One year after the official recognition of the State of Palestine by Ireland, Norway, Slovenia and Spain, in the framework of the ‘Madrid+’ Group of the meeting, we have met to renew and reinforce the international commitment for the implementation of the two-State solution and to the principle that only a viable, contiguous Palestinian State, with internationally recognised borders, comprised of Gaza and the West Bank and with East Jerusalem as its capital, can fully satisfy the legitimate national aspirations and the needs of peace and security of both the people of Palestine and Israel.
This commitment has had an undeniable impact on the international dynamics regarding the conflict in Gaza, creating momentum for the implementation of the two-State solution.
After many years of stagnation, implementation of the two State solution and recognition of Palestine is not only morally right, but it also produced the necessary momentum to revive the spirit of the implementation of the two-State solution. In September 2024 in the United Nations, the international community agreed on the creation of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State solution. Its meetings have, in this spirit, strived to make the two-State reality possible.
The momentum that was created in May last year, ultimately culminated on 10th December 2024, when the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted Resolution A/RES/79/81, which called for a High Level Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. We believe that this High Level Conference, to be held on 17th June 2025 under UN auspices and co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, represents not only the occasion with the highest degree of international legitimacy, but also the appropriate framework in which to finally advance the implementation of the two-State solution.
Israel fires at Palestinian aid seekers as new north Gaza expulsion orders issued
Avichay Adraee, the Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, called on Palestinians residing in the areas of Al-Atatra, Jabalia Al-Balad, Shujaiya, Al-Daraj and Al-Zeitoun, located in the north of the Gaza Strip, to flee westward.
„From this moment on, the mentioned areas will be considered dangerous combat zones,“ the post read, adding that the military is expanding its operations in the region.
At least 28 Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip on Friday morning, following the latest round of Israeli offensives. The death toll is expected to rise as operations intensify.
Gaza is the ‘hungriest place on earth’, as Israel continues stranglehold on aid
“Gaza is the hungriest place on Earth,” OCHA spokesperson Jens Laerke told reporters in Geneva, stressing that it is the only defined territory in the world where the entire population is at risk of famine.
“The aid operation that we have ready to roll is being put in an operational straitjacket that makes it one of the most obstructed aid operations, not only in the world today, but in recent history,” he said.
Mr. Laerke explained that out of nearly 900 aid trucks that were approved to enter from the Israeli side since the reopening of the Kerem Shalom border crossing between Israel and the war-torn enclave ten days ago, less than 600 have been offloaded on the Gaza side.
An even lower number has been picked up for distribution in Gaza, he said, pointing to the “congested, insecure” routes which humanitarians are assigned to use by the Israeli authorities, as well as “significant delays” in the approvals.

It takes a lot of education to make us this stupid. Our minds require a whole lot of training to accept this horrific dystopia as the baseline norm. That’s why the empire we live under has the most sophisticated domestic propaganda machine that has ever existed.
In order to have clarity, we need to learn to look with fresh eyes. Uninitiated eyes. Eyes that have not been educated out of their initial healthy impulse to weep at what we are doing and how we are living here. We need to get in touch with that intuition within us which rejects the sickness of our society as though it was meeting it for the very first time.
Israel slams Macron’s ‘crusade against Jewish state’ over Palestinian statehood call
Israel on Friday accused President Emmanuel Macron of undertaking a „crusade against the Jewish state“ after the French leader said the recognition of a Palestinian state was a „moral duty“ as well as a „political necessity“. At a press conference in Singapore, Macron called on European countries to harden their stance on Israel unless the humanitarian crisis in Gaza improved.
France may impose sanctions on settlers if Israel continues blocking aid, Macron says
„The humanitarian blockade is creating a situation that is untenable on the ground,“ Macron said at a joint press conference in Singapore with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
„And so, if there is no response that meets the humanitarian situation in the coming hours and days, obviously, we will have to toughen our collective position,“ Macron said, adding that France may consider applying sanctions against Israeli settlers.
Gaza death toll tops 54,300 as Israeli attacks continue
The health ministry in Gaza says Israel’s war has killed at least 54,321 Palestinians since it began in October 2023.
– A total of 123,770 people have been wounded, according to the ministry’s latest update.
– In the past 24 hours alone, 72 deaths and 278 injuries were recorded – figures that do not include northern Gaza, where hospitals are barely functioning.
