generally „positive“ in a statement released shortly after the talks concluded. The discussions centered on Iran‘s nuclear program and Washington’s sanctions against the country.
Emphasizing the indirect nature of the talks, the statement noted that the Iranian and American delegations were situated in separate halls for the two-and-a-half-hour negotiation, communicating through written messages. At the end of the session, Iran‘s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Special Envoy to West Asia Steve Witkoff had a brief face-to-face encounter and “exchanged greetings out of courtesy” as they departed.
Middle East envoy Steve Wiktoff, alongside U.S. Ambassador to Oman Ana Escrogima, spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Saturday in a nearly two-and-a-half-hour-long meeting that was mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidy.
The two sides started talking at about 3:30 p.m. local time and finished at around 5:50 p.m. They were held just outside of Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam al-Sabbagh on Friday, where both officials examined the evolving situation in Syria and broader regional developments.

For his part, Mikati briefed Araghchi on the latest situation in Lebanon, terming Israel‘s acts of aggression as a real example of war crimes.
While he lamented the inaction of the UN Security Council against the dangerous adventures of the Zionist enemy, the Lebanese prime minister appreciated the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Lebanese government and people amid unrelenting Israeli strikes.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Beirut on Friday, the most senior international official to visit Lebanon since Nasrallah‘s killing. He arrived at Beirut’s airport, where overnight an Israeli strike landed nearby.
Mr Araghchi is confirmed to meet Prime Minister Najib Mikati and speaker of parliament Nabih Berri.
