In Letter to #UNSC, @LebanonUN calls on the #UN to condemn #Israel‘s Jan 2 strike on #Beirut which killed #Hamas Deputy Chief Saleh al-Arouri.

#Lebanon calls it the most dangerous chapter of Israeli attacks on its sovereignty as it hit a crowded residential area of its capital and says pressure must be put on Israel „in order to prevent the conflict from escalating and plunging the entire region into a comprehensive and destructive war that will be difficult to contain.“ The letter adds that „this is a matter of concern because it may lead to an expansion of the conflict and destabilize regional peace and security. Once again, Israel provides clear evidence of its commitment to pursuing a policy of aggression and violence in resolving conflicts“ which is contrary with the principles of the UN Charter. The letter also notes continuing threats by Israeli officials that they could destroy Lebanon.

War on Gaza: Survivors recount harrowing Israeli field executions

For three days, Moemen Raed al-Khaldi lay wounded and motionless between the corpses of his killed family members, pretending to be dead to protect himself from being shot by Israeli soldiers.

On 21 December, Israeli soldiers broke into the house where the Khaldi family had taken refuge in northern Gaza and, in mere minutes, they shot everyone present.

The soldiers left the house thinking they had killed them all, only Moemen remained alive, bleeding for days before the neighbours found him and took him to hospital.

Demands for Israeli Ambassador to UK‘s Expulsion After ‚Clear Call for Genocide‘

Hotovely told Dale that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have found that „every school, every mosque, every second house, has an access to tunnel,“ referring to the tunnels used by Hamas—which were first built when Gaza was under Israeli control in 1980.

„That‘s an argument for destroying the whole of Gaza, every single building,“ Dale said, prompting Hotovely to ask, „Do you have another solution, how to destroy the underground tunnel city?“

Journalist Hamza Ali Shah said the ambassador‘s statement amounted to „a clear call for genocide.“

Israel Found the Hamas Money Machine Years Ago. Nobody Turned It Off.

(16.12.2023)

Israeli leaders believed that Hamas was more interested in governing than fighting. By the time the agents discovered the ledgers in 2018, the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was encouraging the government of Qatar to deliver millions of dollars to the Gaza Strip. He gambled that the money would buy stability and peace.

Mr. Levy recalled briefing Mr. Netanyahu personally in 2015 about the Hamas portfolio.

Tlaib Says Biden Admin ‚At Serious Risk‘ of ICC Prosecution

(Dec 11, 2023)

Legal experts and scholars have been warning since October that U.S. officials could be rendering themselves complicit in war crimes—and genocide—by continuing to arm the Israeli military as it wages indiscriminate war on the Gaza Strip.

Tlaib echoed that warning Monday, noting that the Biden administration has opted to „give weapons to a military that is very publicly and actively committing serious war crimes and crimes against humanity.“
