Am 10. März wurden vier italienische Touristen mit einer respiratorischen Symptomatik entdeckt, die sich in einer Pension in der Stadt Trinidad in der Provinz Sancti Spiritus befanden, die am 9. März über den Internationalen Flughafen José Martí in Havanna eingereist und sich noch am selben Tag weiter nach Trinidad begeben hatten. Sie wurden sofort ins Institut für Tropenmedizin Pedro Kouri (IPK) überwiesen.

Spanish health authorities reported on Monday that the number of coronavirus infections in Spain had risen by 1,000 to 9,191 cases. The jump of 13% makes Spain the country with the second-highest number of new daily cases in the world, according to the latest comparable data from the World Health Organization. The trials will be held at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute in Seattle. Testing will involve 45 young, healthy volunteers and it uses Moderna‘s mRNA-1273 vaccine.
