The Fall and Rise of German Arms Exports to Israel: Questions for the International Court of Justice

On June 2, 2025, the German Bundestag disclosed the level of military support Germany has provided Israel over the past 19 months. The report states that “from October 7, 2023, to May 13, 2025, individual export licenses for the final export of military equipment to Israel with a total value of 485,103,796 euros were issued…. The deliveries included, among other things, firearms, ammunition, weapon parts, special equipment for the army and navy, electronic equipment, and special armored vehicles.”
The Bundestag’s disclosure (in full here) raises serious questions about the story Germany told the International Court of Justice in April 2024 in the pending case concerning Alleged Breaches of Certain International Obligations in respect of the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Nicaragua v. Germany).
Gaza death toll rises to 58,026, over 138,000 injured
GAZA — The death toll from the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip has risen to 58,026, while 138,520 others have been injured since October 7, 2023, Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) reported.
Medical sources said on Sunday evening that among the fatalities are 7,450 people killed and 26,479 others injured since March 18, that is, since the occupation resumed its aggression against the Strip after the ceasefire agreement.
Israel says its jets bombed Gaza 150 times over past day
The Israeli air force struck 150 times across Gaza in the past 24 hours, it said, adding that there was also a land attack carried out in Beit Hanoon in northern Gaza.

Israel, Russia Military Hotline ‚Very Useful‘ to Avoid Incidents

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced agreements with Norway and Germany on the supply of three air defense systems and the manufacturer‘s readiness.
„We have a positive dialogue with President Trump on the Patriot systems. My request concerns 10 Patriot systems and the corresponding volume of missiles for these systems. Germany is ready to pay – I have agreements with them – two systems. Norway is ready to pay – I have bilateral agreements with the Prime Minister – one system.“ When we receive a clear answer from the manufacturer and from the various US options regarding dates, of course, we understand the cost, then other European partners will join in.

Russia launched 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones against Ukraine overnight, most of which were destroyed, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported Saturday morning.
„Last night, Russia‘s strikes extended from the Kharkiv and Sumy regions to the Lviv region and Bukovyna. 26 cruise missiles and 597 attack drones were launched, more than half of them were „shaheds.“ More than 20 missiles and the vast majority of drones were destroyed. I thank our air defense forces for this result,“ Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
The president expressed condolences over the deaths in Chernivtsi: „Sadly, there were hits on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. As of now, 2 people have been reported killed in Chernivtsi. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 20 more people injured in the attack are receiving all the necessary assistance.“
