White House Says Israel is Lying About Hamas after Israel Bombs Themselves Then Unleashes Bombs on Gaza in Retaliation
Fact punch: A senior administration official told conservative reporter Curt Mills: “Hamas did nothing. Israeli tank hit an unexploded IED that has probably been there for months.”
Why it matters now: Netanyahu used the Rafah blast to halt aid, resume bombings, and blame Hamas — while Washington knew within hours it wasn’t a Hamas attack.
Moral clarity: When leaders knowingly weaponize a lie to starve babies and bomb civilians, that’s not fog of war — that’s policy.
US Government Knew Hamas Was Not behind Rafah Blast – Reports
Grim reported that “After Netanyahu said he was blocking all aid from entering Gaza in response, and unleashed a bombing campaign, the administration conveyed to Israel that they know what happened.”
Netanyahu “then announced he would re-open the crossings in a few hours,” he added.
Grim also cited Palestinian journalist Younis Tirawi as saying that the incident in Rafah was not a Hamas attack, “but rather a bulldozer operated by a settler company ran over some sort of explosive device or unexploded ordnance.”
Wait? WHAT! Israel breaks ceasefire because they accidentally drove over their own bomb?
Israeli officials said later in the day that two IDF soldiers were killed in the attack. According to Haaretz, Israeli military officials said they thought militants fired on Israeli troops after exiting a tunnel, but other reports contradict the claim.
Curt Mills, the Executive Director of The American Conservative, wrote on X that a senior Trump administration official told him: “Hamas did nothing. Israeli tank hit an unexploded IED that has probably been there for months.”
Ryan Grim, a reporter for Drop Site News, reported something similar.
Israel Flipped Out And Killed 45 Palestinians After Running Over Their Own Bomb
In today’s news, Israel’s stupid fucking genocidal rapists ran over an unexploded ordnance from their own evil carpet bombing campaign, blamed Hamas for the explosion, started bombing the fuck out of Gaza again, killed scores of civilians, said they were once again cutting off aid to the enclave, and then quietly backed down on urging from Washington.
Rather than report that Israel violated the ceasefire agreement as blatantly as any agreement could possibly be violated, the western press have been referring to this as a “test” of the ceasefire
Odeh urges opposition factions to work together to topple Netanyahu’s government ‘as soon as possible’
Hadash-Ta’al chairman Ayman Odeh calls on fellow opposition factions to join together to topple Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government “as soon as possible.”
Addressing reporters ahead of his party’s weekly faction meeting in the Knesset, Odeh says that the government has three aims during the current parliamentary session, “harming the West Bank…promoting the judicial coup…and preventing the Arab population from running in the next elections.”
Knesset MP Ofer Cassif on the Need for Palestinian Liberation
(October 18, 2025)
Dora Mengüç After October 7, Israeli society went through a deep trauma. You’ve said the government weaponized that trauma.
Ofer Cassif Yes. The massacre committed by Hamas was horrific — we all condemned it. But the government used fear, pain, and rage to manipulate people and justify a genocidal war.
The attack on Gaza had nothing to do with the well-being of Israelis, not even revenge. It was about realizing a preexisting plan — the annexation of occupied Palestinian territories without granting basic rights, and the expulsion of Palestinians who resist.
(…)
The only solution is the two-state solution. Gaza should be liberated, the West Bank including East Jerusalem must be liberated. The Palestinian people must be liberated — which, in my view, is also the liberation of the Israeli people. Because, of course, Palestinians are the main victims of occupation and apartheid — but we Israelis are also hostages of the fanaticism that sustains this system.

Germany to send military personnel to support Gaza ceasefire monitoring
The deployment does not require authorization from the German parliament, „as no involvement in armed operations is expected,“ the ministry said.
The announcement follows German Chancellor Friedrich Merz‘s earlier commitment to provide strong political, financial, and technical support for the Gaza ceasefire plan while stopping short of committing troops to the planned International Stabilization Force.
Gaza death toll rises
Gaza’s Health Ministry says bodies of 57 people were brought to hospitals across the coastal enclave in the last 24 hours.
Since October 2023, at least 68,216 people have been killed and 170,361 wounded by Israeli attacks across Gaza.
Hamas delegation to meet Qatari, Egyptian officials in Cairo
A Hamas delegation is set to meet Qatari and Egyptian officials in Cairo on Monday to discuss the Gaza ceasefire, AFP reported.
The reports said the delegation, headed by Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya, will discuss „the dozens of air strikes that killed dozens in the Gaza Strip“ on Sunday.

Israel Airports Authority says traffic disruptions around the airport are expected between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. local time and that some flights are scheduled to be moved to another terminal.
Neither the White House nor the Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed the trip.
Witkoff, Kushner land in Israel amid push to safeguard Gaza ceasefire
Today, 10:34 am
US special envoy Steve Witkoff and top White House advisor Jared Kushner land in Israel, the US Embassy tells The Times of Israel.
Their visit is part of a concerted US push to keep the fledgling ceasefire in Gaza from fraying further, a day after two IDF troops were killed in a Hamas attack and Israel responded with airstrikes across the Strip.
Vance says Gaza needs peacekeepers, security setup before Hamas disarms
The US vice president, JD Vance, on Monday said that security infrastructure needs to be in place and international peacekeepers need to deploy to Gaza before Hamas disarms.
“Before we actually can ensure that Hamas is properly disarmed, that’s going to require… some of these Gulf Arab states to get forces in there to actually apply some law and order and some security-keeping on the ground,” Vance told reporters.
“We don’t even have the security infrastructure in place, meaning the Gulf Arab states, our allies, don’t have the security infrastructure in place yet to confirm that Hamas is disarmed,” he added.
Trump says Gaza ceasefire remains in effect as Israel kills 45
20 October 2025 06:20 BST
US President Donald Trump on Monday that the ceasefire in Gaza remains in effect, after a series of Israeli strikes killed at least 97 people in the Palestinian territory, news agency AFP reported.
„Yes, it is,“ Trump told reporters aboard the presidential plane when asked if the cease-fire he helped broker was still in effect.
He also suggested that Hamas leaders were not involved in the alleged truce violations and instead blamed „some rebels within the movement.“
Trump says ‘rebels’ staged deadly attack on IDF troops in Gaza, echoing Hamas claim
The Israel Defense Forces directly blamed Hamas for the attack, but Trump’s comment appeared to echo the assertion by the terror group that the incident occurred in an area under Israeli control, where they claim to have had no contact with their operatives for months.
“As you know, they’ve been quite rambunctious. They’ve been doing some shooting, and we think maybe the leadership isn’t involved in that,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
