King Charles III‘s state visit to France has been postponed after a request by President Emmanuel Macron, Downing Street says.

For a few hours Friday morning, a long section of Whitehall, the street leading to the Houses of Parliament – and studded with government departments – was transformed into another location of Israel‘s growing pro-democracy protest movement.

But Mr Sunak did dedicate a smaller part of the meeting to raising difficult subjects, including “international concern at growing tensions in the West Bank and the risk of undermining efforts towards the two state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“The Prime Minister stressed the importance of upholding the democratic values that underpin our relationship, including in the proposed judicial reforms in Israel,” a statement from No 10 said, hinting at a delicate challenge of his policy.

Deutschland bietet das Bild einer ganz normalen Kolonie in einer ganz normalen Hegemonie eines ganz normalen Imperiums, was sich seit achtzehn Jahren in einem weltweit geführten Krieg immer weiter ausdehnt.
Das ist was passiert. Das ist, was in der Geschichte der Menschheit immer wieder passiert ist.

After visits in Paris, Rome and Berlin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will leave Thursday evening for a diplomatic visit to London where he will meet with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Their meeting will focus on the Iranian issue and the need to formulate a united international front against Iran in order to stop its nuclear program.
Pro-democracy Protest Leader Arrested, Barred From Protest Site Upon Release
The police arrested on Thursday Shikma Bressler, a leader in the protests against Netanyahu‘s government plan to overhaul Israel‘s judiciary with a police commander initially saying she had been arrested on suspicion of incitement to block a road.
There is no such law on the books, however, and the police later said Bressler had encouraged protesters to block the road and would be interrogated on suspicion of hindering a police officer and disturbing the public order.
